Great interval training, good views and not crowded

Enjoyable hike! Did the West Ridge Trail to Bear Creek trail to Bear creek cut off. I like how you can link trails to make your hike longer or shorter. Very minimal mud and ice today. Nice balance of shade and sun. No big ‘vistas’ but lovely meadow and trees.

A good beginning of season hike. I found it to be busy, but beautiful. I will definitely come back. For those with dogs there is a brief stretch you must share with mountain bikers, not ideal for bikers or dog owners but it's a short stretch. This will definitely go in my early season rotation.

A quick steep climb. A good walk in the woods.

A good low alpine mountain climb. Keep your head on a swivel for fast moving (sometime out of control) mountain bikers.

Yaktrax were needed. The falls are still frozen but was a great hike.

Beautiful hike for the average hiker with a variety of terrain.

Steep climb with nice views from the top. Make sure when at the top go to all sides to get a 360 view.

Kind of a mini-Bergen Peak. Great trail close to Denver. Home-trail-lunch-home was a little under 4 hours (probably 2 hours on the trail). Late February the trail was snowpacked (recent snowfall) with no ice. Didn't need snowshoes or traction. On a Saturday morning saw 15-20 hikers and half a dozen bikers. You're in forest most of the way, but with some scenic views at the top. We'll be going back.

A beautiful hike with a lot of changing scenery. End is close to the highway but the rest is fantastic!

Amazing workout, stunning views!

Lovely and pleasant 2.5hour walk through the forest, so quiet and peaceful. Didn’t come across too many people. Path was mostly good although some areas rather icy - we managed with good walking shoes but would recommend stabilizers. Not that strenuous, but a good bit of exercise!

good hike, yaktrax helped a lot with ice

The map on All Trails is not correct. The trails have since been re-routed. Check the trail map at the parking lot! Otherwise a great hike.

Not a huge workout but nice trail and beautiful vistas

Went on a warm afternoon in February. Very easy and relaxing trail. Only saw two other people. Very icy in some spots. Use Crampons for sure at this time of year.

Hiked today with cramp ons! It was a great day! Trail was icy but with the cramps it was perfect! Nice workout

Got this trail done along with Bergen Peak Trail, 10 miles total.

I finished this trail along with Bergen Peak Trail.

when you first walk up you can choose north or south. I chose north and boy was it strenuous and basically straight up. once I got to the top of that there is an option to go back down south route or straight up. I went straight up.. it was pretty hard but well worth it. the views at the very top are so rewarding. perfect spot for a picnic! not a good trail for beginners due to the incline and occasional ice patches

Nice easy trail that I took my dog up. Lots of shade on the trail so you don't overheat. View at the top is OK but maybe it's because I don't like hiking that much.

This trail was a lot of fun in the snow! It was beautiful. The trail changes elevation often during the loop and gives a good workout.

This trail was an awesome moderate hike! Awesome for the kind you want to do leisurely and chat with your pals. Not a lot of outstanding, spectacular views like some of those Colorado hikes, but beautiful nonetheless. Highly recommended if you want do have a nice hike in the woods.

Beautiful trail. Falls were frozen but you could hear a small stream of running water. Nice vistas on the cliff loop trail. Can’t wait to go back!

Nice close to the city quick hike. Frozen falls/creek was cool. Some icy spots but micro spikes were not needed.

Short but great hike. Nice incline and beautiful view at the top.

Fun trail with some varying landscapes. Fairly consistent elevation though nothing strenuous. This could border on easy depending on how frequently you hike. I started off in the Alderfer Ranch Parking Lot and took the West trail up to the peak. Great views at the top as you would expect. Went back down on the East trail then looped back on the Ranch View trail. Roughly 6 miles total and about 1000' of elevation change for the route I took. Took me just over 2 and a half hours. Would definitely recommend!

Up and down on the East Trail to Evergreen Mountain today, beautiful weather, easy six miles. Trail is clear - need a snow
