Great walk - steep descents be careful! Perfect length for a good work out and v enjoyable
Lovely chilled walk into the forest.
Beautiful trail taking you through several landscapes. We were lucky to have a sunny day- otherwise the climb might be quite muddy when wet.
We parked a bit further down the road in Ranmore Common carpark which is free and then walked up the road to pick up the trail. The trail is a mixture of open fields and scenery and wooded areas. Polesdon Lacey is a good pit stop for a toilet break or a cafe stop. A nice trail to walk.
beautiful views, a lovely short walk through the woodland
Fairly easy one with a few challenging hills! Some lovely looking pubs along the way, will be great to visit when they reopen.
Hills....hills.....hills. If you love hills then this is a great one! Luckily we love hills and had a lovely hike. Busy near the NT centre but lovely once you get out into the sticks
It’s tough as we climbed the off beaten track from near the stepping stones/// parked there crossed the bridge climbed up face first then past the fort to the shop area/ coffee shop Then with out stopping pressed straight into the Red route/ It takes you down a long steep gravely winding trail then you hit the first hill Of the route, there’s about 4 to 5 hill climbs, 3 of which are steep and we pressed on// the actual red route completed with some running on the flat areas/ 2 hours exactly We keep beating our previous times chuffed/// remember we’d climbed box hill face before that, that’s an add on// never stopped straight into red route no breaks Best of luck
We are very lucky to live within 5 minutes walking distance of this beautiful walk. It is perfect.
really nice loop, lots of lovely Cotswold houses and great scenery
Lovely trail and stunning views
Very nice and well kept
Really lovely walk, and not to challenging - lots of animals along the way.
Still a fair bit of mud even though it hasn’t rained much of late. Nice mix of woods and fields.
Very muddy, but nice on a sunny day!
Up hill, down hill and side ways it’s like a rollercoaster, but damn was it a good time.
Great walk, I started from the cricketers at sarrat green, easier parking. Most of the mud has dried up, just one part where I had to climb over a fence instead of using the kissing gate due to huge puddle.
We ended up doing this trail backwards by accident, but a very good walk, some tough inclines, lots of nature to take in. Would recommend and definitely do it again.
Nice walk but had to walk through loads of holly bushes to get around a woodchipper blocking the path at the end
Lovely walk, beautiful area, two uphill parts, some paths, woodlands and fields. The garden centre wasn’t open for a takeaway drink, although it is Monday. Past the deer park, lots of pheasants, cows sheep horses and seen a muntJac! Good phone signal all the way round. The app was amazing for guiding me the right way as this was my first walk using this app!
Quite easy, nice views, had to take a small detour at the end as there were some wood works
Hilly but the vie is worth it
A nice walk with plenty of good views but plenty near or on roads so be careful with dogs.
Loved it, beautiful, mixed terrain, outstanding views. I went off track a bit in one section.. this is my first run in a new place so not a surprise! Feel great now
A beautiful walk through some of the most lovely bits of Surrey Hills. They are doing some forestry maintenance at the moment so you might need to do some rerouting to avoid the machinery.
Lovely walk. Quiet during the day on a Wednesday. Took around 2 hours with a quick stop for lunch.
Lovely walk with great views and a varied trail.
The trail was really good. We started from the Crabtree car park and we found a perfect place in the midway (with a view) for lunch. And it has amazing vineyard too
