Nice hike, bring plenty of water and sun screen.

nice hike,Spring is great, because everything is green. made to the caves and to Castle peak.moderate.

Go in the spring, when everything is still nice and green. made it to the caves and castle peak.moderate, bring sun screen and plenty of water.moderate.

Nice trail for a walk. Should not be rated moderate as this is a flat and shaded trail. Good for families.

Most of the hike consists of walking carefully on top of rock but the destination is worth it. Good workout as well.

This is always going to be favorite “go to” trail. I love the view and the length and variety that this trail has to offer. Free convenient parking is a short walking distance from the base of the trail on either the street or at the park. It’s also a perfect trail for strollers, dogs leashed, even children. Great trail the whole family can enjoy. Watch out for little critters passing by (just like you would encounter on any nature walk). Make sure to wear a hat and bring lots of water during the summer months because there isn’t a whole lot of shade. The trail can take anywhere from 1-1.5 hours depending on if you do the entire trail or just the quick loop around. As long as you’re staying on the designated paths provided, you’re sure to enjoy a safe and fun exercise :)

Great hike, but definitely a moderate incline. Well-maintained and a few shaded areas. Great for dogs and there are a few well-spaced resting areas along the way that have trash cans. The pond is a nice touch too

Great hike the only down side is that parking is very limited especially on weekends, get there by 6!

Decent suburban trail - clean and well marked. We parked in the equestrian center lot (Ingalls Park) and made our way up from there. We huffed and puffed a bit at the beginning and end, but everyone, dogs and kids included, made it to the top. Disappointed, but not surprised by all the obscenity-laden, spray painted boulders at the top...lots of folks in the I.E. with no respect for the beauty of the unadulterated environment. Bring lots of water as there's little shade.

Perfect climb and great views. a bit too much for 11 and under. I'd rate it an easy hard hike or a hard moderate.
we did this hike on a moderately warm spring day. started at 8:30am. that was almost too late (for the entire loop).
did it in 2.25 hours with little stopping. bugs were out.

Great hike , get there early parking is limited. We parked 1/4 mile down hill. Mostly shaded hike, not much to the waterfall. The last part of hike coming back is all uphill so be prepared. Will definitely be back.

I was wrong! Just a short walk to the store and the Goats! Then on to the falls. Happy

I’m walking up and down the road. The park at 9 was Completely full. They said get here by 6 on weekend. still great!
I’ll make Thursday my hiking day

good for family. has nice views of the city.

One of my favorite hikes to take the kiddies on!

Very pretty, will go back with my kids

Easy and lovely

Easy trail, you probably won’t get wet crossing over rocks- but kids and dogs can have fun splashing. Small waterfall only 1.5 miles in. As for scenery... A+ Equally shady and sunny path. Moderate stretches are clear enough to run for a mini work out.

Great trail. Great trail
Very quiet and especially love its open sunrise to sunset

Tried to go yesterday and the trail was closed. You can walk out to a bluff above, still allowing for great photos since it's empty below so I still recommend walking out, but if you're looking to hike down, it is currently closed.

Not happy that the lake is on the opposite side of the trail which in turn gives a not so good view of the lake. Lots of traffic on two way street, with lots of cars going pretty fast... therefore I wouldn’t recommend any young impulsive children on this easy trail. Don’t want to discredit the location and beauty of being around the holly wood lake. This is just not what I was expecting. We went to franklin after which was amazing and perfect for my lil ones.

I took my seven month old daughter here for a short hike and we sadly didn’t see any waterfall, just moist rocks. (4/10/18) lots of lizards and some pretty blooming wild flowers and greenery.

I could manage climbing up and down all the rocks while front carrying my baby in a soft Baby Ktan and I had a small daypack on.

Disappointed in the graffiti. Surprising I didn’t see much trash.

We had a nice hike in sunny 75 degree weather.

It was a bit crowded near the falls due to a large group of rock climbers who set up right at the falls location. They were friendly, but still, we didn’t have much room to explore near the “falls”.

I think the drive up to the trail was exceptional, lots of places to turnout and checkout the view of Lake Elsinore.

No pass needed to park at the trailhead.

Steep. Steep. Steep. Did I say steep. I hike often but this one goes up in a zig zag a lot. I was almost half way up when I had to turn around and go back. There was very little shade. Be careful with all the dog poop.

Walking on salt flats. Feel the heat at the lowest point in North America!

Love going before the sunrise, the view is unbelievable.

$6.00 parking, there are a few parking spots as you go up the mountain. The lower you park the more of a walk you will get going up the mountain. There are many trees and big rocks that make a beautiful scenery. There is allot of shade going up. The hike up was easy for my 4 year old son. He had so much fun jumping over rocks and hanging out near the waterfall. The waterfall is quite small and not what I expected. I did expect something big. Over all it was really great.
We also saw snakes hanging out near the rocks, deers and many lizards.

Very rocky! A lot of graffiti but nonetheless beautiful waterfall
