It’s pretty fun, and the falls is worth the trip. A couple beautiful spots for photos along the way. It’s totally muddy, but so is everything!!!!

A little muddy, but ok. Beautiful foliage and loved that we did not see another person the entire hike.

This trail was very beautiful. Lots of breathtaking views and it is not a hard hike. The trail can be really muddy so bring shoes you don't mind getting dirty.

Nice paved road up to the top with excellent views!

great undergrowth and tropical forest views, not many vista views

Beautiful trail, reasonably interesting and moderately challenging (any trail I can hike in my swimsuit is not hard...). Would give it 5 but it was somewhat crowded with teens playing music loud enough you couldn’t ignore it (bah I’m old and want to hear the nature)

Great hike and beautiful views!

Amazing views! Great for all ability levels, including stroller pushing, dog walking, and baby carrying people.

I loved this hike! Definitely bring shoes that u dont care for since it will get super muddy. Bring bug spray because there are LOTS of bugs. I got bit everywhere. I’d recommend starting the hike around noon or early afternoon the latest. Make sure u dont stay there when it gets dark because it’s easy to get lost. The waterfall is nice and there’s an area you can jump from. Also, make sure you bring covers for your car and/or extra clothes so you dont get your car ruined or muddy.

It was my first ever hike. Two days ago. Still paying for it:) It was marked pretty well, and incredibly beautiful. Oh ya, and definitely don’t go after a rain. It gets pretty slippery and super muddy.

The hike to the lighthouse made for some amazing views. But the best pet was the alternative trail about half way up that led down tot the blowholes and natural pools that were at the shore line. People say it is crazy dangerous, but as long as you use common sense and take your time you shouldn’t have any problems. The water is amazing down low, and the views from the lighthouse were awesome. Easy hike to end the day with.

Fantastic views. Light showers the day we went so definitely slippery/precarious in spots. Cooled you off though! Rehydrated and rested at the second pillbox for a while to enjoy the amazing views and breezes.

Saw some parents bringing their toddlers, which definitely made me a bit anxious on their behalf.

As others have noted, the ridge does have some drop offs, can get super slippery/muddy when it rains and has ropes in spots to help you climb up. A couple of the ropes look like they’re on their last threads though so test before putting all your weight on those.

Hot, sweaty, Achilles’ tendon challenging walk if you struggle with plantar fasciitis. Gorgeous views and so worth it.

Great easy out and back paved hike. Steep but the lookout pull offs make you really not notice the climb. Great views at the end!!!

Easy paved trail with great views all the way up.

I loved this hike. The view at the top of the ridge was well worth it. BUT. This trail IS and/or can be very difficult. I had a relatively good route up and only slowed down at one part with tree roots and the many stairs toward the top, however I would definitely recommend either shoes with good traction or even hiking boots! The route going down, on the other hand, due to being tired and rain while I was going up.. was very difficult. It got significantly more muddy and slippery. I would not recommend this hike to anyone that does not have experience in hiking or someone looking for a fun hike. It can easily turn into not so fun!

My recommendations:

1. Shoes with traction or hiking boots
2. Lots of water
3. Start early! It gets hot! And it’s not a super quick hike. You’ll wanna get done before sundown.
4. Travel with a buddy! There are some dangerous spots. Always have a bud to be by your side!
5. Positive attitude (it is a bit difficult! Keep your eyes toward the sky!)

Awesome hike! Beautiful views. Worth every drip of sweat 酪

Well kept and beautiful! Parking was easy. This hike is STEEP!

Went for sunrise, was raining, dark, and muddy, but cleared right as we got to the top and saw a beautiful sunrise! Definitely worth getting so dirty, hoping to do again soon

Everyone is right. Super muddy and is a challenge to not fall because of it. Super rad hike through a very cool forest and some cool lookout spots. Wear shoes you don’t care about or water shoes. Do not wear flip flops, several people did and ended up walking barefoot.

Logs by order of Mountain Ray.

Very muddy and slippery, would advise hiking shoes as running shoes would get soaked and stuck in the mud.

Super fun hike!!! It was really muddy today and both my friends slipped and fell but I was still fun! Definitely recommend wearing shoes that your willing to ruin.

Definitely hard in some areas! We didn’t do the out and back but did the whole trail instead. Stunning views throughout.

Nice walk, great view.
i recommend it.

This was a pretty challenging hike, especially after some solid rainfall in the morning. Would definitely recommend wearing sturdy hiking shoes, as a lot of the trail is muddy and wet—as a result it is very slick. The different terrains as you make your way up in elevation is a cool part of this hike. The stairs up to the top were particularly frightening for us, however definitely worth the view. Will admit we did this one on a whim and were a little unprepared in terms of gear, water, and bug spray, but when prepared it is definitely a good one. This was our last of our trip and it sent us out with a bang!

If you want a real life jungle book hike that ends with waterfalls, rope swings, and cliff jumping then this is a MUST DO. This was the most fun I have ever had on a hike! It was a decent workout getting to the waterfall area and it felt like a little party over there with people flipping off cliffs and swinging on the ropes. BRING SWIMMING SHORTS or BATHING SUITE!

The climb out can feel steep at times but just keep churning those legs as it is doable incline up the enormous tree roots.

Great hike with some breathtaking views and a rewarding swimming hole at the very end. Bring a walking stick and definitely do not attempt if it’s rained recently!

Humid and muddy, excellent views , we did see a waterfall. Took us approximately. 2 hours. I am currently out of shape and would rate it challenging for me. The experienced hiker of the group rates it as moderate due to the slippery mud factor after the recent rains. Very lightly trafficked. We went on a Sunday and saw only 2 other hikers. I agree with other posters, park at the beach down the street.

Beautiful safe and easy walk
