Easy Washington Trails Map

Great quick and easy hike. Went on a weekday not too much traffic.

Beautiful Views, trafficked, good season opener.

It’s been snowing all week and the full hike (from beginning of Denny Creek rd) was just beautiful. The falls were half way frozen and it was great to experience. I went alone so it was nice to see a decent amount of people there.

Went on a Friday afternoon, not very crowded was a short hike to falls. Was a decent hike up the hill after the falls to the junction with the John Wayne trail. Will do more often as we cross the pass.

Not breathtaking, but it's a fun day. My five year old was tired at the end but had so much fun. We will definitely do it again.

Beautiful sunny, warm day for a beautiful hike. Tons of people and dogs. The trip was still gorgeous though. Good season opener.

Beautiful day up there! A little muddy in places but not bad at all.

Great day for family hike. Busy so we parked on the road outside parking lot. Not muddy and river views were exceptional. A little up and down to get to falls but well worth the effort. Great for kids of all ages!

Roads were closed on both sides. Ended up hiking a total of 8 gorgeous miles today. The wagon trail is not open, don't take that as a loop back as one of the signs suggests... you'll end up walking through very deep snow. TAKE ICE CLEATS! The whole main trail is compacted snow and ice. One hiker slid down the hill at the falls today but was able to get back up. The trail right at the water fall is steep and icy, be extremely cautious. GORGEOUS hike though!!!

Long drive from the Seattle area. Went in early March. The trail is 1/2-1 mile long downhill. When you get to the bottom there’s many different trails you can explore leading to different views of the caves and ocean. Trail was slightly muddy so boots would be advised unless you don’t care about getting your shoes dirty.

World class waterfall! In the middle of NOWHERE! But worth the drive from wherever you’re from.

Amazing short hike to a breathtaking waterfall. It was pouring rain when we went and it was still very enjoyable.

Love the lake, the view it’s amazing

Mediocre hike with decent views of the waterfalls. May be better in the summer when you could walk down and enjoy sitting by the river. Not bad if you’re looking for a quick, short hike.

Beautiful waterfalls views.
Some mud, I would wear hiking shoes.
My puppy had a blast.
I would suggest going on a weekday, weekends seem to be packed with lots of people.

I went March of 2017 and it was good. I didn’t hike all the way down because I had my dog but I got some amazing pictures.

very easy and well maintained. Also incredibly beautiful!

Tried to go up to the falls today but some drunk idiot got his Honda stuck on the road a mile away from the trail head! Best to bring up a AWD car or 4 wheel drive if your trying to come up soon! Otherwise I suggest to wait until spring in a couple weeks when the snow is gone! Will have to come back soon !

Steep hike but not difficult. A lot of snow at the top and too slippery for just tennis/hiking boots. Had to turn around because we didn’t have the best shoes for compact snow and ice.

Views: Crystal clear river, old trees, two waterfalls.
Difficulty: Easy the inclines are spaced out and there's plenty of flat walking areas.
Trail conditions: Beginning of March- trail was muddy in some spots overall wasn't too bad. The trail didn't have as many people as Rattlesnake or Poo Poo Point.
Overall: This was a beautiful hike! We brought our dog, and he loved it!

Great little loop trail! Everyone should visit and see Palouse Falls at least once in their lifetime. I went on Feb 27th 2018 and was able to catch sunset. It was great!

I also filmed the hike and caught some good drone footage of the film. For anyone interested it can be found on Youtube if you search “Sunset over Palouse Falls. Flying to film.”

I live by this hike and it's my favorite I do it year round. I've seen all ages do this hike

Nice and easy hike through the snow. Didn’t need snowshoes or spikes.

Great hike! It was a bit muddy today but that is to be expected this time of year. (February 27th) We didn’t go to the very end but we made it up to the second fall lookout. Little to no snow on the ground. The trail is well maintained with a handful of sections of log stairs. The falls were incredible!

The drive from Port Angeles was very long. The beautiful weather when we left wasn't nearly as beautiful when we got there. The hike was short and sweet. Not too difficult. the views were amazing. We can say that we have seen them but not sure I'd do it again.

Absolutely stunning. Easy trail, with a charming wood plank trail to look outs around the cape. The most beautiful place to watch the sunset.

Hiked from Exit 47 at road closure. 7 miles RT. Approximately 5 miles of it is walking on the closed road that runs beside I90. Road was compact snow with some deep snow areas but there was an area worn down in the deeper snow areas. I wore microspikes and would recommend them. It was a beautiful day and I was pleasantly surprised to have the falls to myself. The falls are not completely frozen but the surrounded by beautiful ice.
