Easy or Moderate 3 to 5 miles Map

Love this trail. Went with my wife and 4 year old daughter last week and hiked all the way to the Seventh Bridge! We are not in any sort of shape and took frequent breaks along the way. Beautiful views and terrain. Lots of streams and birds. Luckily, there were plenty of locals to keep us on track, as the trail is not marked.

Directions: Go all the way up the mountain, then park in the dirt parking area. Should be plenty of cars parked there. Trail will be dirt with a gate in front of it. Walk the trail about a 1/2 mile, take a right when the trail forks, then continue to follow trail 622. (If you go left at the fork, you will end up at St. Mary’s Falls.) The trail does keep going after the Seventh Bridge (I was told you could climb all the way up to Pikes Peak) but we stopped there and began the hike back to the car.

Not dog friendly. Plague found here in prairie dogs. Didn’t walk trail, went to Stratton instead.

Fun. Parking is tight. Though one can park at two other trail heads.

Nice easy hike

My husband and I took 3 babies and our 5 year old today. It was beautiful but much harder of a climb than we expected carrying one baby in a pack and pushing the other 2 babies in a double bob stroller while the 5yo walked. Water still 99% frozen but beautiful still!

Very beautiful. Easy terrain. Limited parking.

Beautiful views, great workout. Took Blackmer Loop to Cougars Shadow, back to the loop. Definitely mountain lion territory! As of today (3/3/18) there were still some slick muddy areas, but nothing a little bushwacking along the trail couldn't avoid.

I just wish the trails were marked.

Parked and hiked a bit, walked back and drove to the next parking spot. Hiked a bit again. Gorgeous, paved trails.

Great fun, lots of small trails, different ways to get to the top. While high above the starting point, sitting and dangling my feet off the pulpit wasn't scary, even though I don't normally like heights. The trails could be posted better. You can see the pulpit from almost anywhere in the park.

This is always our first stop when we are in town. Great easy hike.

We took the downhill section of the Chutes after tackling Columbine and a few others. Very nice trail section.

Beautiful trial along the creek side. The end gets a bit more difficult with rock scrambling but worth it! Trail was pretty iced over but still passable. Very enjoyable with the dogs!

One of the best local hikes in the springs! Good little workout at the end for the final summit push. Excellent views over North Cheyenne Canon.

Combination of paved and gravel trails surrounding and through the park and gorgeous rock formations. Not terribly crowded on a chilly February morning, but the views would be worth a visit even in the busier summer months.

No signage to this trail. Totally missed where it started and went up to St. Mary's falls instead. Still a great hike but man, why don't these parks make it clear where the trail heads are??

fun hike.. beautiful scenery ,great hike with my dog!

Beautiful area especially seeing it right after the recent snow fall Wednesday 02-21-18.. Little easy for my taste as it left me wanting more but still loved its beauty. Snow packed did not feel the need to put microspikes on but slippery in places.

Such a fun hike, and my dog loves it as much as I do. The creek and bridges make it more interesting. It is beautiful and not too difficult.

Nice hike. Mount Cutler was easy so we came back to try Mount Muscoco. We had some snow recently so it made for a challenging climb and slide coming down. Breathtaking view from the top. Near the top became harder and keep an eye on not wandering off the trail.

Hiked on 2/17/18. Open spots on the trail were dry, shaded spots were snowy. Icy near the stream and a couple of places along the trail. Crampons/micros recommended but not absolutely needed. Beautiful trail with amazing views!

Not much scenery but nice and easy for a quick run or dog walk. Left the gps on for most of the trail since it wasn't marked well.

I usually run 2 miles in then turn around and head back the way I came. the loop is a bit too much for me now. It gets very steep towards that two mile mark. The views are amazing! I usually see one or two people. Most of the trail was clear and dry except for a very short section on the back side of the hill. This trail is really good for those looking to increase muscle and stamina. Road running will be a breeze after training here for a couple weeks!

2.14.18 - Super windy! so far, this was my favorite trail out of all that I've done! However, if you follow this loop to the T, I feel it is more on the moderate side of easy, and not just to climb Pulpit Rock. It may not have massive elevation gains, but the trails are narrow, rocky, and trenched. Looks like a ton of fun for mountain bikers!!

I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 because there are (what feels like) 300 different and unmarked trails that intersect and converge over one another. I accidentally went off the indicated trail loop twice and only finished by having my All Trails gps map in my hand at all times... takes away from the enjoyment. That being said, this loop gives you a little of everything: Creeks, canyons, bluffs, rock climbing, open prairie, etc. Would definitely do this one again, even with all the issues. Beautiful!!

family friendly and offers great views of Colorado Springs.

great trail for beginners or families. branches off into other trails after the bridges.

awesome trail

Hiked on 12/20. Amazing hike up North Cheyenne Canon with a few friends and dogs. Moderate hike. The numerous stream crossings were really cool. Skirted up the side of Keneo after the last bridge for a fantastic view out over the canyon. Thought about continuing up Mt. Keneo proper, but the altitude was starting to get to this Jersey boy

Great downhill section. The last 1/3rd of the loop is shut down, but there’s an alternate route that is a little longer.
