The trail was very easy to find based on the directions on AllTrails. trail conditions were fantastic no snow on the trail just a little bit of wetness. there was snow around the sides of the trail but nothing that impeded the climb up. The waterfall was flowing nicely and it was a wonderful afternoon hike!

I misread this as .9 one way, so it was disappointingly short and we opted to hop down the BoSho to get some miles. However, if you have small kids or otherwise need a very short (ten minute) hike to a waterfall where they can play, this is great. Dry trail today.

fun easy hike the kids loved it. lots of boulders to climb and explore.

trail running

Did 4 miles on the system last night! Made a comment to my partner we could run here multiple times and run a different trail every time! FUN and beautiful views. Lot's of unleashed dogs and mtn bikers!

I went in the morning for a nice short hike. It had beautiful views of Draper, the mountains and a nice waterfall you can walk right up to. No snow on this trail as of 2 days ago.

Easy trail, get spot to take photos at the falls

Beautiful trails and views! I love the many options to choose from.

I pulled into the Tanner Park lot right as a woman discovered her car window had been smashed and a backpack taken. It was a stark reminder that this place is in the middle of the city. I was nervous to leave my car there, but I made sure it was obvious I didn't have anything of value in it and took to the trail.

Despite that dubious introduction, I love this park. There are several trail options so you can decide whether you want long or short, paved or dirt, shaded or exposed. It is close to I-80, so there is constant road noise. There are also many, many unleashed dogs. I was greeted by several, so if you don't like dogs, maybe steer clear. Despite the amount of dogs I encountered, I didn't notice many piles of excrement left on or near the trails, so most people do their duty. There are signs of homeless living, but again, it is a park in the middle of the city, so what can you expect?

Great views across The Valley. Well used and maintained trails. Good for trail running accessibility.
Lots of dogs around the red butte area.

Pretty day with intermittent snow fall. The trail is a little close to the road in the beginning. It still has icy and snow covered portions starting about 1/2 up. Keep an eye and ear out for downhill cyclists. With the deep melting snow, there isn’t much room to move if you get caught in an icy portion when they need to pass.

Hiked this trail with my two kids last week, my five year old did great. this Trailhead is a little bit steeper than the Granite trail head that also leads to Bell Canyon reservoir but it was still a nice Trail. The reservoir water line is still low as of last Sunday; leaving the lower Creek bed dry, but this means you can easily hike around the reservoir without getting your feet wet. It is also not stocked for fishing yet from what I heard from other hikers.

very nice view, love how you can climb right up to the water fall. easy but fun

Very easy short jaunt with lots to explore. Follow the river - check our our vlog of our experience: https://youtu.be/87H0n_bKshU

Nice short little trail. No snow or ice on the trail as off two days ago. Well worth the trip.

Love this hike! First one for me this season, while wearing the new baby and it was the perfect intro. The snow is now
gone and my kids loved exploring in the water.

Geocaches: bucket
April-Jun

Not a very steep hike! The ruins can only be seen from across a stream, but they were still cool to see. I just wish the trail wasn't next to the road almost the whole way, it somewhat takes away from a true nature experience.

Steep first .4 miles. Fairly nice walk around the lake. Some snow on north facing trials. Overall a very pleasant hike.

There's a lot of snow still there and it gets slippery coming back down. But I personally didn't mind. It made more for the adventure!

Great space for running. Ample room to allow passerby’s. Muddy in the shade, but enjoyable!

Really quick hike. Starts through a neighborhood then works up to some stairs and a short climb. Right now you definitely need books if not spikes as there are some iced out steep runs. Good payoff for such a short, accessible spot.

Starts off going through a neighborhood. Went yesterday and it’s still covered in snow and slippery. The hike seemed very short though due to the rapid change of scenery. Kids lived it. Toddler did struggle with snow though.

Very steep. Went a few days ago and is currently covered in snow and some ice. This hike is basically you climbing the entire time until you reach the lake and then climbing back down. Would not recommend toddlers due to steep stairs and ice. The lake was semi frozen but still beautiful. Gave my thighs a workout for sure.

I'm sure it's great when there is no snow. There is currently tons of slippery ice and snow! We did it but it was sketchy!

We actually had a really fun time walking this urban trail. Yes, we threw snowballs at each other along the way—and it was almost 60 degrees outside! Once out of the businesses, the trail continues to follow the creek through a quiet residential area to this cool, old stone mill. The kids loved the place, and it’s always good to have an actual arrival point with kids. Fun 2 miles on a pretty Springlike day!

This is the steeper but shorter trailhead. It’s less popular so I have found it easier to get parking.

I would not climb up the falls. That causes a large portion of the salt lake search and rescue calls... just look at it from the bottom. It’s still cool.

Nice and easy for the whole family. Not much water flowing and a bit of ice on the creek. The trail is clear but watch your footing on the way back down.

Just went on this hike. It was good. Short. Beautiful icicles and running water. Wear good shoes that can cut the snow my buddy wore tennis shoes and slid around, I wore water proof hiking boots and walked like a pro.
