Well laid out trail with some loose rocks in spots so watch those ankles! Great payoff with a pool of water (it rained a little recently) below a group of rocks with Hohokam petroglyphs. Shamefully some recent graffiti added near the site.

This is primarily a bike park. BMX and some light mountain bike training. A great area to teach new riders the basics of trail and off road riding. The trail that circles the park is called the Rolly Polly. I use it to help train new riders on off road riding as it has a good mix of light climbs, descents, and rock terrain for them to practice the basics before hitting a “real AZ mtb trail”.

Fairly easy hike. Can get slippery at the end but beautiful.. Best in Jan/Feb after a good rain

Ild call this moderate for sure. It’s lots of loose rock, sorta steel, and a bit of both at the end. With the effort though!

Super short hike but amazing views and the kids love it.

Nice, relatively level, hike. We brought our Husky Sequoia. She is 10 years old and did just fine. Trail has arrow markers to follow. We had to look at the map in this app a couple of times though. Saw no horses, cattle, or other wildlife. Parking was easy in large lot. You have to purchase a pass for your dashboard onsite. There are toilets but NO running water. Saw hardly any people which is great!

great easy hike with lots of trees and things to do for kids. Clean area and bathroom.

Absolutely beautiful views! I love the twists and turns in the trail. It’s a pretty easy hike with barely any incline. Good for the whole family. Probably my favorite hike in this area!

Awesome. Loved the steps and the views of the city.

Nice hike. Gradual climb so not strenuous but kinda challenging for my parents (in their 70’s) due to the rocky path. Very cool drawings on rock face and lots of boulders that the kids love to climb. Some water in the pools but it wasn’t flowing.

Great trail for beginners with a nice view of the Usery, Goldfield & Superstition Mountains.

There’s no water on this trail unless you go off trail and sneak down to the river or go to the river before you start the trail. Really pretty though. Perfect for my 5 and 7 year old

Did this trail for the first time a little less than 2 weeks ago or so. Great trail for kids - the end part with the petroglyphs and rocky climbing area...our 3 kiddos LOVED it. Looking forward to going back again, and this time packing a picnic and spending the whole day there!

My go-to for a easy/moderate hike in the southeast valley. Parking lot is small and gets full early and quickly in the summer. Required day use fee (self pay with envelopes at the trailhead); check Maricopa County Parks for current fee. Two port-a-potty in the lot. Some parking areas along the main entrance road, but you will be ticketed for parking in a No Parking area. Well used multi-use single track trail with a fair mix of mountain bikers and pedestrians. Although the trails are open to equestrian I haven't seen any on this trail during my visits. I routinely take my dog and see others with theirs.

Short easy climb up to lots of petroglyphs! Great for kids!

Okay let be honest... I thought this was gonna be some lame hike because it didn’t have the allure of a great climb and amazing views. Although I’d consider it more of a leisurely stroll we were able to tip toe down to the river bed and see 8 wild horses and later on the trail saw 4 of the Salt River cows/steers! What I thought was gonna be lame ended up being an amazing and relaxing morning in nature with great views of Red Mntn.

Great for a hike with kids or for a quick last minute evening hike. The trial is always in good shape.

This trail would be even better when the water is flowing. The petroglyphs were super neat!

Great trail for a mellow outing. Took my 3 kids ranging from 6 to 15 and no issues at all. Trail is pretty well marked with pickets up till the back end where we lost the trail for a moment and used the AllTrails map to find our way back on the trail. Great varied landscape with stretches of mesquite and cottonwood trees. We went late morning and found plenty of shade on the first half of the hike none on the last half. We will use this trail often from now on. Tonto pass required purchase before you leave town for $8.00 or there for $12.00.

I went about 11/04/2018. It was an easy trail for me. There were some boulders to crawl over at the very end. But it was still easy enough to do. You just have to be careful and wear appropriate shoes. Beautiful views going up and down.

Super short and easy. Kids loved it

Went during the second week of November. Can’t wait to hike it again in the summer to see the waterfall in all its glory.

Super easy trail. On my way out to the petroglyphs, there was a large snake spotted, so be sure you keep your eyes peeled. There were a lot of people at the end, but the petroglyphs were very cool!
