This is a dog park—there are dog feces everywhere, dogs are off leash and the trail smells like urine. We were visiting from out of town and we were unfortunate enough to stop here to stretch our legs. There is an electric transformer station in the middle of the park and you can see and hear the highway throughout the trail.

This is basically the Memory Grove Trail. Back in June of last year, I ran to memory Grove Trail and it was OK, I gave it three stars. I am giving this one to start because city park is nothing until it gets to memory Grove Park. Memory Grove Trail is a nice trail with a lot of honors to the military. It has a gradual increase of elevation for the 1st mile and a half. Half the trail was closed because there was a lot of snow so I turned back the way I came.

Lots of options and outlets, did in late fall and it was great. Will do again in spring also great for trail running

I have enjoyed this trail for over 20 years during every season. Easy and perfect for bike, run, walk and the fam.

This is a great trail for a Sunday walk. I love to add it to any of my runs too.

Nice area. Lots of other trails. I Would like or come back in the spring

Easy, short, loop with plenty of brush and trees for the dogs to sniff. Very busy so the pups will have plenty of friends to play with. Dog waste stations throughout.

Good, short hike with nice views of the lake and surrounding communities. I appreciated the signage along the trail to help me decide if I wanted to extend the loop by checking out one of the spur trails.

pretty little park and very easy walk. either paved or a trail. short and takes less than an hour. most people use this as a dog park

Definitely a favorite for my pup. She loves to swim at the pond/lake area at the end. One of my favorite places to explore!

My dogs love being off leash here!

My husband and I and Scout dog completed this hike on October 13.

The trailhead is easy to find, but I with the trail was better marked because there are some places to turn off. We used to app to double-check where we were several times.

The trail was pleasant, part pavement part dirt, with some undulating hills. Part of the trail is an off-leash dog area, and we enjoyed seeing all the doggos enjoying their Saturday morning. There's also a stream for them to play in.

Another warning.... THERE IS POISON OAK ON THIS TRAIL. My husband and I took a little detour to check out an old bridge. On this side trail, I also peed, and chose the *WRONG* leaves to wipe with. Multiple sleepless nights and trips to urgent care later... I am writing this as a warning so nobody makes the same dumb mistake I did!

This is an easy and fun family trail. We hiked from the park at the top of Sky Lark Lane to the lookout point and back. This part of the trail was shaded almost the whole way, and the fall colors were beautiful. my kids also enjoyed playing at the park when we were done.

Nice easy trail in north Salt Lake City with dog off-leash. Met by a stray golden retriever. Hot day. Beautiful views of the city and great Salt Lake. Had to contend with a few mountain bikers on trails that criss-crossed the hiking trail making it a bit hectic for the free running dogs.

I brought my family from out of town on this hike and it was sooooo beautiful. There’s a dirt trail next to a paved one so you have options. 10/10 recommend the dirt trail. Just some challenging parts for the little ones but definitely do-able.

Very easy hike, good for all ages.

Nice trail that was great for my dog. Has some great overlooks for views. Some parts are very narrow so make sure you are aware with the bikers using the trail. Leaves are turning very pretty up here.

Such a nice easy hike! Great if you have dogs :)

First of all, this is a walk not a hike. Second of all, if I could give a trail negative stars, this would be the one.

The road that leads to it has two lanes separated by a double yellow line legally indicating two way traffic and there is no signage near the trailhead indicating otherwise. But the road is used as a ONE WAY. It’s a total death trap for drivers, walkers, bikers...

Classic SLC Trail ! In many ways, this trail opened many other adventures for me ! Great trail for beginners, kids and offers the opportunity get to see other locals

Pretty views of the canyon. Decent amount of other people on the trail on a Saturday morning. Walked about 3 miles up and ran the way out. Good trail if you want something nice and easy to get used to trail running on.

We took our two young children in a stroller (the whole trail is paved) on this walk and they really enjoyed it. There was alot for them to see including fruit trees, some of the animals from lagoon, and a large bridge. The trail is well maintained including trash cans and picnic tables along the way.

Decent path. Not exactly a trail, I wanted to run but it became more of a light jog/ Walk. I brought my dog though and she loved it! There were so many dogs on the path just hanging out with their owners. Great area to take your dog on a walk and or take a walk with someone.

Easy morning hike. Half the trail is an off leash dog area that is unpaved and the other half is paved for walking and bikes.

I partially did this loop and ended up walking along a creek. It was lovely and shady.

Didn't know where to park because I couldn't quite find the beginning. Parked in a cul de sac and walked for a bit. Animals and pavement were nice for a walk but not a hiking trail at all.
