Trail is easy, it is very beautiful and has amazing views.

this was a pretty easy trail. there are a few parts that are tougher, and will get your heart rate up, but they're are also plenty of areas where it feels like your just taking a stroll. I would put this at the moderate end of easy. there are pretty views of the superstitions too.

Nice easy hike

Wonderful hike! The views from the peak are nice and you get a 360 view of the surrounding area. The way down does have a lot of loose rocks but as long as you are careful you will be okay! The parking lot is small so If you see cars in the overflow on the right just park there and it's a short walk to the trailhead.

My husband and I took our puppies up here and it was awesome! We all really enjoyed the hike. There wasn’t too many people which made it very nice =)

Beautiful display of geology happenings 500,000years ago. Read information as you go and get some geology that will make you want to know more. Happy trail.

Enjoyable hike. Quiet, moderate to easy hike. The views throughout are wonderful.

Great Hike with GTAH, AZ! Easy/Moderate with spectacular views! Bathroom on site! Need to purchase pass at Gas Stations, $8.00

A nice trail with some good incline at the midpoint of the loop. Decent amount of people but not to the point of crowded.

I enjoyed this with my 6 year old. Sun was pretty brutal mid day, for being December, and very little shade. Not too busy and beautiful views from the top. Moderate is a good rating for this trail.

Great little trail and not very crowded. Pretty views at the top. Trail is a little rocky and narrow on the ascent to the peak, but nothing overly daunting.

Gorgeous views on the east side of the mountain. Never very crowded. Easy place to hike where there are people, but you can still feel like you are by yourself. A lot of small trails to run around on, and nothing overly strenuous.

Nice trail but a bit rocky. Had to take it slow on the way down. Today was kind of hazy, so the views weren't as great as I had hoped. My app said it was over 5 miles.

Nice, relatively level, hike. We brought our Husky Sequoia. She is 10 years old and did just fine. Trail has arrow markers to follow. We had to look at the map in this app a couple of times though. Saw no horses, cattle, or other wildlife. Parking was easy in large lot. You have to purchase a pass for your dashboard onsite. There are toilets but NO running water. Saw hardly any people which is great!

Very similar to Tumamoc in Tucson. Great quick hike, mostly paved. Steep but doable In and out to towers in apx 1 hour.

Absolutely beautiful views! I love the twists and turns in the trail. It’s a pretty easy hike with barely any incline. Good for the whole family. Probably my favorite hike in this area!

Great trails a little rocky, so watch your step. Overall a nice hike with plenty of mountain views.

Cactus galore. My poor pups and I were attacked by jumping cactus and stepped on probably 5. I turned around halfway.

Nice quick jaunt up and back. Trail maps provided at the trailhead, but trail was easy enough to follow.

Perfect morning for magnificent views. Not a thing I can complain about on this hike. Trails are in good shape. There are a few rocky spots but nothing too bad. watch for a few spots where the desert has grown into to trail a bit and have a great time.

There’s no water on this trail unless you go off trail and sneak down to the river or go to the river before you start the trail. Really pretty though. Perfect for my 5 and 7 year old

Fantastic hike! The top of the peak offers a 360 degree view of the valley and it’s stunning.

My go-to for a easy/moderate hike in the southeast valley. Parking lot is small and gets full early and quickly in the summer. Required day use fee (self pay with envelopes at the trailhead); check Maricopa County Parks for current fee. Two port-a-potty in the lot. Some parking areas along the main entrance road, but you will be ticketed for parking in a No Parking area. Well used multi-use single track trail with a fair mix of mountain bikers and pedestrians. Although the trails are open to equestrian I haven't seen any on this trail during my visits. I routinely take my dog and see others with theirs.

Okay let be honest... I thought this was gonna be some lame hike because it didn’t have the allure of a great climb and amazing views. Although I’d consider it more of a leisurely stroll we were able to tip toe down to the river bed and see 8 wild horses and later on the trail saw 4 of the Salt River cows/steers! What I thought was gonna be lame ended up being an amazing and relaxing morning in nature with great views of Red Mntn.

Great for a hike with kids or for a quick last minute evening hike. The trial is always in good shape.

Great trail for a mellow outing. Took my 3 kids ranging from 6 to 15 and no issues at all. Trail is pretty well marked with pickets up till the back end where we lost the trail for a moment and used the AllTrails map to find our way back on the trail. Great varied landscape with stretches of mesquite and cottonwood trees. We went late morning and found plenty of shade on the first half of the hike none on the last half. We will use this trail often from now on. Tonto pass required purchase before you leave town for $8.00 or there for $12.00.

A decent workout for such a short hike. I’d have to call it a moderate hike, as we took Huff and Puff to the top.

A great hike for the family visiting from Chicago.

Excellent adventure for our little kids. We saw wild horses! Up close! (And bathrooms nearby.)
