Beautiful trail, easy hike. I went when in early April and it was very muddy and slippery in spots. lots of wildlife, eagles especially! We saw mom and 3 juvinile eagles learning to hunt! it was beautiful!

Beautiful from start to finish... trail were free of snow to Green Lake..
great hike for all ages with lots of river views,,

After you drive to the end of the lake and see a great bridge to your left you will see the road has washed out and you need to park. Don’t block the bridge, cars drive across because there are two more trailheads on that side. You hike about a mile on the road to get to the original trailhead and camp grounds. It was actually really pretty, right along the river the whole time. Also just seeing what we couldn’t access any more was interesting, there are decent size buildings that people can only hike in to get. Just crazy. The trail itself was amazing and exactly what I picture as PNW hiking. You are along the river the full time, you can easily get views of white water and mini waterfalls. I turned around and did a Down and back from the bridge. The bridge would of made the whole hike worth it but thankfully the scenery did not disappoint. I saw a few people hiking out with overnight packs so I think that would be fun. I would say an easy hike and worth walking on the road for. To get over the washed out road though they have cut a log at the top of the slide that’s easy to walk across both ways. There are no bathrooms at the TH, those too were washed out in the slide.

Great hike! Not too bad of an elevation change throughout and the river was really flowing! Toward the end of it, it was a bit burned and trail wasn’t very well maintained so we didn’t get all the way to the end.

Enjoyed this trail and the beach at the end.

This trail is very well-maintained. I went on a sunny but chilly Saturday morning and there were very few people on the trail. I ran and walked and it took about 2 hours to make a big loop.

easy, little muddy today

Beautiful hidden hike. Took longer than I thought to get to the trailhead but was totally worth it! Good hike if you’re headed to the beach

This trail is another awesome hidden gem. The trail itself is fairly easy to moderate at points, as it had some downed trees and bush across the path. I hiked the weekend of the windstorm in April 2018. The suspension bridge was great, I was expecting more movement, but it only had slight bobbing with only me on it. Very sturdy and well built, with a perfect view of the gorge and falls below. Keep going down the trail after crossing, as it switches back down towards the falls for a front row view. Very powerful, and pools were filled and raging at this time of year. Hike back is all up hill, but not bad at all. I had the place to myself early, but passed many people coming down on my way back up.

More of an easy trail out the water. Very peaceful walk but can be pretty busy depending when you go - the walk out to the water is mostly downhill but going back to your car is a slight incline. Otherwise this is my favorite hike!

Beautiful trail with a stunning view of the Sound. Pretty easy hike.

This was a great, fun hike! there was lots of snow just added to the adventure! can't wait to hike again this summer.

Great trail. Kid and dog friendly. Pretty easy hike with great views.

My kids loved it, my husband and I loved it, it was beautiful!

Easy out and back trail. Was surprisingly busy for a middle of the week... was spring break for some, just not Oregon. Good views. Well maintained.

Nice hike. Kids liked the falls. Good workout. Really far out while driving. You think maybe you've missed it. Keep going. Worth the drive.

Easy hike. Definitely worth seeing the bridge and falls. Plan to do again soon.

SUPER easy hike! Got there faster than I was expecting and even got to stand at the base of the falls! Definitely one I’ll be revisiting soon!

Beautiful hike and stunning waterfall.

Amazing place absolutely love it!

Very fun short hike w great views! We missed the North loop which would have made it a bit longer. But crowded on a Sunny weekend and hard to find a parking space. There is a nice side trip- a covered bridge on bear creek road if u go that way instead of taking 101.

We were the only people at the bottom. Complete solitude and serenity with amazing views of the mountain. Logs from the blast still float along the edges of Spirit Lake. While the hike is steep its only a mile down and a mile up. Take down some lunch and enjoy the beauty.

This was a quick and easy walk. Hardly any one else out on the trail so it was nice and peaceful.

The beach was beautiful. I saw a Heron, a Golden Eagle, and a Bald Eagle all within an hour. Saw the sun set too. The trail was easy to navigate and access to the beach area is clear. Well worth my evening. Headed to the Dash Point Pier next. I recommend both for an easy and enjoyable evening.

Great hike.... cable suspension bridge and view of fall were awesome

This was a great trail and I really enjoyed my walk/hike today on it! It’s is mostly unpaved with a paved section that follows downsize a running creek. The day was beautiful, but with the trail sort of going down, what I would call a crevasse between to higher sections filled with trees, it stayed a little chilly. It was totally worth the hike down and the beautiful sound waterfront end was a magnificent reward! It was lightly traveled today and I pretty much had the long stretch of beach to myself and my dog. I would say this more an easy trail and believe the intermediate rating is because your hike going back is all uphill. I would consider it a little strenuous for an older out of shape person but it is definitely easily doable and gives you that accomplished feeling. My tracker showed my walk at 3.10 miles from start to end. Trail starts at a weird location next to the building on the left.
