Great trail. My dog had an amazing time

Nice, easy, short trail. Lots of interesting trees and a cool bridge. Be sure to take the short detour to see Big Cedar Tree. It’s no longer standing but still awesome. Don’t forget to climb in the roots for a cool pic!

great trail! beautiful views at the lakes and definitely will be a repeat for us

Great hike for my puppy and me, great view too!

Nice little hike, water is a clear blue, pretty area

very nice and relaxing walk, beautiful beach great first dogs that like to swim!

Enjoyed hiking and exploring the John Wayne Trail and Snoqualmie Tunnel..Lots of history!! Make sure you bring your headlamps. Discovery Pass required, parking and restrooms before trailhead.

The very beginning 15 minuets where the toughest as we were also carrying heavy overnight backpacks. But the rest of the trail was very easy and beautiful.

It was breathtaking.

Great, easy hike. Lake is absolutely beautiful, could spend the whole day there. Took German Shepherd and wasn’t quite enough to tire him out.

Drive out on one lane road was tricky. But well worth it. Trail was easy. Nice waterfall.

Nice hike that loops around the river. Cool bridge everyone takes pictures on. Worth the hike for a nice outdoor walk.

Super easy and short looped hike with options to keep going. Beautiful moss covered trees and crystal clear water!

Fairly easy hike. Beautiful views! Had lunch at sheep lake and waded out in the water. Not much shade do bring sunscreen. No bitting bugs.

Beautiful view, went to this hike during Labor Day weekend and there were 4 tents camping there. Get there early, our way back to the parking lot was busy and the road can be challenging.

Great trail for all ages, shapes, and sizes. Great signage and mile markers. Scenery is calming. Destination on the bay worth the short walk.

Easy walk, beautiful lake.

We were driving back from the Gorge on Labor Day weekend. We wanted to take advantage of the holiday and do a "less strenuous" hike as we had a long weekend. This was perfect. The views are unbelievable and you get a wide variety of forest, mountains, lakes, huckleberry patches, and wildlife. Other hikers were able to spot a bear. The path was fairly easy going and there was not any need for advanced hiking equipment. The elevation was roughly 600 feet through the loop. We hiked with another couple and took the clockwise approach which yielded stunning views of Dewey Lake and Mount Ranier. Next time we will try the counter-clockwise route. Be sure to check out Wapiti Wollie on the way out...

beautiful trail! it was labor day weekend so very heavily trafficked. Rocks in trail and somewhat uneven but there were several young families and some much older hikers on it having a blast.

This is a relatively easy trail. The terrain is a little rougher than I expected just in terms of rocks and roots but nothing terrible. I was developing a nasty cold on the way up so I think that may have been why it seemed a bit harder.... the lake at the end is really beautiful and peaceful. No biting bugs. The trail around the lake is nice and there were quite a few people camping up there. My dogs enjoyed it as well.

Super easy hike to an absolutely gorgeous view!

Easy and great hike. There is roughly 2 miles of gravel so be careful when driving down the road. Easy to find trailhead and not very crowded for Labor Day. Views in every direction along the way.

My favorite place in the Olympics. I've hiked this trail plenty of times at every season. To me is the perfect show case of the Olympics for family and friends to see. Easy and scenic . I've taken all sorts of people through the loop. On a warm day, you can jump off the rocks. The water is cold but crystal clear. Make sure to take the little detours to appreciate it's beauty!

Easy hike with great old growth forest. Hiked in reverse and enjoyed the best canyon view at the end of the hike.

Fun hike for the family today. Garmin watch clocked hike at 10.38 miles and we did hike in 5 hrs 3 min. Minimal mosquitoes near the lake but otherwise nice hike. Trail is dry and in good condition. No snow. Trailhead parking lot was very full but it was Labor Day weekend.

I loved this trail. Easy and beautiful!
