This trail map is completely different than the trail we walked, which was blazed red. The trail we walked was also about 4.25 miles instead of 2.9. This is why I gave it such a low rating. It was beautiful, but the trail map is completely wrong on the AllTrails site.

It’s basically an old golf cart path. Runs through a residential green belt and never really ends, just sort of morphs into an actual golf cart path, lol. Partially paved.

Nice short, easy walk. The trail is well maintained.
Plenty of picnic tables if you want to bring a lunch to eat. Part of the trail is paved, some crushed rock and a small portion that is just dirt. When it has rained the dirt can be a little muddy but you can easily avoid the mud. It is a short loop but still worth seeing if you are in the area. The trail starts just to the right of the building if you are facing it.

Stopped at the monument to take a break from the roadtrip. The site is well kept and worth a visit.
The trail begins as paved surface and boardwalk that is accessible. The small loop around the pond is natural and was soft in a couple spots however the mud could easily be avoided. From the cabin past the cemetery and back to the visitor center, the trail is just gravel. Easy walking throughout the whole loop.

Nice hike through the woods and the other half is paved. I enjoyed the beauty of fall all around

It was great weather for a hike on the red trail but it wasn't marked very clearly. We ended up almost walking the entire trail twice because we ended up turned around. I wish there were maps that were available. Warm enough to see some snakes and what little water that was in the creek was really clear! I'll definitely be back now that I know the way better.

Nice hike! There are three different options on the east side of the trail, are Silver and Yellow. Red was just the right length for a few hour hike and not very difficult! Very beautiful! Can’t wait to try the Yellow trail and maybe even come back to camp!

As a family, we hiked this trail during our visit to the monument. It was a nice trail, well maintained and very easy to complete. We did wonder how beautiful it would be in October instead of early September. The color changes of the fall season would be beautiful to see here.

great trail however it needs to be marked clearer. we got to a point that wasn't marked and didn't know which way to go. we picked wrong and ended up where we started but that just meant more miles bc we ended up at 4.5 miles! will definitely come back!

Great easy loop. Must cross the river near the end.

one of my favorite places close to Nixa. Dogs love to splash in the creek after a short hike. I always go left at the bottom of the hill to the trails on that end, as to avoid hiking close to the gun range because my dogs get spooked..

Great place to hike and have kids and dogs swim in the crystal clear water.

Love this conservation Area! Beautiful views, lots of wild flowers, and tons of trails. Trails were mowed and easy to follow.

I’m partial to this trail as I live about 6 miles from it. It’s mostly flat and is well kept. Great for jogging, walking or biking.

Trail was great for hiking giving nice views from the ridge line. Gave some good elevation change if you’re wanting to push yourself. The shooting range, located at the entrance to the trailhead, was a bit jarring and not so serene. Since it was a loop, we knew we were almost done with the trail when we heard the sounds of war.

hiked this trail for the first time several weeks ago, loved it, it was a great trail to use to get back into hiking, not really sure which paths we ended up doing but put in almost 6 miles

This is a well marked trail that is about 1/4 paved. It travels through a wooded area before running by the lake. The part of the trail by the lake is paved. There are some very nice views of the lake and the power plant across the lake along the paved part of the trail. Parts of the trail were under water due to recent rains. As expected by being in the city, it was a busy trail.

Trail is not well maintained. We came across a lot of bugs in the grass because it was not cut down. The trail is also not well marked. We were not sure at first if we found the correct starting location or not.

Very nice trail, although heavily populated in areas. Be aware if you take this trail, there are multiple runners, walkers, and bikers that use this along with families.

It was clean but a little boring just walking. I walked about an hour into the trail then turned around and went back. This would be fun if you went biking with friends.

We love to take our pups out here and let them play in the creeks! It’s never been too crowded, moderately easy trail!

What we saw was nice but only had about 30 minutes. Found an old cemetery at the top of a hill. Pretty spring flowers, butterflies and the first bumblebee of the season.

nice place.

Going during the week in early springtime was great, as we only met three other groups of hikers. Taking yellow trail meant one low-water crossing of creek but a deeper spot coming back across. There was also a pretty steep incline at the mid-way point, like other hikers here have mentioned. This trail includes a great combination of wooded areas and fields that make for some beautiful scenery along the way.

So so fun! Several creek crossings that I wouldn’t recommend for small dogs or children if there’s been a lot of rain but the views were amazing. So many pretty waterfalls

Great spring hike!

Lots of ground to cover and wildlife to see! Sights were nonexistent except for the pretty pond in the beginning. I loved all the loops and places to go.

Great little 1 mike trail that is very well maintained. Educational and great views of the little creek that runs the property. This is a good one for kids or those who may have difficulty with elevation gains or uneven terrain.

A great trail for the family
