Really beautiful spot, great view
Wanted to do
The loop but couldn't find the red trail from the top
So next time we will start on the red trail

Good hike with pretty steep slopes. Just 1.8 miles one way which makes it not so strenuous.
Beautiful trail through the woods.

My husband, son and I hiked this trail up and back in 1.5 hours. Took the short trail up and long trail back. Small summit, but still beautiful. Our almost 5 year old had no issues at all navigating the climb. We avoided the crowds by starting out around 4PM on a Saturday. Nice hike overall. Enjoyed the quiet and views of the trail throughout.

Great trail for a family!

This hike is much steeper and rockier than described, toward the top especially. Not recommended for small kids, small dogs or people who aren't in decent shape. Overall it was a good hike, nice overlook.

this trail is NOT dog friendly. it begins in a state park. I don't know who writes your reviews, but accurate information doesn't seem to be a priority with you.

great relaxing hike.

What a lovely trail! Easily accessible, not difficult. Definitely muddy in some spots, but nothing too much. The falls are wonderful, with lots of space at the top (although no one was there when I visited). Markers are easy to see and maps are available at the kiosk prior to entering the trail.

It was a very long hike that let to the valley top on the opposite side of the falls. I was hoping more to be up close to the falls.

Definitely not an easy trail for some, but my 8 year old made it through. I suggest the Short, steep, rocky trail up, and then the Long, less rocky, less rough on the knees way down. I can't imagine the short trail down with all those rocks. View was not great, weather wasn't clear (hence only four stars). Not a lot of room up top, but a decent amount to chill for a bit.

Lightly traveled foot path with fun rock scrambling up the brook trail. On the easier side of moderate. Loved it!

Well worth it. The review below is very helpful, especially the note about the sign for the cliffs which is very easily missed for being so high.

Great trail for beginners and families with kids. Suggest taking the long trail up and the short trail down.

amazing hike with serious ascents. the trail is well marked and almost entirely shaded. yes. it is rocky. sturdy shoes a must. hiking poles recommended. other hikers describe crowds. not our experience on a summer monday. we saw a few folks each way. at the top you will pop out on a park road. go left to find picnic tables, bathrooms, cold water, and a great view of lake George.

A quick and easy walk that got me closer to finishing the fire tower challenge. I paired this hike with Hurricane and did both in 1 day.

This was a difficult hike mostly up steep terrain. Coming down is slippery -bring walking sticks. I would call this more than moderate difficulty.

Great hike, but pretty crowded on the trail. I would only recommend for weekday when it’s slightly less busy. Parking lot fills up early on the weekend.

Great trail. Short, a bit steep at times but I my 3yo did it while holding my hand. Can get pretty slick in the rain. Go early to beat the crowds but there is actually plenty of room on the trail.

Beautiful place to hike. Definitely recommend!

For sure one of the more difficult hikes we have been on. It was a challenging hike but very rewarding and beautiful at the summit. Prepare to get your heart rate up. Great for older kids...not for younger ones....and our King Charles loved the hike....recommend for all but bear in mind...this is no cake walk!

This is a very enjoyable hike. The first 1.5 miles is very easy, some rocks and mud here and there, but nothing terrible. Once you see the lake from the trail you are nearing the turn to the cliffs. There are a couple of side trails to campsites and the shore of the lake as well. Once you continue on you will cross a small snowmobile bridge, and shortly after you will see a second one, the turn to the cliffs is just before that second bridge on the right. It would be easy to miss the sign pointing to the cliffs as it higher than expected. The trail up to the cliffs is what you might expect from any Adirondack mountain trail. Nothing terrible, roots and rocks, and some soft muddy spots and blow downs. The trail up is not well marked, but is well worn and easy to follow. I saw three blue trail markers on the way up and down. Take a mental note of where you arrived on top, as nothing is marked and you could start to descend in a different spot. The location of the cliffs is obvious, and very nice. Overall a nice 4 mile hike. Gets the heat pumping.

Challenging relatively short hike with a wonderful view at the top. We took the longer route up and back. Some areas with rocks to navigate and some wooden ladders to reach the summit. There were some slippery rocks due to recent rain but overall the hike is very do-able with some careful attention to footing. We added on the south camp loop around the lake which was easy.

This is the 2nd time I have done this hike. The trail is VERY well marked and maintained. The path has a mixed terrain in areas with larger rocks to maneuver. There are two areas with a steeper incline and some people may need an assist depending on their skills/abilities/comfort level. The view from the Sumit is a beautiful sight of Blue Mountain lake.

this was and awesome hike a bit longer then what I'm use to but pretty easy hike we stopped once on the way in. I will suggest anyone trying to get to the bottom of the falls to bring a rope that would have been very helpful.

Very pretty views top and an easy trail with a fun rock scramble on top.

Great hike with beautiful waterfall at end. Never too steep.

Great day trip. We spent about 3 hours total hiking around. The climb to the cliffs was steeper than we expected but doable for me, my 12 year old daughter and our flat coated retriever. Tree roots make it for the most part, natural stairs so it’s easy to keep footing. Also hiked to Good Luck Lake. I’ll be going back. Only a few slightly muddy spots. Overall pretty dry.

As advertised- nice short walk to a pretty waterfall and back

This was our sons first mountain hike and he loved it. We did the blue trail up which worked out well for him as he LOVED the rocks and the climbing. From the summit we took the yellow trail down which lead to a much more secluded and peaceful hike down. We only passed a few couples hiking up. My husband and I enjoyed the ease of the climb and our son did well with the trails. Make sure you bring water and wear the appropriate footwear!
