This very easy trail was a pleasure, just a stroll really. There is a beautiful drive to get to the trail head. The facilities include a rest room and picnic area. The out and back walk is a little uneven with roots and rocks, so be a little extra careful in the fall when the path is covered with leaves. The last section down to the falls is a tad tricky but so worth it.

Got there around 730 no one else on the trail till we headed back is a beautiful trail well worth the time to falls about 1.5 hours to falls from trail head

Always a great trail have done in all season and winter is the best

Hands down the bedt hike we have ever taken. Beautiful all the way. And we would not call it strenuous, just a fun challenge (we are 67 year old intermediate day hikers).
A caution: The area right around the falls is a natural refrigerator. After you spend time up there, stretch before going back down & start out slowly. I did not & tore both ligaments in my left knee & the muscle in my right thigh. Easily preventable.
Can't wait to heal up and get back up there.

The day was fogged in, so unfortunately we didn’t get any of the awesome vistas. But we could imagine them. We did however still have a great hike. The leaves are gone at the upper elevations now but there is color (every shade of green) in the moss, ferns, and undergrowth. Still quite amazing. I’d rate the trail as moderate, and found it a nice leisure hike. We stopped at the shelter for a bite to eat and were greeted by a die and two fawns grazing in the reeds in front of us. That was our ‘10’, along with the shades of green undergrowth. We decided to head back from there since there was no expected view from Charlie’s Bunyan ; we’ll be back on a clear day. I rated 5 stars as I didn’t want to down rate it for the weather. This has all the makings of an awesome trail.

This is my favorite hike in the Smokies. Beautiful views and lots of amazing natural wonders to take in. Can be difficult at times but is well worth the effort. Can't wait to do this again when the wild flowers are in bloom.

Gorgeous fall! Powerful and no hike required! We did venture down the rocks to get a few more photos - it is super slippery!

One of my favorite trails. I did not like all the bear jams along Cade’s cove though. Took a long time to get out of the park. But we’ll worth it. Saw a total of 16 bears mostly mammas with their cubs. Wild turkey. The biggest red headed woodpecker I ever saw and bunch of deer. Great day.

There is a paved steep pathway to the observation deck. Not far but steep. Beautiful view from the top. Take the clingmans dome bypass trail back down to the parking lots it’s worth it. I wish I knew there was an adjacent trail before I saw the ranger at the deck.

We did not go all the way to mount leconte. My hubby and I stopped at the bluff. From the trail head to the bluff, it’s about 2.2 miles. What a great hike. Really loved this trail. The mossy trees and creek were amazing. The arch was super cool. The bluff had icicles hanging that were falling down like missles. Loved it. This is a very popular trail so go early.

Love this trail. Have done it during all seasons. This weekend we still had beautiful colors to the trees. The new bridge before the trail splits (Snow Falls, Laurel Falls) looks great. Not very fond of walking on logs and was happy to see it! Highly recommend it. Keep in mind that getting to Snow Falls, or Bryant overlook (crossing above Laurel Falls) involves a creek crossing and may not be doable depending on current/depth of water.

This trail had a bit of everything. the view from the top was amazing too! just beware of the ice all over the trail this time of the year

I have so much respect for this mountain after hiking this trail. Definitely one of the hardest hikes I've done, but also the most rewarding. There are so many beautiful landmarks to keep you inspired along the way.

The hike to the top is very steep but the views are amazing and so worth it! Parking is a challenge.

I went with some friends that was fairly new at hiking. We got there about 10:30 in the morning and went on all the trials, some were very strenuous with climbing over boulder and rocks. My first time there and would do this again, the views were beautiful with the fall foliage in the area.

Breath taking!

This trail it's self is nothing to talk about, but the falls are decent.

Be prepared for a bit of a climb but overall a really nice trail and the views at the top make it well worth it!

My wife and I hiked to Mt. LeConte via Alum Cave Trail. We have never gone this way before but have done it several times via Rainbow Falls and Grotto Falls. No matter which way you go, it is beautiful. The foliage was gorgeous.

Beautiful trail! Longer than expected, but worth it. There were down trees, and a lot of rocks and roots, so you have to be cautious. The waterfall was beautiful, and I’ll never forget it. My boyfriend proposed at the fall. What’s not to love?

This hike has it all! Great variety of trees, views and difficulty including the cave, stone steps, and exposed rock where you will be thankful for the handholds. Be sure to wear waterproof shoes and once you get to the Lodge keep going for better views from the Cliff Top.

I thought I was gonna pass out but beautiful

We hiked the first week of November 2018. Great trail, beautiful colors with the leaves. The day was awesome, mid-60's. The trail was nice, a little mud from recent rain, tree roots and rocks in the trail. well marked to Hen Wallow Falls. Round trip was about 4.2 miles. This trail is highly recommended, we would definitely hike here again.

Great trail, really nice falls.

Don’t miss this!!Absolutely amazing!!! Majestic views. It’s a long hike, start early so you can stop and take pictures along the way. It took us 8 hours round trip moving at a goos pace and making a few stops. Don’t eat the sack lunch at Le Conte lodge, it was horrible. Pack your own food and plenty to drink.

Me and my sweetheart Hoss went on this hike and it was beautiful, the climb is so worth it!! Beautiful views and cliffs.Seen the first snow of the year! The view from the top was beautiful,it was cold and windy. But cant wait to do it again. I couldn't ask for a better hiking partner,he wore me out!!

One of the first hikes I did of the weekend! It was definitely a challenge and pretty long but well worth the hike up! Weather was beautiful, part of the mountains were frosted off from the sun not hitting them just yet. The views are to die for! Keep your speed steady.

My favorite trail in the smokies. This is also my favorite route to mount leconte. During fall and spring parking can be full so leave early. Beautiful trail during the fall!

Loved this trail!! I would say it’s an easy hike with sections of moderate. Mostly a steady grade except as you first leave the falls area! I traveled from the Cleveland area, GPS directed a different route going the falls than when I left. Take Hwy 64 route to access pull off areas with fantastic views.

Really worth it when you see the view! Kids might think this is “moderate” but this old dude w bad knees and a pacemaker says it is most definitely worthy of a “hard” rating! But a great hike!
