amazing view in the top.

nothing spectacular about this hike, parking area is packed crowds galore, summit is not much view either there is restrooms at the top, prolly wont hike this again

Beautiful view at top. Moderate difficulty, short and sweet, shaded hike, not too much variety in scenery along hike.

Easy walk in the woods. A good place to cool off in summer heat, lots of conifer shade. Some amazing cairns along one trail.

Absolutely beautiful trail.

When i came back to my car they had broken the window. I had nothing of value in the car. Maybe leave your doors unlocked? I will not be back.

Great sunrise hike yesterday. Started at 6 am no one else on the hike up & at the top.

Lots of dogs and kids on the trail. Can watch the paragliders as they go down. The first half is lots of rocks and stones so watch your step if it’s been raining. Nice views at the top. Took us 1hr to get up and 45 to get down, under 4 miles total. Good afternoon hike.

Beautiful trail, awesome view!

took the dog on this route today, go early on the weekends the parking area was filled by 8am when we arrived and there was groups of 3-5 on way back down after 10am the crowds get insane took twice as long to get down then go up, but good hike for a early morning hike and back around 1pm

we did the route today with the dog, was muddy being shoes with good tread as not to slip, long waits for lines of hikers literally lines of 5-10 people at about 9am, if you hike before 8am you should be ok. trail was nice being trekking poles

its all paved

Got to the trailhead a little after noon and the lot was full but there really weren’t many people on the trail. If the weather is nice you’ll likely see some paragliders landing at the trailhead. Beautiful view of the surrounding area and Mt Rainer at the first clearing and I’d recommend going up to the second clearing (Poo Poo Point) to get a view of Cougar Mtn and Lake Sammamish. Super short trail - only took us a little over an hour going up with a few breaks and probably 45 min going down at the most.

Nice easy hike on a crisp fall day. Only trouble was navigation, very few trail markers/wayfinding signage.

Went on a Saturday and expected to see a lot of people, but it really wasn’t too bad, though the lot was full. The trail is nice and clear. It is incline the whole way, but it is short, and there are places to pull over and rest. The view from the top is wonderful. What a great way to spend and afternoon!

Extremely busy but well maintained trail. Does get steep in parts but the view at the top is beautiful. The Paragliders were tons of fun to watch and many of them offered tandem rides down.

seems they provide a title to the review versus letting me do it? odd.

hiked a Friday morning in November. got there at 9am. plenty of parking and pooping dogs. great trail. rained a good bit, 40F. didn't get too wet.

Oct 2018 - Woodsy and well-marked trails. It was very pretty in the fall with lots of color. I wanted to get a couple hours of walking in before it rained. Even though it started drizzling, I didn’t mind so much with all the tree cover. Encountered some young families and mountain bikers. Great little getaway.

Really nice hike with beautiful view points!

nice walk up and great views

Was expecting mud - the trail was surprisingly dry. The trail is about 50% covered by leaves which can make it slippery. Saw a beautiful hooded merganser. Quick easy outing, good to do once, probably won’t come back.

My husband and I did this (we're not in the best shape) and huffed and puffed on the way up but man was it worth it! Great views, lots of beautiful greenery along the way!

Mushrooms, moss, ferns, leaves, and a nice view of Issaquah and Lake Sammamish at the top. Bring hiking boots not Chuck Taylors.

This is a perfect fall hike!! In the beginning, there are stone steps that make it truly magical — like a scene from Lord of the Rings. The views at the top are lovely to enjoy as you rest and eat lunch. It’s also a treat to watch the para gliders launch. Tips: 1) bring lunch and water 2) hike is actually more like 4.5 miles 3) the hike down is much faster and took us half the time as going up 4) this is a beautiful hike to do in October, and the views are even more spectacular with the contrasting fall colors. Love :)

We hiked here on wet Monday, October 1st, 2018 via Cherico Trail to Poo Poo Point. We did 5.5 miles roundtrip with 1600 ft elevation gain. Nice well maintained trails. Some parts of the trails are rocky. Hiking shoes are definitely needed here. Lovely Autumn color in between the green forestry was nice to see.
Even though it rained during the hike, but we were protected under the canopy of trees almost the entire trails. The view of Issaquah, and Lake Sammamish in the distance was great. Didn’t see any hang gliders at this time. But will definitely come back in a better day.

Nice area. You need a discovery pass (so if you’re out of state like us get it before arriving).

For the Talus rock trail we went ‘right’ at the trail sign which means we ended up climbing almost 1,100 feet (according to my Apple Watch) but the way down was way easier. I can’t imagining going down the way we went up since the rocks were damp of rain earlier in the day. Climbing poles might be a good thing.

It was quiet on a Wednesday afternoon. Only saw 6 people which was fine by us.

Pit toilets. Bring hand sanitizer or wipes.

I want to go back and try some other trails but we were limited on time today.

10/22/2018 (Monday) - I got two minutes having the site only for my lone soul while reaching there. It's still hazy in the far after heavy fog in the morning.
