Great trail — one half of the loop on stream is easy and great for families but the other side especially on French trail — wow that was a hike! Be sure not to get stuck on the French trail when it gets dark — cut across to stream trail if it becomes too difficult
Our first time here and did the 9.1 mile loop. Surroundings are beautiful and serene. Lots of gradient changes which made the hike challenging but with rest breaks and plenty of shade it was good. Parking is horrendous! Get there early if you can. Unfortunately returned to our car and found our front passenger window busted.. glass everywhere!Thieves rifled through our stuff but only took a bag of coins. I do not recommend parking off street if it is far away from the main lot. Saw lots of broken glass everywhere so this seems to happen frequently.
Had a great time lots of trees and sights.Get there early to avoid parking issues and traffic on the trails.
Best
Not too crowded for a Sunday.
Great workout. Fully shaded trail makes it perfect for a sunny day hike. The parking is tricky, so while approaching the actual location, park it on the roadside and add a mile to your trail length.
Excellent hike with great views in all directions! Steep at sections. There’s a cool rock that you’ll walk to on the path.
Nice location, mostly shaded. Good for dogs. If your pet has long hair/fur, be careful of underbrush getting stuck in it.
Beautiful hike. I’m grateful for my poles. Terrain was perfect
Steep but beautiful!
Over all there’s many trails I took the wrong one but it was a good hike still. Parking is limited
So beautiful. One of my favorites.
Great trail with steep incline and beautiful views
Trail has some very steep sections that I would not recommend if you don’t have trail appropriate shoes, or good balance. There are sections that are steep and are just dirt, so it can be tricky depending on the direction you take this trail. Also to note bot yet mentioned, there are many loose cows all over this route. While they seem used to people and not threatening, it’s something to know. There are also numerous patties all over the trail as a result. Views are great at the top, this isn’t a good running trail (IMO) bc of how steep it is, but beautiful for hiking on a nice day.
