My go to pavement trail run spot. nicely lit up at night, never over crowded unless there is a game happening. And And on top of that, everyone is super kind.

trail is nice get away from the city, but it looks like they are working on it. there seems to be a lot of off shoots. the clearer the path looks is most likely the one that will follow what you currently see on this app. there are a great deal of picnic tables setuped for you to use

This trail does not exist anymore. It is now a golf course.

This is my favorite trail in New Orleans. The Audubon Park is roughly a 2 miles loop but the environment is very safe. The runners/bikers on this trail is very like minded. I try to run this trail at least once a week.

This trail has a very nice view but with the New Orleans heat the smell of sewage on this trail is very hard to look pass. This trail is better suited for the fall season.

Nice shaded trail. Lots of small hills and switchbacks. Ran the Armadillo Dash here. It's a bit narrow for a full on race, but shade made it nice. Very dry and dusty. Pretty hot in July with no breeze. Would be a lot of fun in cooler temps.

Too crowded for actual exercise.

Enjoyed a nice run along this path the morning after too much food and drink... tried and succeeded in sweating it out of my system.

Always a nice walk and usually lots of beautiful people.

UPDATE: (04/28/18) Couldn't resist, had to go back. trail was 90% dry and 100% runnable. light maintenance and it will back to great shape.

wanted to write a review so hikers/runners/bikers could get an update since the spillway was flooded back in amarch.
Today (4/22/18) I ran/walked the trail. The 1st half runs along the waters edge and since it is the high part of the trail and receives plenty of sunshine, it was 90% runnable/bikeable. The second half, which is the shady low side, was extremely wet and difficult to run. I mostly walked after slipping a few times. i'm hopeful a few more weeks of decent weather will help dry things out.
As for the trail itself, it is a fun trail with the 1st half behind extremely fast. The back half is a little technical with switch backs and some up and downs. The trail is mostly clean but every once in a while root may sneak up on you, so keep your eyes open.
I will try and update in late May.

Great paved walking/running loops that are accessible from 5:00 a.m. through 10:00 a.m. Park is very well maintained and has good lighting for exercising at night.

not much to look at while walking at the top of the hill/levee dunes and very isolated when walking alone
besides that you have to turn around and walk back and look at the same boring stuff to get back to your car

I've been using this park 4 -5 times per week for the last couple months and now that it's spring it is getting a little bit more crowded. I feel so safe and relaxed while walking alone watching the ducks, geese, turtles.

Beautiful views, plenty of spots to sit for a break or just to take in the views. Next to a huge indoor mall...

For a clear bike path with few views OK. For a hike really boring with views of the river hidden behind buildings and trees!!

40 degrees and sunny. Saw lots of birds, squirrel. Very good concrete walking and biking trail, which allows to have dogs on leashes. I walked 2 Miles at 40 minutes with my dogs pace, can spend all day here just roaming around the grounds

Walk this at least twice a week with my boxer. Great atmosphere. You can chose concrete or dirt trail by walking next to concrete as is been worn down by folks. You will see the occasional horses on the horse trail. Lost of birds and photoesque type opportunities.

Visited the area a few years back and walked around in the early evening before things got very crazy. Very enjoyable without the crowds

busy and loud at nite, much like red light district in Amsterdam.

Decent food and drink but prepared for tourist prices.

A sight to see for anyone passing through new Orleans.

This little network of trails in City Park is one of my favorite places where I can go to escape “the city.” The end of Fall is an ideal time to go as there are few bugs and people on the trails, but plenty of birds in the trees. On this last trip, I spotted some Wilson’s Warblers, yellow-rumped warblers, anhingas, mallards, and a Brown pelican on the water. The hill in the middle of the forest is a nice climb for being in New Orleans. One you reach the top, there is a large concrete map of the city. Huge sycamore leaves can be found on the ground this time of year. I don’t come here enough and I hope to change that.

Architecture and sights are great but bring a clothes pin for the nose.

It’s a bike trail, lots of turns, not a hiking trail
