beautiful day for a hike. Definitely need yak tracks. the view at the top was spectacular today!!

Absolutely beautiful hike, it can get intense at some points closer to the pinnacle but it’s worth every bit. Best time to go is the first week of October.

Loved this trail! Views from the top (and middle) are beautiful and worth the semi-challenging trail. Additional fun: Two local golden retrievers with bells and tags met us at the bottom and took us all the way to the top, no owners. We learned from some locals on the trail that these amazing pups have been on that trail for years and are sweet and brave, which we found out!

Not much solitude, but good for a workout and a good scenic view at the end.

Great trail to see some historical sites!

Beautiful sites at the top. Definitely a challenging incline. Could be done in a few hours. Overall very fun.

Excellent experience if you love history. Even if you are not a history buff this pathway is great for sightseeing.

Awesome hike. Loved the feeling of using my trekking poles with the rocks on the final section of the top. Really cool view and very good trail, from some of the reviews I was off-putted, however, my girlfriend suggested we still go and I’m glad we did. We went on a Monday and only saw a few people and one person at the top who kindly left for us. We were at the top for about 30 minutes. No one came up. Highly recommend.

For our 7th Anniversary we stayed at the Mount Pisgah Campground and hiked the Pisgah trail with our dogs. The dogs did great and it wasn’t too bad on them although they were exhausted afterwards. I’m not an avid hiker and I will tell you I felt very tired after the hike but it was totally worth it. I wouldn’t recommend this trail if you are starting out especially with those that have chronic back problems or knee/ankle injuries due to the steep inclines going up and declines going down. I have had two ACL reconstructions and they are about 8 years old, needless to say arthritis kicked in good afterwards lol. Altogether it was a beautiful hike and very fulfilling to reach the top. There are (2) creeks, birds, multiple types of trees and shrubs, and wonderful rock formations along the trail. I think you will truly enjoy this trail should you decide to hike it.

Excellent hike and view!!

Easy bike ride. At times path is congested with people. Better views at the northern end of the trail. Not so in the beginning.

The view on the top was spectacular once the flurries of snow drifted away and the clouds cleared. As for difficulty, I would say this is on the harder side of moderate even though I began at the Stowe Pinnacle Meadow parking lot. Yes, the view is definitely worth the hike up.

Alright people here we go...this trail is awesome! It will fool you. The first 1/4 mile is flat and easy, then the next 1/4 mile has some rocks to use as stepping stones. Then the fun begins! It's a mile and a half of elliptical training. Imagine an elliptic machine and a mountain had a baby. If co editions are perfect, great hike. We had a wether front come in and it was wet, slippery rocks. Coming down in perfect condition would be easy. Ours was a bit more challenging. Be warned...wear appropriate hiking shoes. You will thank me later.

This is one of those hikes where the views from the info center are better than from the top of the mountain. There were way too many people for my taste, and they were the kind that just sit at the top, hogging the mountain top to themselves. This is just a simple tourist attraction, nothing worth climbing unless you want to weave around the non-hikers out for a walk and wait for a chance to climb the rocks on top. This is also a gravel path, so it really can't even be called a hike. Took and hour for me to go up and down and so far it's been a least favorite adventure of mine.

Good views from the landing up top. It took about an hour and 10 minutes round-trip.

Nice hike! Beautiful views at the top! I'm sore!

Constant elevation gain. Very challenging. Will get your heart rate up for sure. Great reward at the top. Extremely crowded on leaf peeping weekend. Tons of dogs on this trail. We encountered nearly 100 of them mostly without leashes.

Always awesome

Just took my 7th and 8th grade class on this hike a few days ago. It was great! In the amount of time we had, a little more than half made it to the top. For a lot of them it was a challenge in persistence, but the reward of making it was worth the tiredness the felt the next day. This was my 5th or so time on this trail and it is definitely a fun one with some great views.

It took me about 50 minutes to hike up to the summit, I’m not a hiker but I’m a healthy and active person. I went slow but I only stopped a few times for less than a minute each to take pictures and catch my breath. Some parts of the trail were rocky and steep and a little slippery. I started around 7:20am and saw only one couple with their dogs ahead of me. I had the summit all to myself for a few minutes and the view was very nice, although the view from the Buck Springs Gap overlook near the trail entrance was much more spectacular than the one at the summit.

this was my favorite hike all year. the top reminded me of the Himalayas a little bit.

A very nice way to get acquainted with the city when you are there for the first time. We all enjoyed it, including our 8-year-old son.

Take your time, pay attention to cyclists, don’t get mad at slow drivers ahead of you, bring food and hiking shoes (even if you had planned only to drive), and pull over every time you want.

Did it in the rain and the clouds are the top we’re breathtaking. Want to do it again when the sun is out. Beautiful!!!!

Great area to walk and relax!

My gps clocked it at 2 miles each way. Good little hike, lots of off leash dogs. Took about 2 hours with my pup.

A must do if you’re in town. Go North to North Beach , Leddy Park and the Causeway trail { *through the lake } and South to Oakledge Park. Amazing lake views for much of this trail, and decent shade as well. Please obey the traffic rules and pay attention - it’s a fairly heavily travelled trail in season, in sections.

This is a must do when going to the Boston area. It’s full of history and and wonderful hike through Boston. We elected to use a tour guide and it made it so much richer.
