Great little hike but definitely wish it was longer. Crampons or Yak Tracks are definitely useful if you’re doing it in winter. Beautiful views at the top for a short hike, though!

Nice views of the valley. Very icy use cleats. People on the trail are excellent and helpful. With nice weather the ice is only in areas protected by the trees. Kid friendly 7-12 yrs had a blast.

Beautiful loop, but if you're winter hiking, make sure you have cleats. Very icy right now.

First hike of 2019! Nice little trail with really pretty views :)

This is a nice easy trail for all levels of experience.

Great views. Hike for all ages.

Beautiful day. Lots of fresh snow and was snowing a bunch on the return trip! Avy group said conditions above treeline were not stable.

An absolute gem. You will never say that this trail is dull. Went during winter and the view is just breathtaking. Great for snow shoeing and cross country skiing ! We brought a

Great quick hike for any Calgarian

Great family hike. Great views - head up stairs and go clockwise

Short hike for a great view. Suggest going up the stairs first

I did this hike multiple times this year walking my dog. I went a week ago and didn’t need spikes or snowshoes. It was slippery in some areas but quite dry in others. It’s a very easy hike that has some ok views.

It was a nice hike a easy first but but then it’s switch backs all the way up the side of a mountain.

Enjoyed this hike more than i expected however with a few caveats. The start is a little confusing... my recommendation would be to walk SE down the road from the parking area and pick up the trail by the sign post by the large field (you should be able to see a little bridge and a pond). We hiked clockwise after crossing the field and felt that was the better direction as it made for more interesting climbing. Trail state was so-so with decent traction but trees down in several places. The portion from the bottom of the cut-line decent back to the pond was very indistinct, never really feeling like we were on the trail - wasn't ever worried about getting lost, but had to pick our way through brush. Overall, the trail was fun and the views were unique (check my recording for some waypoints you may find helpful).

Mostly flat trail. Easy-moderate. ~2.5 hr hike.

Lovely wide and easy trail with nice views. There were
about 4 inches of fresh snow on the ground. We wore micro spikes but could have been done without them.

The first section is straight uphill and can leave you a bit breathless. After that it evens out totally, and when you get to the lake, the view is absolutely beautiful! Highly recommend!

Nice and relaxing hike, definitely recommend doing it counter clockwise. You can enjoy the views from the ridge more. Was a bit slippery in places, we wore yaktrax, as there was a bit of ice in spots. It was quite beautiful with the light snow falling. Loved how wide the trail was, made it nice for conversation.

little to no wildlife....cows...cow patties ....not even a squirrel...lots of wild flowers kid friendly

Nov.25th - steep for the first 20-25 minutes but easy once you hit the lake! Waterfalls are beautiful.

this was my first hike postpartum and it was perfect for starting out again. Lots to look at and cute little fall!

The water/ice sculpture created by the freezing waterfall makes this moderately easy hike a 5/5. Wearing micro spikes proved helpful as the start of the hike as well as the short path down to the waterfall were steep.

04/11 Would recommend as an easy winter hike with a very special waterfalls treat at the end. Required spikes for majority of the hike thanks to an icy trail. The climb down to the falls is very sketchy so recommend spikes and poles.

Was a great time, took our dog out on leash and she met a few other dogs along the way. If you have dog boots, take them with, although it wasn't muddy theres definitely some wet spots. We loved the trail, especially if you take it counter clockwise, some great view/easier to hike near the last quarter of the hike. Enjoy.

Really nice and easy but don’t go there when it’s cloudy , the end of the trail was completely fog :( but still nice hike for beginner !! I enjoyed it with my dog and women ! It took us 3 h back and forth
