One of my favorites especially in the fall. Beautiful grove of aspens toward the top.

on Parmalee Trail Loop

I did this in early Spring and it was a bit windy, but nice!

great hike, not many people

We didn't have service to refer to the map, and it isn't marked well on the provided paper map. We ended up following Burro Trail the wrong way, oops. We want to go back & find the lake! Regardless, beautiful and not too crowded.

Good area to hike with several different trail options. Good variety with forested areas and meadow areas with good views.

Headed out about 5 pm on a Sunday. Saw a few hikers but mostly on our own. My 2nd hike since moving here and really enjoyed it. Was a little leery of the moderate label, but it wasn’t too much - although steady incline throughout and definitely a workout for me. We hiked to Greenfield Meadow and back. Would’ve been perfect if the stream had water, but still a nice peaceful hike. Will do this one again.

Great trail for walking.

Went counter clockwise on this trail starting on the mule path through forgotten valley and then linking up with the mountain lion trail and included the offshoot to Windy peak. It was a nice slow incline at the start. After the meadow the incline increased more rapidly with short respites and wooded shade area which continued through to Windy peak. On the way down there were small rocks on the trail and the path switched back and forth. There was much less shade coverage until the last mile. Once you hit the shade there is another small incline before you hit the home stretch which was upsetting to all of us. It was a decent challenging hike with a beautiful reward at the top. My hunting dog absolutely loved this trail and we brought a lot of water for him.

First hike in Colorado in which I thought 'how the hell do I get out of here'. It's my fault. It doesn't claim to have all the glitz and glam of other mountains but I listened to a friend who said it was a great way to spend the afternoon and now I will never listen to them again. Underwhelming views pretty crowded and nothing that made it all feel worth it. I know, I know, I have a bad attitude. I honestly just don't like my job right now so it's reflecting highly in this review which is partially unfair but that's life.

The wildflowers and aspens along the trail were beautiful! Remember you need a state park pass for this one.

Beautiful views. Good to know, Belcher Hill Trail is not a 3.9 mile loop. If you want to hike the 3.9 mile loop, Belcher Hill Trail will intersect with Mustang Trail. Take Mustang Trail and it will loop back around. If you stay on Belcher Trail, you will be hiking over 11 miles.

I backpacked into Frazier Meadows for a short overnight in late June. The wildflowers were gorgeous- irises and columbines everywhere. The elevation was constant but worth the efforts. Staying overnight I didn’t see anyone else but could hear one other backpacker somewhere near by. I’d for sure do this as a day hike again!

Perfect solo hike - do in the evening and end by walking up the Meadow Trail. Stunning sunset views!

Great wildflower hike and tons of aspens!

I went on a Monday morning and not a lot of people! I will do this one again soon! Just be mindful of the private residence and drive slow on the road

Nice way to spend a Sunday morning. Welcomed the shade from the hot sun. Well traveled by all ages.

This was a really fun hike not so much for the fauna or flora but the awesome creek/river bed. There are several beautiful vistas including of the lakes, but the river bed is where all the fun is at.

Beautiful views. We saw a deer this afternoon. Very quiet, easy to hear insects & birds. Trail has a nice mix of sun & shade.

Make sure you do not take a wrong turn and end up on Burro! You will be in for a hell of difference between moderate and hard.

Great trail; with a bit of history.

Great trial for our first time hike with a toddler! It took two hours, we walked very slowly and weren’t tired. Highly recommended for kids.

So fun. Great views and enough shade to keep you going. Don't forget to stop at the Mac Cafe on the way back. excellent!!

Busy day on the trail. Beautiful scenery however. Run the trail clockwise from the lot if you want a ton of vert right away. It’s about 600ft gain. Run it counterclockwise if you want a slow steady incline most of the way. There was a massive amount of mountain bikers when I was there with very little trail etiquette. I imagine this place is peaceful in the early morning hours and during the week.

Absolutely amazing hike! As a beginner, it was a tough one. Mostly incline which is what winded me so much. Best feeling in the world once you get to the top.

Beautiful walk, especially before the sunset. Around dusk you will see a lot of deer in the fields grazing.
The red rocks are stunning.
It does get busy, but it is still close to the metro.
Good for walking, running, biking

Nice loop. Not too hard not too easy. Lots of flowers this time of yr!

great trail. lots of zigzags . there is like a silent woods area you get to walk through with logs leading the path. the end near the peak can kinda be rough.

Really enjoyed this trail. Overall I’d say it’s easy with a few moderate parts sprinkled in that get your heart rate up. No technical areas by any means. Absolutely gorgeous to view the sunset from in the evenings!

Beautiful hike that has great shade and opens up to the city. You can connect to other trails that go through a meadow as well. This trail is majestic with flowers, trees, and rocks. Quick escape from the city for every mountain wanderer!

Perfect for a quick day hike close to Denver. Very crowded, even on a weekday. Passes a few stream crossings which are nice for the dog to get some water and feet wet. Easy but still with a little elevation gain-- nice view from the high point about halfway through the trail. Lots of dogs and children. We had a little picnic at one of the many sitting areas near the stream after the hike-- very enjoyable. 3 stars only because view are very mediocre and it's close to the highway but not all trails can be 5 star views! Will definitely be back in the future.
