Some great views of the valley and a very reasonable hike.

Great hike when you are limited on time. The views were wonderful. Challenging at parts and switchbacks were a nice change.

Nice and easy hike

Trip on Jul. 14. A perfect day for hiking.

Awesome hike up to Rawson mostly shaded which is nice when the sun is beating down. We caught lots of cutthroat in the 12-16inch range. I was informed larger ones are present.

mama black bear with cubs on the trail. Unable to complete as she kept coming back and wouldnt get off the trail.

Incredible hike. Would recommend counterclockwise from the base as there's a steady incline and a few switchbacks on the way up (we chose to get that out of the way during the first part of the hike) then a steep hill and then you're at the glorious lookout which is totally worth the hard trek up. Steep rock down the other side of Jewell pass then smooth sailing from there. Nice waterfall to take in on the way down too. Took our golden retriever and she did really well (a few stops for water). All in all took us about 4 hours with the water stops and about 20 mins for lunch at the summit.

It was green good elevation but green

After reaching the top,the view is breathtaking!

Great hike. No flat spots at all, straight incline from the first step! The was amazing. arrived on top at 9pm the sun was setting and it was well worth it.

Great trail, well marked,

Some nice views along the way up, once the canyon opens up the path isn't marked the greatest but it leaves a lot of room for exploring. I would recommend this as a nice afternoon outing and would do it again.

Great family hike, our 4 year old had no trouble making it to the top and back down under his own power. I carried our 3month old in an infant carrier. Great place to have a picnic lunch beautiful views.

Nice easy walk took the easy route with the kids.

I just did it this morning. Followed other people’s suggestion, I went the hard way up and the easy way down. It was not a long or hard hike, but there was a lot to see. Lake, fall, water, rock climbing!! When you reach the top, the view is fantastic! There is little fish in the lake too

Closed due to bear activity FYI

Well worth the climb! Spectacular views of Banff.

A great workout with an awesome reward at the finish. Incredible views from all angles.

Amazing hike with lots of significant spots and lookout points. Going down the hard way the paths were hard to navigate and found are selves in the middle of the woods.

Once you are up there It’s a bit like a moonwalk. The view is fantastic and absolut amazing (on a clear day). The trail is easy to find, but walking on the loose gravel for a couple of hours is a bit tiring.

July 11. A good easy treck through the woods. lots of flowers out now but all the creeks have dried up. We had a husky, Bichon & Chihuahua who loved it. Went super early and was no one around. You can hear a bear knocker along the trail but it wasn't loud.

Completed in 2 hrs with a couple 10 year olds. It is an easy enjoyable hike. Not particularly interesting but nice and open and close to Hwy 1. Exposed for a majority of the time so the fact that we went on a slightly cloudy day was perfect.

Nice short switchback trail that begins right in Banff. Once at the top you will have nice views overlooking the town of Banff on one side and the Banff Springs Golf course on the other. I found it’s best to hike in the evening just before sunset to avoid the crowds. Make sure to bring a drink with you to sip on one of the two red Adirondack chairs overlooking the town.

Amazing views! Take the easy way up and the more difficult way down! Totally worth it

It was awesome! Had little of everything, wildlife , waterfalls, mountains and a beautiful lake. Had a wonderful 4 hour hike with my wife and daughter.

Hiked this trail on June 13th at around 1030am, clear sunny sky. Cold at first but we dressed in layers so we were good all the way up and down. started on the more difficult trail and took 55 minutes to the lakes. The lakes look even better in person you can also spot some mountain climbers behind the second lake. We did this hike with our 5 month old, 11,7 and 5 year olds. We returned on the easy trail just for the experience.

Gets busy some days, but also worth returning when in the area. I’ve done this hike several times now over the last few years (winter and summer), never gets old

Definitely take the more difficult route at least one way to get great views of the waterfall that are otherwise not seen on the easy hike. Lakes are beautiful
