Snowy today and a bit slippery in parts. Be sure to wear layers, hat, gloves, proper hiking boots, and bring poles if you are not steady. Was able to complete the hike in an hour. No views today because of the weather.

Easy path, beautiful canyon and thrilling waterfall at the end.

I personally have done hundreds of hours of trail maintenance on the Jumping Pound – Pinetop Trail to keep it navigable by youngsters and senior hikers and a place for beginner and intermediate mountain bikers. I have removed those beautiful formed cow pies that get on your boots and bike tires. Yes, the trail is slippery when wet. The trail also is easily damaged when really wet and muddy; not so much when the trail is reasonably dry or frozen. If you are really hard core and want to get out no matter the conditions, do what I have done, go in behind Mt. Robson solo for ten days. Don’t be a cow!

Did this hike on the weekend before the snow came down. It was a great hike for my son and I. Trail was a little muddy and slippery in spots from the recent rain. And provided a good challenge for us. The view at the top was amazing and worth the climb. Lunch along the water was great and we were joined by a cheeky chipmunk and the chirps of the Pikas.

Pretty easy trail. The trail is well travelled so it's nice and wide open. Great views from the top. Good short hike if you're looking for something that's not hard but still gives great views

Though many hike Moose Mt from the top parking spot, it can be hiked from Bragg Creek parking following the gravel road. After about 6-7 km the gravel road that is an access to a pipeline valve facility ends and trails goes up toward Moose Mt. It joins the main trails after about 5 km. The total hike from Bragg Creek parking is about 30 km. We started at 5:30 a.m . and finished at 2:00 p.m. with 3 stops for snack/lunch.
Though I ranked this hike 3 that I wish I could rank 3.5, it is still good to hike. I give 5 stars to trails such as Skoki Loop, Paradise to Giant Steps, ...

nice trail for start hiking specially with family

Was a great little hike. Took about 1.5 hours including picture stops. Some snow today and a bit of mud, but not too bad and still good footing.

quick hike to complete in an hour. take the "more difficult" route for a more scenic hike and awesome gain elevation near the waterfall to the top. i would recommend you come back the way you came vs doing the "easy" route back down; it's boring but understandably save for those that need a level way to walk. beautiful view of canmore. don't forget to carry your bear spray. :D

great hike! great view :) on a snowy day

Nice hike, bit of incline at the beginning until you get to a nice open meadow. It took us about an hour ish to get to the lake. We did go to have a snack by the elephant rocks, there was nobody there and after that we did the loop around the lake.

It’s pet friendly, family friendly. It get very crowded. Go early

Great spot if you are looking for scenery without any work. I would call it more of a view point than a hiking trail, but it is a nice, simple, easily accessible walk that anyone can enjoy. Beautiful scenery.

A fairly quick (1-1.5 hours at a casual pace) hike with some great views of the Bow Valley to the East and West (including the town of Banff). Certainly can be done by people of all ages and abilities, but there are some steeper sections could tire some people out that are not in great shape so would recommend going slow if you are fairly new to hiking. Experienced hikers and those in good shape can get up pretty quickly and as some have mentioned there are usually some people running the trail. Some of the best views are on the way up especially to the East side of the mountain over the Banff Springs Golf Course and Rundle Mountain.

Great hike! We did it in the middle of winter and it was fairly slippery. We slid down on our bums the whole way back and it made for some amazing memories ;)

Stunning lakes! Quick and easy hike :)

Great place to hike for any age. Make sure you have proper footwear as it is quite rocky - a lady making her way up had fallen and hurt her ankle (hope you are doing ok!) If you go in the late morning/early afternoon it's quite busy all the way up to the waterfall, take a left and follow that trail into a nice open spot with inuksuks and hoodoos, we stayed in that area for half an hour and didn't see many others.

I didn’t really enjoy this little stroll, although it was nice and easy for everybody to be able to complete. I went in early to mid September so it’s very possible that I didn’t get the full effect with full pools and differing colours.

The orange clay was kind of neat. But at the end it was just a couple very small orange pools (smaller then Ink Pots) and just didn’t seem to be worth the stop when compared to other short treks.

A super easy fast hike with a great view of some falls at the end. The canyon is fascinating, I really enjoyed this hike, I did it at dusk and got some gorgeous pictures.

I recommend everyone check this out. Easy to fit in after a long hike or while passing through!

Sept.9/18 completed with a group of three. The hike took us 3 hours with a 20 min stop at the top. 360 degree views at the top of mountain ranges and barrier lake on one side and prairies on the other. This hike is suitable for all ages - we passed people ranging from 5-70 year old, and lots of friendly pups! The trail is wide the whole way except the last 30 metres. Fantastic hike!

A great trout lake but can be finicky. You can catch 50 when it’s on or 0 when it’s off.

Very well marked and comfortably wide trail. My family of 5 did the counter-clockwise loop in 5 hours with a few stops along the way. Very scenic and well worth getting to the very top (small scramble). Watch young children and pets at the top as there are many precarious spots where one could fall off a cliff. Bring lots of water - there's one spot on the way along the Jewel Pass Trail to collect.

Great hike! Steady, well marked trail.
We did it counterclockwise, nice tree views on the way up.
Not hard at all!

Beautiful trail.. I started early around 8AM, this hike is busy...crowds start at 10AM. Weather change quick up at Rawson Lake... moderate hike till Rawson lake.... it’s little technical after lake towards Saarail ridge be careful...

The beautiful colors of the lake really look gorgeous

It’s a nice hike but would be neat in summer when there is water flowing in the creek/river. Go right to the cave and climb up to it.
