Love this trail. Great challenge, but not too difficult.

This was a wonderful fall trail with interesting changes in topography. The trail could be marked a little better, but if you use the trail map from this app on your phone to double check your location you’ll be fine. I started on the opposite side of the parking lot and didn’t have a problem. The forest was very quiet, somewhat eerily so, and hardly anyone was there in the middle of the week.

No guardrail from the viewing area at the top of the falls!
At the trailhead you go left to view the falls from the top- go right to climb to the bottom. There is no trail running here- it’s all rock scrambling! Really, if you’re not going to climb the rocks to view the falls from the bottom, there’s no point in going!! Ozone is beautiful and definitely worth seeing just take your time and be careful as the mist from the falls creates slippery rocks. You could spend all day climbing and adventuring the back half of the pool and on down stream!
There is parking on the side of the road and across the street.

The drive in is not nearly as bad as previous reviews.....typical National Forest Road in good condition. 2WD is good to go. There were at least 6 cars at the trailhead when we left. None were 4WD. Hike is short and only tricky towards the end. Beautiful falls!

Pretty waterfall. Went in November. Leaves make some parts by the water slippery. Not clearly marked.

This trail was nice. The moderate rating is fair. The view at the top was spectacular. We hiked in the fall and all the leaves were changing. The waterfall was also nice. My 4 star rating was due to the fact that you are hiking along a major interstate and the noise was not what we were looking for on a hike through the woods.

beautiful beautiful beautiful

Loved it! It is a very beautiful place!

Awesome trail that winds around the mountain side. Just difficult enough with a pack and dog. We continued on the Chimney Top Trail and stayed the night at Mart Fields Campsite before backtracking the next morning. Beautiful views well maintained trail/site.

This is a great hike. It would be best to hike it in dry weather.

Beautiful in the early spring. Note there are multiple starting points for this trail. The longest is around 10 miles

Follows the river, but heavily trafficked (with people and dogs) and lots of road noise.

Nice easy to get to waterfall. I really enjoy this waterfall in the Fall when the leaves are changing.

Hiked this on 10/21 with my husband. It was definitely a challenge for both of us, but the views at the top made it absolutely worth it. There was a lot of temperature change on the way up and down so packing layers is a must. Give yourself at least 6 hours for this hike. The trail itself is straightforward and easy to follow on the way up, but on the way down it is easy to take the wrong trail when passing by campsites as there are sometimes multiple trails leading off. I’m surprised this trail isn’t more popular because it was definitely one of my favorites, but no complaints because we had the summit to ourselves for over a half hour!

A short trail but the lower trail to the falls is beautiful...a must see

Beautiful falls, easy hiking, trail with heavy foliage. Quite and tranquil. We didn’t see anyone on the trail, it’s well marked with the white markers with in about 50 feet’s of each other. The little wooden bridge is a cute touch, Cumberland isn’t to far but not accessible from this trail, we ended up driving to that location since we were able to hike there. But the trail is beautiful one I would recommend to an avid hiker or beginners.

Loved this Falls! Pretty blue water! I actually climbed down the steep rocky mountain to get to the falls. Would like to come back in summer time and swim in water.

Beautiful falls!!! The hike in is much easier than the drive in. I would make sure you did this trail with at least 2 people. It is very remote. Once you get to the falls, it is breathtaking. It has a few smaller falls at first but keep going. The hike out is hard. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time for breaks. There really isn’t a parking lot, it’s more like a big turnaround. The sign was not up, so make sure you take the trail that is to the left.

We couldn’t even make it to the trail because the road was so bad. Extremely windy and narrow. No way 2 cars could fit without fallling off the side. Lots if rocks, bumps, and holes. We were extremely disappointed.

Lots of beautiful falls to see in a short distance.

very beautiful Trail Falls is awesome at the end Trail is a little rough. as we went down last time we seen some Bear Prints in the mud on the trail.

I did the Heiss Rd to Immodium Falls and back a few years ago. The rating is correct it is difficult with a lot of ups and downs. I still need to complete the other half but there is a creek crossing on that section.

Trail is pretty boring but great to take the dogs or if you have any elderly relatives with you. We enjoyed the scenic views by the river and getting to take a picture with the National Park sign.

Great view especially from the South Overlook. Trail is well marked and trail from North Overlook clockwise is newly maintained. Road is narrow and windy up to the parking area though so be careful.

A walk in the park. Only a very beautiful park. A sunny day mid 60’s. Had the entire trail in and out to myself.

Good trail... lots of litter though :-/

Really pretty trail that follows the river. Flat the whole way, so a very easy one. Saw fresh bear tracks along the river in a couple of spots.

This is a great hike. The trail starts just left of the parking area at the falls. We didn’t go the whole trail distance but will definitely go back and do more.

It’s right off the road and only a little ways to the top of the falls. Beautiful.
