This was my 2nd time coming here. I love it. I hated outmaneuver underneath the fallen logs from the storm not to long ago. If you have bad knees yes this will be awkwardly painful. Other than that at the ledge it was super windy and cold. Took my group of ladies about 3 hours to finish. The sunset was pretty <3

Hiked on Sunday Jan 13. Arrived late around 10:30am and parked at high school. Not much to see on the way up - it’s a well-maintained trail with some traffic but not too crowded. Great workout, definitely on the moderate side as it gets steep 1/3 of the way in. The reward at the top is worth it - beautiful views surround you and everyone is basking in the sun and enjoying the scenery. Wonderful place to relax and eat lunch. Also saw a paraglider take off! Some parts of the trail were slightly muddy or had downed trees to climb over/under, but nothing strenuous aside from the climb up.

Went at 1:15pm. Very crowded in parts of the trail but was able to run some on the way up and down. Beautiful views! Worth every bit of traffic!

Not too strenuous and no views going up. Views at the three ledges aren’t as good as surrounding national parks.

No snow or ice on the path at all. It was a little crowded even though we went up around 9am but the view up there was amazing. When we went down around 1pm the parking lot was packed so I would recommend to go there early.

Great view. You might even catch someone jumping off!

Great views, interesting varied terrain and marmots. Usually a bit of snow even in summer. As others have written, don’t short yourself on water.

Beautiful hike! Perfect weather beautiful lake and Mt Rainier in full view!

Hiked it this morning and the only issue was about 7-8 fallen trees from the wind storm on 1/6/19. Some of them are big enough that you can't crawl under them but you can barely go over!

The snow started about 2/3 of the way up and gets thicker and thicker, but the trail is fairly clear with just some muddy spots. Probably around 3-4 inches total once you're at the top. If you start at Issaquah High School you can see the school from the summit which is pretty great.

Only a handful of other people on the trail today!

We lucked out and didnt have any rain while we hiked, but if it did I can see a lot of spots were one might slip easily. The view from the top is totally worth it! We parked by the high school, but there is a max of 7 cars that can park there.

2nd time here view still amazing took 2 first timers with us they loved it started 1:35pm -4:40pm stop and took a lot of photos few trees down due to wind storm night before but trail was still busy

This is my 2nd hike to Rattlesnake Ledge. Beautiful well maintained trail, no ice or sleet. Fairly easy hike to the top for moderate to experienced hikers. I went at 8:30, wasn’t as crowded. The view was amazing! Very windy at the top, but I took a break to eat and the scenery was just wow! Additionally, bathrooms are well maintained and stocked. Unlike many other places that I have hiked to. I will definitely go back again.

Great rewards for such a short hike! Only 2 miles to the top, but still a workout. No snow or ice. Trail is in good shape and bathrooms at the trailhead we're clean and stocked! (Always a plus)

Went on 12/3 at 0730. It was a rainy, windy day. There wasn't much to see from the top, but there was only one other person on the trail! The trail is very well maintained, and I could see myself coming back here to relax by the lake in the summer. Just don't follow the Google maps directions and use the AllTrails map to get to the location. All in all, it was a nice, little workout!

Cold but not too packed!

I went at 630 am this morning and the hike up wasn’t highly trafficked but the way down was really busy around 830am. The view was amazing though, especially at sunrise and I would highly recommend. I would give this more of a moderate rating rather than easy. It’s relatively steep on the way up.

Great way to end 2018. Not crowded and weather great. Not sure what the correct distance is BUT MapmyRun said 3.07 miles OW (which made the most sense). Definitely NOT 3.8 miles or more one way. Like this longer distance alternative to the shorter steeper Chirico Trail.

Hiked this back in November. It is very crowded past 0900, so make sure to get there early. Also, there is a much smaller ledge about 10 minutes farther up the trail that allows for a little more seclusion from the crowds.

Good hike but view a little disappointing

Way too crowded, especially just trying to park. Views at the top are spectacular and lucky you if there are paragliders at the top. Maybe try to go on an off day to avoid lots of people.

We started at around 10am and it wasn’t too busy. There were a lot of people on the way down though. Go early if you want to avoid the crowds. There was a little snow at the first ledge.

First off, Apple Maps directions assume there’s a closed gate. I didn’t even see a gate where indicated.

I was able to drive in 6-8” of snow in an AWD sedan without winter tires. Not the best. It was a bit sketchy turning back.

I had to park within 500 feet of the trailhead because of a fallen tree. Too big to move with my car.

It’s the first heavy snowfall so there are many LARGE falling branches...heads up.

I didn’t get much hiking in...maybe a mile. I’ll return with snow shoes and poles. I had it all to myself.

I completed this hike on late September and it was fairly moderate. Most beginners could reach the ledge without too much duress. The trail was fairly crowded but wasn't unbearable. This is a solid hike and is suitable for most!

Pretty solid hike with great views right around sunrise. Watch for Goats near the top portion.

Hiked 12/24/18, it was a surprisingly clear day allowing for a beautiful view. No snow at the top of the trail, but you could see some other mountains in the distance with snow caps. There’s plenty of parking, but I would recommend going in the morning if you can. The trail itself and the peak tends to get pretty crowded by noon.

Butt kicker! Thighs & glutes callin! Awesome!
The view at the top is speechless on a good clear day! One of my fav local hikes

Famous trail very well maintained. I vi to her for another mile passed the ledge viewing area. The trail keeps going for another probably 10 miles. Hopefully will have the endurance for this one day soon

Great hike, but it can be crowded.

Crowded trail, but very good hike overall
