I used to love this trail. The last time I was here to come to relax, I left the opposite of relaxed and was very unhappy. While on the trail, two different people allowed their large dogs to bolt at me, jump on me, and growl at me while their owners shouted “sorry” and practically crawled to my rescue. It was also a muddy day so needless to say, when the dogs jumped on me I had mud all over my clothes. Both times, I expressed that this wasn’t ok and to please leash the dogs, while the owners didn’t say anything to me and kept walking with their dogs unleashed. The first time this happened on my way towards the golf course, I was annoyed but thought it was a fluke since I hadn’t had this issue before. The second time this happened on the same hike and a different person I was thinking “Again? You’ve got to be kidding me.” I’m an animal lover, but this really isn’t ok. I can also see this as a huge problem for folks coming who have small children or a phobia of dogs... or who simply don’t want to have a dog charge and jump on them? Dog people - please leash your dogs here. It’s really not fair to the other hikers who are just trying to enjoy their hike.

Nice walk close to home. Great place to with the family or the dogs. Lots to explore.

Lincoln woods is a gem of a place one can feel a deep woods experience even though a major highway is always less than 2 miles away .

Excellent Sunday hiking with no crowds.

Really well marked, beautiful, and was lucky to have it all to myself while connecting the red and yellow trails. Saw a snake, it was cool.

Awesome.. easy trail.. great for walking, jogging, dogs

This trail starts at the Ponkapoag Golf Course. I liked the trail (green dot). It was mostly flat with a couple of little hills. It was very pretty and there is a spot to get close to the pond. It was exactly what I was looking for that day. Some of the signage could have been a bit better or there could have been more of it. I used AllTrails map with the GPS so I could mark our progress. I would take a picture of the display map in parking lot so you can match numbers at crossroads. Also, look for the green dots along the way to mark your route.

Quiet, very few people. Bouldery hills typical for western Rhode Island. Ledges with a picnic table at the top of one. A pretty pond. Nothing spectacular but decent.

Tried Connors Farm on a whim after doing a map-based search for what was close by, and I came away with my new favorite woods walk. I've taken my dog a couple of times now, and even on a holiday I only encountered one other party on the trail, plus some folks who were climbing the boulders close to the start of the red loop. For a relatively short set of trails, this spot has really interesting terrain and is just so pleasant to walk through. If the timing and conditions are right, there is also an amazing variety of mushrooms and fungi that grow along the trails. I live in Providence, and I highly recommend this place for a little woods refresh.

Recently got interested in foraging. Decent number of mushrooms and other funghi around. Just need to climb learning curve so I don't poison myself. Cheers!

This is a nice walk. Be careful if you plan on parking near randolph street as that parking lot is very rocky and bumpy - seen signs of people scratching their oil pan!

The boardwalk is arguably the best part, the marshland is beautiful!

Short, open, flat and wide trail. Good quick walk with dogs/kids.

When was the last time this trail was blazed? Too many unmarked trails. This could be a nice trail.

Great hike as usual. Did a little bushwack up a ledge off the Ridge Trail. Continued parallel to the Cedar Trail and noticed I was up on top of a decent ledge, looking off the east side. Check this out if you can, nice stuff!

My first time on this trail. The coordinates for directions take you to the gatehouse parking area. There is another parking area just beyond that has a center and a toilet. There is a $5 parking fee for non members. (Note: There is another route on All Trails for this set trails, called “Mega Loop” but it directs to a trail head about 10 minutes from this one that’s in a suburban cul de sac with “no parking” signs everywhere.

I did a bigger loop than indicated on this map. Starting from gate house lot, I followed yellow to Echo Pond to East West to June Pond to Ridge to Tower to Cedar Hill, then backtracked when I saw the sign that Noanet is closed to hikers with dogs. After dropping back to intersection of Ridge and Chickering, I followed red back to the parking lot. Was about 5 miles total. Nothing super challenging. Saw a few other people. The pond views are lovely.

The trail map and trails are clearly marked, and the numbered trail markers helpful.

It’s buggy and there are frequent signs warning to check for ticks.

short and sweet. needs more parking.

Great trail, as a novice I found it more moderate than easy. There were some pretty steep inclines and some narrow paths. I missed the turn for the yellow trail so ended up just doing the red loop, that was fine because it was super humid and the bugs were having a field day. I’ll come back to do the whole loop soon.

My happy place a lot of the time! Great trails and lots of friendly people.

I flipping LOVE this trail! It's so scenic and not that hilly! I would suggest bring bug spray tho. Still, it's and awesome hike for the whole family!

I would have been quite happy with 500' elevation gain, which isn't so easy to find, so when my AT summary said 600' I was pleasantly surprised! It took 4.5 miles. Perfect place to get some hill runs in.

Rocky Woods is a wonderful, quiet spot to enjoy nature - and that on the edge of a heavily settled area. I’ve explored these trails many, many times and always find it restorative.

The trail was a little difficult for me, so I’d describe it as moderate as opposed to easy. Loved the cute little white bench we encountered along the way.

This trail was pretty nice but takes so long because it's not marked at all with lots of other mini trails in and around it. l spent most of my time looking at the app and backtracking. Unless you don't mind walking around and not knowing where you're going, you will like it, lol. There are roads all around and throughout but still no clue which way to go.

Very little view of the water. Difficult to find trailhead until we realized it was off golf course entrance. Black flies were bad. Boardwalk section of trail was pretty enjoyable, despite needing repairs. Very easy hike.

A pleasant walk in the woods on an idyllic day. It’s quite surprising to find such serenity just off North St.

Beautiful spot. I went on a Tuesday afternoon. No horses - couple of mountain bikers and campers but otherwise quiet. Sunlight filtering through trees. Peaceful.
