SnowshoeingGreat!Snow

Went snowshoeing, very well defined trail. If you want more resistance it was easy to go off trail, plenty of snow and some great spots!

Very easy to follow. No trail markings but no real need for them. Not much elevation change.

Beautiful trail, with lots of shade if it is warm. We did this trail in early October, and we are fortunate to have good weather. We saw a few mountain bikers and hikers, but generally was very lightly trekked. Great hike outside of the park, and we liked that we could take our dog. Note, we saw scat and some markings on the trees, so take bear spray.

Trail was better for mountain biking and hard on the ankles. Also think we stumbled upon a grizzly resting in the woods as we heard some popping and mouth noises following by sticks breaking so we decided the closed in forest with difficult terrain would not be advisable to encounter a grizzly and survive.

We parked about a mile from the trailhead at the junction of two first roads. First mile down a dirt road to the trailhead offered beautiful views of the mountains. About 100yds from the trail we encountered a mama grizzly with cubs. She was on the dirt road, on her hind legs and showing interest in us. We skedaddled back to the car, she sort of followed for a while before diverting away. Too close for our comfort!

I took my dog on his first hike today. This is a great trail. Fields, Forest and a creek. Saw some bear scat in the trail. Very easy hike. Great spots by the creek to have a picnic.

great relatively easy and smooth trail. there is a climb getting to the top but it's worth it! my flatlander lungs handled it just fine! when you get to the top, be sure to cross the road at the camp sites to see the view from the other side.

Very quiet trail, a few mountain bikers. Beautiful views and wildflowers. 25 minutes in is a nice little stream area. Continued on to another river crossing area then turned back.

HikingGreat!

Trail was cleared very well. It was not busy but has clearly been walked many times before. Not too dusty, narrow, or rocky. Slight elevation at times but overall very pleasant and easy. We hiked this after hiking down Grand Targhee so our legs were quite tired. This was a perfect trail for a leisurely afternoon hike.

Big climb to begin with. My east coast lungs weren’t ready for it.. did the first mile up in an hour turned around and came back in 5 min. I need to work up to doing the whole thing. Beautiful views!

This is possibly a better trail to bike, hiking it took me about 9.5 miles. The view of the mountain range is amazing! I did start from the dispersed campground 12 and looped around

Beautiful views of the Grand. Easy path through lots of meadows. Has several areas you can stop off and enjoy the creek. We only did about 4 miles of this trail. There was a young black bear on the trail but it was a non-issue. Only a couple mountain bikers compared to Mill Creek trail.

Hiking

Beautiful easy hike: astonishing wildflowers, lots of butterflies, aspens and pines. (No bears that we saw.) Even when the trail is in the sun, you’re near the trees so the air is cooler. We started at 3:30 on a Saturday, and saw about 5 other hikers and 1 biker. We turned around at 2.4 miles where the trail ran right into the creek, but there were 3 other trails branching off from there. A wonderful first hike in the area.

Excellent moderate hike. Narrow trail, often grooved in the middle from mountain bike traffic. Frequent crossings of horseback tours. Plus, lots of horse . Be prepared for sore ankles. Amazing views at the top. Campgrounds and am access road also at the top.

Take trailhead to the right. One on left just goes up to a vista point. Starts flat, then climbs enough to make you work. Great views at the top, but shared with mountain bikers.

Easy, roughly 4 mile out and back trail meandering along the Teton Creek. Nice shady areas intermittently with stunning vistas. Didn’t see any bears today. Bikes and hikers with dogs. Good trail for all ages.
