This hike is easy. Well maintained trail. My kids loved the view on the top of the rocks.

Great easy hike for my friend, myself and our two dogs!

I continued up to the second and third lake. It was well worth it. The meadow above the first lake was full of wildflowers. Beautiful!

This was a great hike but it was 1.7 miles to the actual trailhead from the parking lot and after about .8 miles the snow was so deep we had to turn around. Nobody had gone beyond our turn around point... views were amazing and can’t wait to come back and do it in the summer!

Hiked 3/22, loved the forested part on the north end of the grub loop, but was still snowy! Was slipping and sliding for most of that 0.8 mile stretch, luckily had tractionwear. Potentially avoidable by taking the bonanza cut-through.

First time hiking a moderate trail. I arrived about 8:30am on a Saturday when I left around 10:15am the parking lot was full and people where parking along the road.

I am still a new hiker so I had to stop multiple times up the incline and was passed by a few people 10-15 years older than me haha .. but it's a fun challenging hike .. I even saw a few deer..

My boyfriend and I hiked this last Thursday and decided that the boot pack was good enough that we'd go without snow shoes. Mistake. We hiked for quite a while but eventually got to an area where the boot pack was non-existent and we started to sink down in waist-deep snow. We continued on for a while and tried to go up the right side of the gulch via some very slippery rock to get out of the snow, but eventually decided it was best to turn around. We LOVED this hike when we did it in the summer and would highly recommend. The lakes are spectacular.

Popular trail! Mountain bikes are welcome on the Castle Trail portion. Still muddy in some parts but no traction devices needed. Dynamic views of city/mountainside. Nice for a quick hike or trail run.

We did this trail 3/11 and it was awesome! Some icy spots but easily navigable without spikes or traxs.

Icy and muddy still in some parts but overall good views!

Iced in spots this time of year. I could have used spikes through one part. Parking is a premium. Good trail, good view of Denver, lots of hikers to say hi to.

March 3 hike was beautiful, but the last stretch towards Lower Mohawk Lake was a little too sketchy for me. Not much hard pack there. I regretfully had to turn around just after the cabin before the top, because there was nobody else around, didn’t seem very safe. Otherwise almost the entire trail and Spruce Creek Road are both super easy in boots without snowshoes. Highly recommend poles, got icy in parts especially on the way back in late afternoon.

Great views of the city. Super muddy for the pups, but a good time!

Decent hike during the winter. Drainage could be better as I was hiking on a lot of snow/mud. I suggest starting off with the Turkey Trot Trail...actually avoid the lower half of castle trail altogether...I'd just go back down Turkey Trail if you make it back at the merger. The lower half of Castle Trail that can be avoided by taking Turkey Trail and it is extremely muddy (I'm still finding a ton of sand on my dog's fur) and you have lots of less visible areas/turns if bikers come crashing through.

I kept going after it merged up with castle trail again and ended up at two dog trail and summer white house site. I'd say if you are going to choose go with Summer White House as the skyline view from two dog trail was ok.

I'm just glad construction really never started on the summer white house as Colorado would be even more crowed and that POS drump might actually come to Colorado and does the President really need a castle?

Icy in the beginning and very muddy if you bring the pups!

We snowshoed this on Saturday (1/20/18). We could have gotten away without snowshoes for the first couple miles, but they were definitely necessary after that point.

nice and easy hike. The view from the lookout was pleasant, dog friendly trail with little elevation gain.

Nice alternate to the Castle Trail.

We were here in August and it was one of the highlights of the trip. We made it to the falls and back with our 6 and 8 year old children. Gorgeous views!

Nice trail with great view of red rocks from a distance! Took about an hour thirty moving at a mild pace with 4 to 5 short stops.

We saw moose! Unbelievably beautiful and memorable trail.

Thanksgiving day hike at Turkey Trot Trail was fun! Short hike/trail run, despite of a lot of people, no parking (street parking available). Nice 68 degrees weather, totally enjoyed it!

Great hike. Easy to follow trail up until it starts becoming steep going to the first lake. I did the climb following animal tracks. Really cold and windy but it's so beautiful and quiet at the top.

Good hike with moderate incline. Great view of Red Rocks and downtown Denver. No shade coverage so would be killer hot in the summer. Very popular trail, and there were numerous people and bikers even on a Tuesday.

Would not bring someone from out of town here. Also would not recommend as a winter hike. As you get closer to the top, the trail becomes less and less apparent to nearly non-existent. Even using the tracking of this app, i fell off course several times. A large amount of what would be a trail is just Slick Ice. I only had boots, but would highly encourage additional traction of some sort. The views are beautiful but not sure the final destination of a frozen lake is worth the challenge. The trek from the parking lot to the trailhead isn’t bad, only adds about a mile. If getting away from the crowds is what you are looking for then give this one a shot. Double the amount of water you’d think to bring and definitely bring gum and something to snack on. Also, *Extremely Windy*

Very nice hike, especially considering how close to Evergreen it is. The difficulty is on the moderate side in spots on the north side of Sisters Trail. The Brother's Lookout segment is worth the time with a great view on top of the formation (plus a fun little surprise this time of year). We cut the hike short and finished by taking Ponderosa back to Sisters.

Clear driving out to Blue Lakes today and a very nice hike beyond with snow only in the valleys

Great views, Don’t bring your stroller trails extremely rocky .

Easy hike with a decent view point of Evergreen. Some incline, majority was flat. Easy quick hike for when there’s not enough time to go farther.
