Great hike! This trail is not too long with great views and some elevation thrown in. We had our kiddos (under age of 10) and the last 1/4 was uphill so it was tough for them. When we do it again, we will start at the southern most trailhead so the last leg is downhill.

Did this one yesterday. Great weather for it. Most of it in short sleeves. Some patches are icy in the beginning but enough trail dust you just have to pay attention and it went well. Bit more hazardous coming down. Great trail. Saw maybe 2 dozen people for the whole hike which is a slow day for this trail.

Nice easy hike for a Sunday afternoon. Nothing fancy but a few spots to get your heart pumping. Few icy spots at the Morrison Slide portion but no need for spikes or poles, just keep an eye out. Plenty of bikers, people, and dogs out. Good views for miles of the suburbs at the highest points. I liked it for its convenience and proximity to the city, not necessarily for the trail itself.

Trail was super easy with nice rock formation views. Takes you right around to the amphitheater if you wanted to detour and hike around the theater. Overall, easy family friendly hike.

Few icy spots today, but you should be fine even without spikes or poles. Always a lovely trail!

Very easy, beautiful scenery, and a popular trail for all ages. Sometimes you even see deer or other little critters.
I highly recommend this trail!

Very fun and easy, but definitely not wheelchair accessible!!!

Nice hike, aptly named. Very easy at first with only substantial elevation gain before the top. A bit of snow and ice for the first third of a mile, but didn't need any traction. Definitely a nice little hike

Pretty easy trail close to Denver. Easy to follow and stay on. Quick loop that’s close to home. It was very slick and icy when I went the day after thanksgiving.

Great hike, not too strenuous. If there is snow at the base of the trail, you might want to consider some good footwear, poles and some crampons. The trail can get quite slippery when going downhill, with risk of falling into the adjacent creek. It gets better after about 0.5 miles from the parking lot.

Hardpacked ice about halfway and the rest of the way up. Micro spikes and poles .

The north side of the trail is pretty icy and slippery right now, but overall fun trail

Nice trail close to the city with great views of Red Rocks and surrounding areas. Some parts of trail are snow covered.

Lovely nature walk close to Denver. The view at the top is legit and would work well to satisfy the average out of town guest. No snow on the trail today.

Great little hike! I did the loop and finished in about 1 hour and 45 min. I am new to hiking, so I tend to take it nice and slow! The first .5 miles is pretty steep in parts and gets your heart pumping, but then gives in to a more gradual incline until the top. Once at the top you can choose to continue on the Castle Trail that loops you back to the parking lot. This trail is shared with mountain bikes, there weren't too many on it today and everyone was courteous with passing. The parking lot was full when I got done with my hike, so glad I got there early! Good trail for the pooches too!

Perfect for a light stroll with the pup

very rocky, lots of ups and some droppffs. overall good trail and quite the workout!

We parked near the entrance to the amphitheater and came down the stairs on the right hand side and out to the trailhead. The sandstone rocks are incredible and are definitely the best part of the trek. The hike itself is fairly easy and the trail is pretty wide most of the way. If you’re visiting the amphitheater, go ahead and do this one.

Wonderful trail - very runnable, lots of parking, clearly marked

Good short hike, great for dogs

wow! just stunning! this trail itself doesn't run through the amphitheatre but if you veer off this trail, the amphitheatre is a short walk away. I am sort of a geological nerd so these rock formations had my jaw on the floor. such a wild and beautiful place! even in October, make sure you have plenty of water.

Nice early morning hike before the sun got too hike. Lots of parking and easy trails.

Nice loop that will get your blood pumping. Not too strenuous though. Great views of red rocks

It’s the best trail...I love it I took my dogs and kids on it they also loved it.. its a good way to spend time with your family

Fine little walk around the rock formations. Can get pretty crowded.

Perfect weather and unique rock formations

Decent trail for city dwellers

Pretty chill with good views and some nice terrain variations. Relaxed and quick trip outside Denver.

This is the most popular hike in Red Rocks and it is obvious why. The hike is not strenuous at all and the views of the rock formations and your proximity to them is great. Well worth the trip and great for families.
