Better trail than David English with great scenery and variety only marginally marred by extensive bike rutting and not enough foot traffic in several of the grassy crossings.

This trail is pretty good but not great. Firstly this is actually part of White Clay park and thus hase several different trails. As of writing this the trail was listed as lightly trafficked which is incorrect. This trail is a pretty popular mountain biking area. This is not a trail if you are looking for peace and solitude. There is an airport nearby and you can hear traffic and people on adjacent paths talking.

Many bikers are polite but I have heard bikers complaining about walkers on the path and some bikers seem to feel entitled and want you to move for them. Since this is primarily a bike path the trails can be very thin.

Easy hiking but beautiful trail

I love Cape Henlopen, it has to be the coolest place you can camp. Even though its a small state park, you’re right by the beach. So you can camp and walk over the dunes and you’re at the beach in 10mins. Its so peaceful at night with the wind, crickets, and the sound of the waves. And you can always find a camp ground year round.

nice trail leads to the beach that alone makes it 5 stars. easy to walk ride or walk your dog.

Excellently marked well groomed trail awesome

and also add another mile and a half from the end of the gordens pond trail to the center of town in rehobeth. I'm in Cape May and we're on this trail all the time, if you don't have a bike there is a bike rental right at the ferry terminal in lewes, you can find buy one get one free walk-on coupons to the ferry sometimes but if not it's $18 per person round trip, with or without a bike, If the round about distance of 8+ miles, one way from the ferry to rehobeth seems too much just do a day trip to Lewes, just take a right when you get off the boat and go to Lewes, it's about a mile each way, very do-able even for a novice and there are plenty of places to eat, cocktail and shop, a great day trip either way you go! and I'll just throw this in, if you like Mexican you have to eat at Agave in lewes, some of the best mexican food and margaritas ever, anywhere! I kid you not!

it's a great ride! if your coming off the ferry add about a mile and a half to the actual trail distance, very well maintained trails, takes you just about to the main drag in rehobeth,

First time here and I have to say it was a nice experience. Dog friendly and easy for children to hike. I took my 7 year old son and he loved it !!! He did end up a little tired but he managed to get through. The waterfall was our favorite part

Rolling hills, wildflowers and birds, woods and fields. I was charmed by this hike. We ended up going off the trail that the map here shows, but ended up completing a 5.8 mile loop, using the app. We had to Ford a stream. It was muddy and a little buggy. Still, gorgeous and a pastoral delight. I will definitely be back. Note: there are a lot of small offshoot trail. It was confusing, even with the map downloaded. Luckily, there is pretty good cell reception on this trail, so we were able to record our movements and figure out where we were.

I love this trail. It is poorly marked in a few spots. The wooded sections are cool and scenic. It is an awesome way to tour the largest pond in Delaware!

Really nicely marked trails. Fun run

Nice trail, shaded about 90% of the way. Could be better marked in spots. Flat most of the way, with a fair number of tree roots to navigate. Good trail for beginner mountain bikers.

Awesome waterfall along the way! Easy to walk and dog friendly! It was hard to find parking close so you will have to do a little extra walking. My friend and I had a great time!

We enjoyed the lovely scenery and challenging elevation. Even though it was shorter than we usually hike, we both got a good workout. If you want to get a nice view of the waterfall you will need to take about a .2 mile detour, but well worth the extra steps.

this is my go to trail. its easy enough to walk, but can be jogged on quite comfortably in most places.

My husband and I just rode this trail 2 times this weekend. We recommend bringing your own bike or renting from Atlantic cycles in Rehobeth for the ride. They have great prices and nice bikes! This trail will definitely give you a nice workout! Beautiful trail!

Hilly, very bucolic. You spend about equal time in the middle of a forest and in bucolic scenery with pastured horses, corn fields and small farm houses. Fairly heavily traveled, we saw one group of horseback riders, several (3-4) individual mountain bikers, a couple trail runners and a few other hikers- though it is a beautiful Saturday. While not well marked, it is pretty easy to figure out where to go. I parked at 289 Ramsey Rd, Wilmington, DE 19803 ("Woodlawn Parking Lot"), and crossed the road to make it a longer hike. Hilly but not challenging, but a lot of sun due to infrequent forest coverage. Don't think I will do it again, but am not displeased with the experience.

This is a well marked path that is shared with cyclists too. It goes past several World War II structures and offers a lot of variety in terrain. Don't forget your bug spray!

We have walked here and biked several times. The biking was a little rough as the trail up is hard and many people to avoid and pass. We walk here a lot and go sit by the water. It’s a nice safe peaceful walk. The construction has the parking messed up but it’s worth a trip very nice

Well marked highpoint. Its in the middle of a neighborhood so parking is hard to find in the area. USGS marker is also not easy to find. Best way to find it is to just continue towards th firetower after you get to the official sign designating the high point (its hidden in the dirt). In general, people around the area are very nice and are willing to help you if you're lost

Such pretty scenery.

This trail is very hilly but beautiful. I recommend bringing water because it is challenging. It is a nice workout and over all a nice trail.

Nice trail. Very little elevation change. At the Henlopan side, there is a very good raised deck trail, which is almost 1/2 mile long. Saw some birds and a Red Fox! Some benches are placed at various intervals. Do beware on the two observation platforms, there are wooden stops across them. There is an elevation change on both sides. On one of them, this is not obvious.

While the trail was a little shorter than I would have liked, I enjoyed the elevation (according to my iPhone, the path elevation is about that of 11 stories) and it still took about 2 hours to hike the whole thing (that was with a lot of pauses for water and rest for my old dog). I loved that I couldn’t hear any traffic (something that I look for in a good trail) and that water crossed the path several times. It was really clean, too! The small valleys covered in little yellow flowers with a perfect spread of trees and a great combination of shade and sunlight was the topping on the cake!
