Great hike on a day when the weather man said “don’t go outside unless you have to”. Trail was a bit muddy after yesterday’s continuous rain and temp hovered around 28, but all went well. Hard to get lost on this simple loop.

overall very fast trail to run at one point ur ankles are tested pretty good as there is no level ground for 100 yds and it is shy of 6 miles not 6.5 if leaving from parking lot wet shoes will happen

Awesome hike beautiful scenery, would do it again

Great trail I was slightly concerned when we started out because it is on a road but after about a quarter-mile or so you turn and go into a real hiking trail and it is beautiful after that.

This trail starts out okay but about 2 miles in the trail gets spotty. It’s marked decently enough but at some points you really have to look. I used the gps and map of the trail to stay on track.

Trail was beautiful and somewhat challenging. It basically parallels a creek on both sides. there are stretches where you are doing some climbing. there are a couple of smaller creek crossings. I would recommend for anyone looking for a moderately challenging, well-marked hike.

Great day hike. We took the right side of the loop to start. Up hill a good bit at the start and at the finish but the middle is flat/gentle grade. There is 1 place where there is a slight confusion about the trail direction (about 3/4 way around if starting from the right) there is now a log blocking it with a stick straight up the middle. The trail goes to the right at that point and is much narrower. No trail blaze marks at the turn.

Beautiful trail.

The trail is beautiful, but is poorly marked in places. But, overall, an amazing photography trail!

STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL!! You can cross a tree to a small island about halfway through the loop. However, POORLY marked trail. Difficult to know which was beginning and end without this app and it’s GPS.

Well maintained trail. Chose to go counter clockwise and enjoyed the views. A lot of little water crossings. Missed a turn on the back end and ended up on what looked like an old trail. Wasn’t too far into it before it got pretty rough and I turned around to find the turn I missed. All in all a great warm day for a hike.

Loop route takes back on the road the last 3 miles. Rest of Trail is great. Parts of Trail need some clean up.

Well kept trail for the most part. There is one area that wasn’t well marked, but otherwise great!

Nice hike!

Very nice 4.5 mile loop trail that follows along the shoreline for a good bit. Beautiful scenery and great trail to observe wildlife inside the park.

Love this trail! It’s perfect for a day hike. Dog, family and beginner friendly.

This trail was beautiful! I’m not an experienced hikers and so this was a little hard for me at times. But I got through it! The part along the river was so peaceful and amazing. It is not marked very well but the map helped a lot if I lost track of the obvious foot trail. Also when you go off trail to view the river someone marked that for you:). Definitely recommend! Also you need a land pass which you can purchase online.

why can't dogs on leashes use these trails

A beautiful waterfall with a short walk along the river.

I enjoying hiking this with my dogs still looking for this purple trail but the perimeter trail is a wonderful workout and in the fall there is very little traffic

Great easy place to take a small stroll. The falls are great and it’s worth the stop.

Absolutely fantastic trail! Quiet, peaceful, and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect. We took our 6 yo Weimaraner and 12 1/2 yo Yellow Lab, and they loved it. We couldn’t go as far as we wanted because our Lab has arthritis, but she still did great for the 2 miles we accomplished. We will definitely be coming back soon!

Great trail! Hike about a half mile before you have the option to go right or left. I went left and it was great. You can go either way since it’s a loop and you see the same stuff. The trail is marked with almost a neon green paint on the trees. It’s not like every other tree sometimes you can go a quarter mile or longer before you see a marking. But it is pretty obvious which way to go. I also had service the entire trail so i was able to open this app and check the trail and see where i was at with the GPS. Watch out for bikers- especially if you have a dog off-leash. I’d either keep it on leash or just make sure the dog knows to move out of the way. There’s a nice creek that is there for probably about half of the trail that is easy to get to.
The trail was wide for a decent amount of it, wide enough to hike 2x2. Some areas it’s skinner so it’s 1x1. But none of the trail was washed out or dangerous. I hiked with my dog and we had no issues. The uphills are pretty gradual nothing crazy steep. Pretty easy.

This trail was great! I loved how you can get off the beaten path and see the river! Definitely recommend.

Moderate trail great in the fall or winter. A lot of bugs during the summer months. From the parking lot take Rock trail on the other side of blocked road barrier. Stay to the left on grassy downhill open field. Great views of rapids on your left. It will loop back to the parking lot

Beautiful hike

great trail! beautiful with the changing leaves. perfect length for a day hike.

Its a Good Trail. When you leave the parking area. Stay to the left, its a loop trail. Takes you down and along the river. Then its a trek uphill on your way back. Enjoy!
