Trails are wide and clean. Beautiful location.

I don’t see how everyone else reviewed this as easy? My sister and I did this one this weekend and it was a challenging trail, lots of climbing etc. unless we started somewhere differently LOL. Loved the trail and scenery though. Was a great hike!

hiked this today with my 5 & 3 year old sons. They loved it and so did I. We hiked in some lunch and ate at the lookout. Overall it was a great day!!

Kid friendly, many side trails. the trail is marked periodically, but the main trail is pretty worn and easy to follow. When you come to a 3-way: left goes to towers at the top, middle and right go to beautiful overlook! It doesn't take long to complete the trail!

We never came across the falls. Trails are not marked. Kids enjoyed playing on the rocks in the river. Good place to stop if you are already in the area. Nice park with playground, ball field, and volleyball.

A well-manicured and often over-populated trail to a stepped falls. Not as impactful as High Falls, but a nice easy hike for families. Go early in the day or late to avoid the masses.

The dam was really cool and the streams were nice but once you reached a point everything was pretty flat and absolutely no views of anything. I would definitely recommend other hikes in the area over this one.

6 year old, 3 year old and I hiked the trail and had an awesome time. Some good steep hills but my 3 year old did fine.

Pretty trail. Easy to follow and very well marked. Wish we could see the bottom of the waterfall. Definitely pretty challenging once you are done descending.

Easy trail and with a sweet little falls that empties into a pool of water before it rushes out into a rather loud fast flowing river.

Absolutely breath taking! Very easy and short hike to get to the falls. You can sit on the rocks at the second level and enjoy the view. Would highly recommend!

Roadside waterfalls, very nice. Be careful, many people have gotten hurt or lost their lives climbing on the falls. There is always a guy parked here selling boiled peanuts!! The trail continues beyond the roadside waterfalls to another upper falls, nice hike, very easy.

Wonderful walk

Great park for easy hiking and viewing waterfalls. We take our pig for a walk here and love visiting City Scape Winery and Happy Cow Creamery nearby!

Great trail!!!

Heavily trafficked city park. Nicest looking spot is the nature trail entrance, but it’s so crowded you can’t enjoy anything. Parking area is ridiculous; don’t expect your car to not be hit by someone who can’t navigate small areas. If you go on hikes for nature and solitude, do yourself a favor and skip this one.

Beautiful, quick, and easy. Care should be taken near Upper Wildcat Falls, many deaths have occurred here due to falls. Nothing all that dangerous in general, it’s just and easily accessible waterfall that looks safe to climb; not a great mix.

End was kinda boring but the beginning of the trail has beautiful streams :). Would go again.

Beautiful views of the water.

really good app

Started at the dam entrance. I walked half the nature trail and came back via the forest trail. Lots of scenic photography shots. Can't wait until the spring.

Enjoyed the park. It was really pretty and it’s great for anyone. Only negative was there seemed to be a lot of trash around the falls. A clean-up in the area was needed.

First, my review is from the perspective of an amateur landscape photographer

Second, the trail itself is easy to find, well maintained, generally dry and free of obstructions such as roots and rocks. The trail is not marked but even a novice can stay on it. All the trail junctions are posted and point to major landmarks.

Third, most of the trail is typical eastern US forest and is nothing special, with the exception of the two waterfalls, Triple and High. I feel the Triple has the better composition potential. Make sure you take the stairs down to the creek. On the “con” side the falls are open, not shaded and you are shooting into the sun. Try to visit on an overcast day to reduce the extremes in contrast.

If you want to save some time and effort just do Triple Falls and bypass High. But if you also want to do High then you may also want to take the Covered Bridge Trail. At just 0.2 miles (one way) it’s worth seeing.

on Brissy Ridge

Well-maintained, easy to navigate. Most of the trail is pretty moderate, with steep climbs at the end of the trail. I hopped off on the Kanuga trail, looped around the reservoir, and took the Pipsissewa trail to get back to Brissy Ridge. These trails were far less crowded, had some decent views since all the leaves were off the trees, and added a few more ascents and descents on the hike.

Beautiful hike. Tons of water features. Can’t wait to go back. Portions of the trail are not suitable for small dogs. We had to carry our pups!

Great hike!!

on Triple Falls Trail

If we’d done this trail under normal circumstances, I’d probably have rated it a 4. What made it great was that we arrived early on a Sunday morning in January, when it was 17 degrees, so we basically had the trail to ourselves. (A spirited walk warms you up quickly!) The most impressive spectacle was at the base of High Falls, where the mist from the falls turned the adjacent trees and brush into a frosty winter wonderland. We stood at the water’s edge for quite awhile, watching a heron hunt from a rock in the middle of the river. Super cool.

Sunny, windy winter hike at 39 degrees. The Brissy Ridge Trail is easy until the last twenty minutes when you reach several steep ascents (hiking trail clockwise). My dog and I enjoy the cardio, so it was a nice surprise at the end. The trail is a little rooty in some areas, otherwise, a clear trail. I give it four stars because there isn't a spectacular view of any kind.
