Beautiful BUT: The Lake is now drained. There's only little water left. no more waterfall, and compared to a month ago most of the wildflowers are now gone.
Still a nice walk/hike, would suggest going later in the day as it gets crowded in the morning.

I made it halfway up Timberline Falls, but after seeing 2 gals above me slip and get hurt climbing the wet boulders I decided to stop and enjoy hiking another day. Kudos to those brave climbers. Still a great challenging hike with amazing views! I will enjoy the photos of those that made it to Sky Pond

I ended up hiking to the top of Bergen Peak. Definitely worth it to do that. It’s a long hike, but I wouldn’t characterize it as “Hard.” It’s a long moderate. Like many trails in Evergreen, alternations between rocky-narrow paths, forest paths, pretty summits, scenic views, aspens, and lovely wildflowers, especially by the meadows. But I was a bit bummed that I heard the cars on the highway almost the whole time. I tuned it out, and a few times amidst the aspens it was truly quiet. But that’s why I give four stars. Sometimes some mountain bikers come barreling down, and you’ve really got to have your wits about you. But otherwise, the views, the thick smell of pine all along the way, and the serenity of the hike, even on a Saturday morning, is why I live out here :)

Great little hike. Got there at 830 ish and had to park further away.

Beautiful stream and gorgeous lake

Did this hike with wife and kids (2 and 5), had hiking child carriers.

I’m honestly hesitant to give this a review because of how good it is. This is a hidden gem (from tourism) and perfect alternative to the emerald lake, dream lake, lily lake, etc. It’s also not only easy, but a great duration. I suggest an evening hike for the sunset at Lake Isabelle, absolutely incredible. Check weather though for any afternoon hikes, always.

Good hike. Would like to crest the peak next time

This trail was gorgeous but we went on a Wednesday and it was extremely busy. It was a pretty easy trail for an amazing view.

I love this trail. beautiful views, not too far from golden.

Best hike in Colorado! Beautiful views and an easy hike without a lot of elevation gain

Beautiful. Well-marked hike.

BEAUTIFUL! Really easy hike and great for dogs, took mine and he had an easy time going on the trail

Highly recommended views were amazing. The trail is very well maintained. So beautiful!

Lake Isabelle did not disappoint, we saw a moose! Hike is mostly easy- towards the end I might describe as moderate. Take extra water- the altitude bothered me a bit. I also think that from 10am onwards some of the early birds are leaving because several parking spots opened up.

This is such a beautiful hike. Definitely one of my favorites in Colorado so far. I recommend going early as the parking lots fill quickly.

As an avid hiker, I have to admit that I had my doubts when reading reviews that said “best or one of the best hikes”. However, I have to agree. This hike is amazing and perfect for the whole family. We got there fairly early (6:30ish), but parking at trailhead was already full so we had to park at Brainard Lake, which was also filling up quickly. But the little distance it adds is no big deal. Lots of beautiful wildflowers, gorgeous views, waterfalls, marmots and we saw 2 big bull moose at the first lake you pass. The only negative about this hike is the popularity of it; if I’ll do it again, I would make sure to be there earlier. (On a side note, if you own a National Park Pass, bring it. Mine was safely at home, because I thought it was $11 cash only)

It is beautiful up there today! We got to the full parking lot at 7:30, we stayed and waited for good half hour to park and it was rainy so waiting in the car was no big deal. The sun came out about 8:30 and it was glorious! This hike is easy and fun. You can’t beat the scenery! I would do it again!

The trails are well marked and beautiful scenery. This is one of my favorite trails to go on. However, I would suggest to get there early as the parking lot gets full & it’s a very popular hike.

Our favorite family hike in Colorado... Isabelle has everything, from the verdant lake at the beginning and end, the gentle climbing with boulders and a rushing creek for taking breaks, waterfalls, bridges, and a serious climb just before Lake Isabelle, where you can stop for snacks while looking at Isabelle Glacier. Not great for anyone with bad knees, but awesome for families with kids of all ages and dogs, too. We saw several backpackers who had been camping at the glacier and they said the entire trail was now passable. We all agreed this is a “moderate” difficulty trail, but so worth it.

As a Colorado native and avid hiker, I can honestly say this is the best hike I’ve ever been on! Had to park at Brainard lake (lake Isabelle parking lot is small and fills up quickly) but was not a problem at all. It only added a mile or two to the entire hike. Most hikes are pretty with a nice view at the end, but this was absolutely breathtaking every step of the way. I’ve never seen so many wildflowers in one place before. Also, I’d rate this as moderate, not easy, due to some incline/rocky areas. I’ll be back again!!

Easy terrain. Beautiful hike with lots of options from short to long hike. Parking is tough. Parked at Brainard Lake and took Niwot to lakes. Marshy/wet at times. $11 entry fee

Very pretty and very busy

Such a beautiful trail! Short and sweet. We did 5 miles total by looping the long lake rather than doing and in and out. So many wildflowers!

Absolutely beautiful trail. Well kept . Peaceful . Gorgeous. Lots of wildflowers. Lots of lakes. Mountain View’s!! At the top of lake Isabelle. Wow!!! Incredible view. Partner and I sat on the rock and had a small picnic before descending back down. Waterfall at the top as well. Not very hard at all.

Headed out about 5 pm on a Sunday. Saw a few hikers but mostly on our own. My 2nd hike since moving here and really enjoyed it. Was a little leery of the moderate label, but it wasn’t too much - although steady incline throughout and definitely a workout for me. We hiked to Greenfield Meadow and back. Would’ve been perfect if the stream had water, but still a nice peaceful hike. Will do this one again.

Amazing hike! One of the prettiest ones I’ve been on. Multiple lakes and Lake Isabelle is so beautiful. Highly recommend. The parking lot at the trail head fills up quickly so either get there early or park at the big lot (will add a mile to your hike).

$11 day pass or get the National Park Pass ahead of time. It was 7 miles round trip from the big park lot by Brainard Lake.

Beautiful! Have to get there early or you will wait in line forever. Would say this is more of a moderate hike but still very much so worth it! Loved seeing the waterfall and the lake

Beautiful hike to a gorgeous lake with an awesome view of the not so distant mountains. Nice waterfall on the way. Continued on towards Pawnee Pass.

Great (easier) hike for great views, awesome trail to take those not quite used to elevation. Lake was full and waterfall was running — amazing to walk over to the edge of the lake. If you are unable to park at the trailhead, you can park at the main parking lot, which adds about a mile each way.

One of the best hikes I have been on. Beautiful scenery everywhere you are with a waterfall and wild flowers everywhere. When we were at the glacier it was sunny and then the storm came in and had fog Really fun

Best hike I’ve ever been on! It’s easy, STUNNING, and the views are endless. The trail itself is really well kept, pretty heavily trafficked but nothing too bad, I’d avoid it on the weekend. Parking is a little tricky, but if you park in the main lot, there’s an entrance to the glacier trail about half a mile away. You might get lucky at the main lots if you get there by 7. Definitely a must do if you’re visiting the area or a local. 10/10.
