Beautiful! Muddy, so bring three right shoes. No complaints from me on a sunny day!

Great place one of the best on the coast. You can take the very easy level hike or a nice big crazy one.
The view is amazing.

What a great hike! This trail was everything we had hoped for. We had a beautiful sunny day today. A little muddy especially for the first 1.5 mile or so, but well worth the mud and the effort! Not too easy, but not too hard, and the views once you get to the meadow are amazing! It was about 5.5 miles from the parking lot to the top and it’s uphill most of the way there. I highly recommend this trail, you won’t be disappointed! Wear hiking boots if you have them.

Nice easy trail (little muddy in spots). Appreciated the suspension bridge and the waterfall.

Holy cow! What a beautiful hike. The suspension bridge was amazing! Falls were absolutely stunning!

Did the trail with 4 adults & 5 young kids. So fun. About an hour to there and and hour back. Beautiful perfect family outing. $5 day use parking fee. Don’t be fooled by long country road, this is a heavily used trail. Might want to come early so you can find parking.

The water fall was really pretty and the view from the suspension bridge But this place gets SUPER crowded after a certain time so try to go as EARLY as possible because it just gets annoying when the crowd piles up.

My first hike. I’m not in great shape and found this trail to be relatively easy. Beautiful, peaceful, and perfect weather. Wasn’t busy on the Monday afternoon we went.

great hike. best to go early before everyone shows up

Great snowshoeing trail. Really pretty along the creek. Trail is pretty well groomed for snowshoeing.

The view is incredible the way to the view not so much!

Very muddy (but very beautiful!) Saw whales and various birds

We went in early January and it was sunny and no wind! The trail was a little muddy here and there, probably due to recent rains, but overall was easy to hike. The views are incredible! Kind of a bummer that you have to walk alongside the road for the first stretch of the trail, due to the trailhead being a short distance from the parking lot. Great hike though, will continue to make this trip!

easy trail, beautiful scenery, the suspension bridge and waterfall combo is cool as shit.

Enjoyed this simple hike to a lovely bridge overlooking the waterfall. I loved the green forest trail along the way as well. As a photographer, I got some great shots. Was wet and muddy but beautiful. Will be back.

Although it was super muddy, the views were spectacular! I also liked the fact my Honda Civic could make it to the trail head. Easy to find and the trail was well marked.

It was pretty muddy but WELL worth the hike! It’s a quick trip up and you descend even quicker. My family, including a 5 year old knocked this out in about 90 minutes total. Oh, and the view is spectacular! We all loved it.

Amazing trail

Amazing views! Very muddy is right. It was SO DANG COLD the day we went, there was still a nice dusting of snow up there! The elk were wayyyy on the side of the hill so you could only see them from far away. Still SO amazing. Need to come back and do Hart's Cove when it's available. Decent elevation climb but a few sets of kids came FLYING by so they were having no problems haha.

The trail winds through the forest. With an amazing view of the waterfall from the suspension bridge and then the trail ends with a nice view from the other side. There are some rock that will take you close to the waterfall as well.

Great trail, winds through a beautiful part of the coastal forest. Trail is well marked and even though it was muddy it was a great time.

This trail has a lot to it in its short mileage: The trail winds down from the trailhead through classic, coastal conifer forest. The largest challenge, for some, is the suspension footbridge spanning the canyon in which the Fall dumps into. Partner and I had a lot of fun with photos and movement on that wiggly bridge! The bridge does offer an atypical, elevated perspective of the Fall. Then the trail switchbacked down into the canyon to put hikers at the riverside. Hiked this one in December and it was wet but I have no regrets. That's Oregon for ya!

This is a great hike for the family. We did this hike with a 3 and a 4 year old and they did great. The trail is very clear and well maintained until about half way when you start to hit the switchbacks. At this point it gets muddy and there are tons of tree roots. The trees on this hike a huge and grow in all kinds of crazy shapes. At the beginning there is a fallen tree that made a cave under the roots that the kids love. There are a few trees that have "tunnels" under them that are fun to play in.
There are lookouts along the path that allow you to look back to the beach and look down several hundred feet to the ocean. Great hike. Great views. And the plus is that it is close to the Tillamook Cheese Factory were after a long hike you can stuff your face with free cheese and get some ice cream.
I am not sure about the actual trail length. Alltrails.com says that it is 4.6 miles round trip, the trailhead sign says that it is 2.8 miles each way (5.6 miles total), and my GPS says that it was 6.5 miles round trip. Not sure which is right, but either way it was fun.

Fun. Family friendly. Beautiful. A nice stroll in the woods. Exceptionally busy.

Easy hike down, not so bad coming up.

Great hike! It’s a doozy in the winter months, be prepared to get muddy. I wouldn’t recommend small children. Lots of exposed roots which were great while it was wet and muddy, helped with my footing. The view at the end of Cape Trail is breathtaking! I’d love to go back and hike the North and South trail!

One of the best coastal trails we have! Easy five-ish mile out and back with a some elevation gain, which you'll feel most on the way back to the trailhead. Expect to get muddy even in summer, especially in winter, and the views are well worth it. The trail is well maintained but not level and in many places tree roots are both a blessing and a curse. Great place to view sea birds as well as ospreys, bald eagles, and an occasional peregrine falcon. Excellent place for whale migration observation in late December and again in mid-March. Good and interesting hike for kiddos who can go the distance. Plenty of people bring their doggos but if your dog doesn't like heights, other dogs, of standing on a cliff near other dogs at the same time, maybe best to leave them home. Also, PLEASE LEAVE THE TRILLIUM ON THEIR STEMS which begin to bloom in February. Picking the flower can irreparably damage the entire plant, requiring years to recover before being able to bloom again. Please help protect them. :)

Scenic, good workout and the trail is muddy.

Beautiful hike down. Only saw one other group on the trail when I went on a Saturday in January. It was muddy, but that is expected on a hike in winter in Oregon. Be sure to pace yourself. It’s easy to zoom on down and walk a couple of miles down the beach before you remember you have to the the switchbacks back up :)
