Great little hike. Wish the old sawmill was better protected and cleaned up.(spray paint...) but still very neat to see.

Hiked this trail many times!! So many memories here!! Beautiful hike and just about anyone can do it!!

Great trail, absolutely beautiful in many places. My only complaint is that it is not well marked at all. Trying to find it was difficult as was staying on the right path at times. Worth doing many times over!

Cute little trail. Go during week to have it all to yourself!

A group of us GOATS ran distances of 4-11 miles with a couple of them still running the last we saw them.

This may be the prettiest Texas trail I have ever walked. it runs alongside a beautiful creek for most of it. and the water is some of the cleanest I have seen in Texas. ive hiked in colorado so anything in texas is easy to me, but I may call this trail moderate for some. its a very fun and pretty hike. the sawmill ruin is also fascinating to see. too bad it has graffiti all over it. I plan on coming back and camping here!

I absolutely loved it here. Clear, clean, drinkable, sweet, spring water! My kids swam here and loved it. It was hard finding the marked trail, but there is one. You can get lost here so be careful, but follow the water and you should be fine. You can kayak here as well as camp and depending on where you are, fishing is also an option. Make sure to go up the mountain on a full tank. Nearest gas station is a 15 min drive away depending on what side of the mountain you are on. The view is beautiful and so serene.

fun little trail and the saw Mill is cool looking

Hiked trail in about 3 hours. Wasn't marked well at all. Loved hearing the chimes and monkeys, I think that was the highlights of the trail. Clocked 9.06 miles.

A great little set of trails packed into a beautiful little park. Some of the best east Texas has to offer.

The full 9.8 mile loop is a moderate challenge, but the trail is kept up well with the occasional fallen branches that cross the trail. The trail is well marked with reflectors for each of the different trails that are available. White Oak State Park is nice and offers other activities and amenities which is great if you are with a family or have a day to spend there.

Love that this trail is close to home. Started today but to hot to finish. Easy trail. Lots of beautiful woods and a wonderful view of the lake for part of it. The part I went on was clean and clearly marked.

Started the trail at 9:00 finish at 11:00. The first section is very confusing. Got turned around several times. The trail is marked, however not very well. I’m not sure how many miles I lost in the first section, definitely rode the same section multiple times before realizing I was going in a circle. The AllTrails app shows 6.5 miles. Definitely longer than that. The last mile marker I saw was 7.5, I road for at least another 30 minutes before returning to the starting point. I also took a short cut following the road back. The trail continued through the woods so not sure exactly how long the trail is.

I never get tired of it! Easy trail and great views.

Great trail for any hiker. Short trail with beautiful views.

Started at 8am and finished around 11. I clocked in right at 6 miles. It winds through thick woods with plenty of shade. The first 2 miles are very confusing. I constantly referred to the AllTrails map (Be sure to download it. No signal out there). The trail is very poorly marked, with a ton of forks. I pretty much stuck to the red mountain bike markers for the most part. I think there are a lot of bike loops that add to the trail, but if you pay attention to your map, you can bypass them.

There’s a great spot overlooking pond to throw up that Eno for a break. It’s part of a Chimpanzee refuge, so you can hear the chimps going nuts in the distance.

It’s mainly a mountain biking trail, so be sure to look out for those guys. Overall it’s a great trail considering that there aren’t many in this area.

This trail would be 5 stars if it was clearly marked. Multiple unlabeled forks in the trails and the cell signal is really bad out there. I realized I was lost about 2 miles in, and switched to follow the horseback trail (since THAT is clearly marked) in hopes of finding my way back to the car. It worked, and I ended up with a nice 5 mile hike still. The two cycling/hike trails cross over each other and the horseback trail multiple times, and they aren’t marked in a way that you can tell you are going the right direction for a loop.

Well, the first loop of the trail is fun with quick ups and downs getting my blood pumping; tried to cross over the road and navigate the other 2 loops but too overgrown for my taste this time of year. However, road biked over the dam... pretty views and stumbled upon a 0.5 mi paved nature trail (by the shooting range) that nature seems to be reclaiming. Overall, was pleasant and quiet for a Saturday morning.
I’ll try again when it’s not prime tick season.

Great trail, great camping area. Easy.

Very picturesque and quiet trail. The smell of pine trees is worth the visit alone. There are more trails here than on this app and the State Park App. They have added more.

Great hike but lower part of trail impassible due to flooding from Neches river. Still good for a 2 and a half hour hike. Lots of creeks and little ravines to cross. Lots of fallen trees across the trail. Trail runs along a creek with fast running water and white sand banks. Water looks pretty clear and cool. You really have to keep an eye out for the little yellow squares that mark the trail. Beginning of the trail to the left across the grass field from the shelter and restrooms... where it crosses a creek. Pretty hard to do without getting your feet and shoes wet. Mine got soaked on the way back. I would definitely do this trail again.

I love visiting this small, peaceful state park located along the northern end of the Davy Crockett National Forest. I've enjoyed hiking here in the spring and summer. The trails are well marked and easy to follow. On my hike today it was still lovely despite a recent controlled burn. The dogwoods were blooming and there were lots of birds, butterflies and dragonflies. There are interesting historical features as well making it a great place to hike. I also appreciate that the bathrooms are always very clean.

What a great Hike! Water runs next to most of the trail. I wouldn't rate it as easy though. Lots of ravines to go through - which was fun, but challenging.

Beautiful scenery. Beaver dam and natural spring. Path was pretty wet which slowed us down a bit.
