Bring your ice cleats this time of year...

Great day hike. Dog friendly. it is a steady climb the whole way. Good shoes and plenty of water is a good idea.

Great hike with awesome views. This was a good alternative to Frary Peak.

I absolutely love this trail it is one of my favorites, but it is really hard but totally worth it!

Great hike! I didn’t think it was as difficult as it was rated! Nice and dry try most the way up!!

Fun little hike with 4 kids ages 10 to 17. Scenic views of the great Salt Lake. Saw plenty of bison. No bugs in February! Took about 1 hour and 45 minutes round trip.

Awesome trail! Lots of different small trails to take around the mountains/falls. If I could give it 6 stars I would!

My absolute favorite trail!

1-11-18 do not even try without spikes! Stop at Gear:30 in Ogden for some spikes!

Decent place to walk a dog or take in views of Bountiful McMansions. The destination is a medium sized boulder with a view of the oil refinery. Also busy. Mountain bikers year round.

Great winter hike. It's not much of a workout but it's beautiful, especially in the winter because there's almost no people on the trail.

It's not as hard as they make it out to be once you ascend into the canyon. The waterfall is beautiful and the trail is nice, the only reason I don't rate it 5 stars is for the crowds that are common. Still a favorite

Other than the weekend crowds this is a wonderful trail!

Fun quick trail!

Great views, but busy. Don’t go Tuesday mornings around 6am or you’ll run into about 45 high school kids from several local mountain biking clubs on the trail.

This is a great hike!

this is my go to hike to get a good workout and get out of my head. was stunning with the changing leaves. now it's definitely naked unless you get up higher. fairly busy on the lower half. seems like most only make it to the first stream. once you pass the big falls farther up I rarely run into anyone. I always take my German Shepard pup with me and meet lots of friendly doggos on the way. we can pound this trail out in under 2 hours with lots of sidetrack exploring.

my favorite trail ♡

Really nice hike. Lots of people and lots of mountain bikers though.

Was a great trail!

Absolutely loved this trail! Overcast day with amazing views of the Buffalo, mule deer, grouse and pronghorn. The number of 6-8 point buck was impressive and the hike itself was perfect for my four year old daughter! She loved it and we’ll definitely be back!

Loved it! It’s not as far as it’s posted it’s about 1.6 miles to the waterfall you can go further but it’s rock climbing. So worth it!

Awesome hike, hard at the beginning with the switchbacks but other than that pretty easy.

My dog and I do this trail frequently and I would recommend it to anyone. There are several different ways to get up if you are willing to explore. The sandy switchbacks in the beginning are the roughest part in my opinion. Great Waterfall if you complete the hike.

We're visitors from CA and some friends turned us on to this beautiful river hike. Would have given five stars but found a lot of rubbish, a few carved up trees and the trails were poorly marked if even existent. Pretty sweet waterfall at the top. Fun little hike & will definitely do this hike again next time we visit.

amazing and spectacular right now with fall colors

I really enjoyed this one!

Still a pretty trail. Heavy use though. Don't expect to be alone. 6 cars when we got there 30+ when we left.

Pretty easy hike. The worst part is at the beginning with the switchback after switchback but other than that it was a breeze. It some very pretty views as well. It took my friend and me about 1 and a half hours to do round trip
