Chill

Last year, I would have given this trail 6 stars, but I went out several weeks ago and the trails are just overcome by bikes to the point there is backup everywhere. The pace of the trail is slow for the reason when you are on foot since you are always getting off the trail to let the next ten bikers through. This was my favorite trail up until this year as the trails seem narrower and less runner and pedestrian friendly. I think they probably need to think about reclassifying it as a trail for bikers only.

However, with that said, the trails are always clean and those in the park seem to respect the surroundings and keep the site as they found it.

excellent trails, both paved and dirt. spent 3 hours exploring

Great trail! Would do
It again. Worth the time to go! You do not feel you are in the city!

Great trail system, but not recommended when wet!! The higher ground trail isn’t that bad but lower levels hold moisture well making for a messy ride. I can’t wait to ride when a little drier. p.s. Why is there a mountain bike sitting in some brush on the trail to the west?!

$10 for a 3.8 mile hike. don't waste your $$. lots of better trails nearby

the trails are not readily marked until about half way in, that means when you're trying to find your way out you get to walk in circles. there are many intersections that are not marked as well. the trails were all littered with trash and not spectacular views. easy walk

I really liked these trails. Had my dog with me and we completed it in an hour and a half. Lots of mountain bikers but they were courteous and alert you.

My first time on these trails with my dog and really enjoyed the trails! Yes some back up to houses but was quiet and even saw some beautiful longhorns on some farmland along the way.

The trail is flat and fast, some areas are still being improved from the nearby construction. Overall, the trail is a good option for locals who are short on time or someone just wanting to get on a new trail. very appropriate for youth mountain biking.

lots of fun and good for training on the cx bike.

Excellent trail running with some challenges to keep me focused on my pacing up and down hills. Beautiful scenery and able to forget the world as I ran.

The hardest part about this hike was the heat. There was nothing challenging otherwise. But it was a great way to spend the day working out.

Great shaded trails. Excellent for summer.

The pink trail(rated easy on the park’s maps) had some portions that were literally impossible to get your bike up/through due to small space between trees, sudden steep uphill areas covered in rocks, trees hanging into path. It was a beautiful ride and I’m sure with a little more upkeep, it could definitely be a 5 star experience

On a Thursday morning in the summer, this trail was wonderful. It was quiet, serene and there weren’t many people out. It was a great start to my day

Even though the sign said Trails CLOSED there were several people on the trails here. Several areas where trails disappear but still love this place. Went again today and and sign said Trails OPEN. Same disappearing areas but a great out of the gym workout!

is this trail open now? would love to know before going:)

Nice trails, but bikers need to learn some manners and announce. Nearly collided with one. otherwise great to hear the lapping of lake waters and have a bit of elevation to climb

Fun little trail through the woods - shaded and clean. Hard to follow...not marked well. Can't wait to see what they do with the restoration.

Enjoyed this 1h15m hike with our 3-yr old dachshunds. Undulating terrain, a few stream crossings, rabbit and turtle sightings, periodic stops at Trailside benches, and lots of shade. Follow the blue dots and you'll have a good time.

Took the children to the park this day to walk the trails. It's not too bad my kids were able to make the trek around the trail. Lots of mountain bikers and heavy use during the holiday weekend.

I love exploring at Squabble Creek!!! Some beautiful trees were recently cut down for this gas line which confuses people on the trail and saddens me but I still enjoy walking here and getting into the creek.

love this trail. went with the grandkids and had a great time. some spots were tough for them but they didn't give up and now they love a sport i love and we can do together.

Easy hike and pretty views. Very quiet and not many people around. Only problem is none of the trails were marked and they all intersected with eachother. Very easy to get lost and walk in circles. Nice and close to downtown Dallas!

It’s an okay trail. Credit to the park service for squeezing so many miles into a small space. There are enough ups and downs to feel like exercise, but no steep or sustained climbs. The downside is that there is no particular destination, and no spectacular view as a payoff. If this hike was somewhere else, with more hills, better climate, and great scenery it would be worth more stars. Instead, the rumble of traffic, the constant roar of the neighboring lime kiln, and the abundance of poison ivy makes it feel like suburban DFW. Oh... yeah... well, nice campsite, worth the trip.

Great trail. Part of it is along the lake with a great breeze. The rest is in the woods. Lots of shade for summer time. Watch out for bikers, they are everywhere.

I love this place
