Close to Dallas, which is good. Not terribly exciting and lots of urban noise. Still, it’s a hike! A fair amount of trash along both trails we hiked.

We tried to go hiking but all of the trails were flooded. It didn't say anything about it on the park website. so if you're driving any sort of distance, I would suggest to call the park if it has been raining a lot. Other wise, the fall colors on that area are gorgeous.

It’s flat, boring, the trails aren’t well marked, and there’s quite a bit of trash. If you’re just looking for a place to walk your dog that isn’t the sidewalk on the side of a main road it’s fine.

It was okay. Accustomed to Arkansas trails so not accustomed to seeing trash on trail, and a weird voodoo looking area with license plates nailed to trees and a pink Christmas tree with a couple of chairs. Was possibly a homeless camp. just weird feeling.

Love the challenging trail. It’s very useful to measure your endurance over time.

I love this trail! So glad I found it!

Hello twins. ;)

Last year, I would have given this trail 6 stars, but I went out several weeks ago and the trails are just overcome by bikes to the point there is backup everywhere. The pace of the trail is slow for the reason when you are on foot since you are always getting off the trail to let the next ten bikers through. This was my favorite trail up until this year as the trails seem narrower and less runner and pedestrian friendly. I think they probably need to think about reclassifying it as a trail for bikers only.

However, with that said, the trails are always clean and those in the park seem to respect the surroundings and keep the site as they found it.

do not part in East fork park, the trail head is West down skyline. before you get to the park take a left on skyline. there is a day use/ equestrian friendly lot on the right not far down. once you step thru the walking gate... take an immediate left along the fence line... the path that goes straight from the gate dead ends at the lake. horse trail also so it is rough. at about 3 miles in we cut over to skyline and walked back on the road

Awesome place , awesome view , I had been their last Saturday , it was raining , the view was just something to watch out for. Nearer to the city and such a lush green landscape hard to find.

Nice place. 4 different trails. Wooded to grassland. Went after rain and boots got caked with dirt/mud. Had to stop several times to clean them off. Saw deer tracks. Saw big cottonmouth in swampy area.

Great trail! Would do
It again. Worth the time to go! You do not feel you are in the city!

Cost: $7 per person.

Need I say more? Other states don't charge money to walk around in nature.

I've hiked all the trails. Great trail system.

good walk

Only did half mile trail. But definitely liked it. However it is the busiest trails I have ever seen. No less than fifty cars in the parking lot. In the middle of the week 30 min. Before it closes.

just another good hike at Cedar Ridge

$10 for a 3.8 mile hike. don't waste your $$. lots of better trails nearby

Really nice and well maintained trails. Next time I come, I definitely will give myself more time to explore.

Trails are really confusing and not marked. More markers would make this a great trail. I could care less where it’s located or next door to.

I really liked these trails. Had my dog with me and we completed it in an hour and a half. Lots of mountain bikers but they were courteous and alert you.

This trail really does give you quit a workout. There are 4 trails to choose from we did the safari and the lake. The safari was well shaded but the lake only had a few shaded spot but well worth the walk will be one of my new walking spots most definitely.

To all you hikers that keep complaining, take a minute to think who maintains the trail.. (DORBA).
(YES, IT COSTS BOTH MONEY TO BUY TOOLS AND LOTS OF VOLUNTEER HOURS TO KEEP THE TRAILS TIDY)
Then take another minute to figure out what does that mean. Hikers are more than welcome. but please no matter the park you go to. always stop at the trailhead and READ THE RULES!!!
most trails will ask hikers to go in the oposite direction so you can spot bikers from a distance and move aside.
thank you all for understanding.
have a great day!!

Nice trail. I like the fact that all the trails tie into a central hub. Makes the distance options very flexible. Nice scenery and mostly shaded.

Love this trail and run out there as much as possible. Mostly single track with hard packed dirt and some rocky areas. Just enough elevation gain and technical sections to make it interesting. Mix of shaded and open sections. DORBA does a great job of maintaining the trail. The only downsides are that it can get really crowded with mountain bikers and there are a ton of copperheads out there depending on the season.

Love it. Tons of birds and grass hoppers. Also there are some wasps that you have to avoid, but to me that's what makes a trail great.
