Easy pleasant walk. After the paved ascent from
The parking lot an easy descent down to the ranch house then a wide flat pleasant loop through meadow and woods. No dramatic views like on the other trails but a very pleasant peaceful walk. A good break from some of the more arduous trails.

Easy to moderate 10 mile hike that is an easy drive from Vista. You need a map or GPS as some routes aren't marked well. Saw a few bikes at the beginning, but few people after that. Overall a good day.

Great walk with the dog, a little steep at times and some trails suffering from water erosion, overall a beautiful and manageable hike suitable for all

Love the trails! You can make your hikes short and quick or go for miles. I condition my horse for endurance here also. Great technical ups and downs and flat areas to trot out.

Got a little lost, would highly suggest keeping a map close by. Great hike overall. Little hidden ponds were fun to find.

Took my work team out for a team bonding Activity yesterday morn. The temp was perfect and the hike great for some beginners. We took off the boulder loop section and came back down the ranch house trail so took off about 2 miles. Our hike was 3.1.

This was a great hike. A good workout but not too hard. It feels way out there but really just a few minutes off the freeway. Pay close attention to the trail markers to stay on the 10 mile loop. We got lost the first time we did this and ended up hiking a total of 14 miles because we had taken a wrong turn at some point.

Fun, beautiful hike! We saw many coyotes and rabbits! Very scenic and lots of shade. I would definitely recommend to others who are looking for a long, somewhat challenging at times, hike!

I’ve done this one a few times. Pretty easy terrain until you actually get to Stanley Peak Trail, then there’s some good incline to the top, but it’s not super long. The trails are well marked at Daley Ranch and of course it can get toasty there. The only reason I knocked off a star is because the view at the top is disappointing. Your view is of a road and you can hear the cars, but it’s worth the hike to see the other mountains.

amazing placer

Very Nice smaller, short hike. Beautiful views of layered mtns. Saw some of the wildlife-a Buck & coyote. Good spot to do some bouldering in a few spots. Highly recommend if ur in the area

It was a nice hike...looking forward to trying different trails at Daley Ranch

Take plenty of water and make sure to wear sun screen. Not a lot of shade but overall a great place to go hiking.

Great Trail lots of options to choose your distance!!!

Nice trail. Definitely I will return to take side trails. Be careful, there are a lot of rattlesnakes! However, as elsewhere on such trails in California.

Easy to moderate trail to the peak with a little surprise at the summit. Wedge between boulders is a metal box containing journals and pen encouraging hikers to share their experience hiking Stanley Peak. Love the idea and made sure to share my thoughts. Most of the trail is paved with loose sandy soil and only almost half a mile to the summit that the trail became rocky. Easily doable even for children who love adventures.

Excellent trail. Take a map if you haven't hiked it before. Go early, take plenty of water. Have fun!

Great trail with lots of options to go in different directions. We hiked a total of 7.9 miles and went up Stanley Peak which is 0.7 miles out and back to the top with nice views overlooking Escondido. Lots of elevation for a good workout plus different types of scenery, which alternated from being woodsy to a more sage brush environment.

Theres a variety of options. Paved with slight grades to completely dirt with rock, step grades, or for acomplete experience of both do the loop. Even the full loop has a few route options more difficult.

Great trail. Steep incline. Lots of trail choices!

Plain and simple... a must do. Can't wait to return to this loop for the fall when the rain starts!

Nice loop. You have options on directions as well as some side trails so not likely to get boring if you repeat. Great views. Bikers were considerate and trails wide enough to accommodate all.

My 5 year old daughter and I went for a hike in the rain one Sunday about 5 months back. Going early in the rain we were alone with the wildlife. Quite magical. We ended up jogging back from the lake on the loop. Excellent easy hike.

My favorite North San Diego County trail. You can make this as long as you want as there are multiple trails spread throughout Daley Ranch with some very challenging trails to more easy trails. As the warmer months are fast approaching, make sure to bring hydration as it can get very hot. Also, the earlier the better for your hikes. If you follow the full perimeter of Daley Ranch, you can make it a 13 mile trek. Love it!

Epic view, more than happy!

This is one of the best trails in San Diego county. It has so many variations and challenging trails for all levels. I haven’t found another trail that matches its intensity and the sights and sounds are a real payoff

I love this hike- I made a loop out of it. Easy to follow and many trails to go explore. I recommend it.

Great hike from this starting point. Beautiful views!
