Fantastic trail. Hiked with 8 & 9 year old, they did great. Beautiful view.

Really beautiful spot, great view
Wanted to do
The loop but couldn't find the red trail from the top
So next time we will start on the red trail

This is a great hike with a great view and fire tower at the top. Not too difficult for a Saranac 6 peak. Great trail and rewarding.

a beautiful day for a hike...we are hiking with our grandson so he can finish the Tupper Lake Triad....the view is amazing....we will have to go again in the fall to see all the color

Great hike! The last part is definitely a bit challenging, but fine if you take your time. We had the mountain to ourselves at 7:30 AM on a Friday — just passed a few groups on our way down. My 12 year-old son wanted me to warn you all about the cobwebs this early though!

This is the 2nd time I have done this hike. The trail is VERY well marked and maintained. The path has a mixed terrain in areas with larger rocks to maneuver. There are two areas with a steeper incline and some people may need an assist depending on their skills/abilities/comfort level. The view from the Sumit is a beautiful sight of Blue Mountain lake.

Easy, short hike with a great view! Took us just over an hour round trip, including 10 minutes at the top. Lots of dogs and families. If you're looking for a quick hike with a rewarding view, this is the hike for you. Did as part of the Tupper Lake Triad.

I loved this trail. hiked it in July 2018, and it was an easy-to-moderate walk in the forest culminating in an awe-inspiring view. When you get to the trail you get an option of doing it as a back and out or a loop we did the latter, which added a little more distance, but it still took only about 2 hours to finish.

This trail is well marked and rather easy.Great views at the summit for such a little effort getting there. This is a good hike for just about anyone as we saw many dogs, younger kids and some older adults on the trail.I would recommend this trail to anyone looking for good views and a nice safe trail.

Great easy trail, very well marked! AMAZING views at the top

Very well kept trail! For the first couple miles it is fairly flat with smaller gains in elevation. Once you cross the foot bridge the grade increases and continues until you get to the top. When the trail becomes more stone you are close to the summit. There is a foot path that goes right just before the fire tower. This provides some views but nothing like what you will see if you stay to the left. Total hike time was 3 hours with 30 minutes at the top.

One of my favorite local hikes/snowshoe. A best bang for the buck! I think I have done this mountain about 50 times since 2005. Can't ever hike\snowshoe to it enough. It has the most awesome views of Blue Mountain and BM Lake. Besides that, the hike\snowshoe is not demanding at all and the Talon caves just before the summit are a BONUS!

Enjoyed a beautiful sunset on top of Coney a few days ago. We ran up and down the mountain, very gradual inclines until the last hundred feet where it gets slightly steeper. Great for kids.

We have been up this ridge a number of times in the past but always got there via canoe or kayak while we were camping/fishing. This is the first time visiting Lowe's Ridge (aka Hitchen's Pond overlook) via a hiking trail. The hike into Low's Ridge is an easy to moderate hike along a wide dirt road with lots of view of wetlands on both sides. There are even stunning views of Silver Lake Mountain and it amazing ledges. This is a must for any adventure seeker. From the ridge, you can see miles and miles of the Bog River and the Adirondack Park in general. You can even see Mt. Marcy on a clear day!

Did this and the others from the Tupper Lake Triad all in one day! Such a fun challenge.

Parking was not the easiest to find. You have to go through what looks like a private conference center. Once you park you walk through a dirt road to the trailhead. The hike was great and took about 1.5 hours. I brought my year old lab mix who is very fit and he had a blast! It was moderately challenging because of the steepness in a few areas. Dogs that are too young or old may have difficulty with this hike. My dog had to make some 2-3ft jumps up different rocks to continue the trail. Be careful to follow the trail markers to the summit. During one point we veered off and began walking toward the lake instead of crossing a small stream to continue upwards. The view at the top is AMAZING but it’s a small area so their isn’t much room if there are too many people. That would be my only complaint. Overall it was a great hike and I would definitely do it again.

Great hike. It is short but the whole trip to the vista is uphill so a good workout for us middle aged folks. The view is absolutely spectacular.

it was a cloudy, with light rainy day but the hike was short and easy. this was the start of the triad for me.

We took a group of 15 teenaged boys on this hike. The weather was very hot but all the boys made the hike without much trouble. The view was awesome.

Kids love the ‘caves’ and the view. Nice loop trail down the back side for a different return route.

Awesome hike. Major bang for your buck with the type of summit and views you hope for when hiking any mountain, plus this has a fire tower up top making it even better. I saw a lot of deer on this hike too. Not terribly hard, hike took under 4 hours at a decent pace with a good 30 minutes on top. A few longer climbs but the trail is broken up nicely so it’s not too tiring. One id do again for sure. For a small hike near Saranac Lake, it’s one of the better choices.

The best of the Tupper Triad! Even though it lacks Mount Arab's fire tower, it has views in all directions for miles! Rivers and lakes in distance, along with countless mountains. The summit is also large, so if it's a crowded day there should be plenty of room to take in the views. The trail itself is in great shape and is basically a more gradual version of Mount Arab. DO THIS!

great hike! I'm from the flat lands of the Midwest so the last bit was a challenge, but well worth it! the views at the top are spectacular. climbed the fire tower to top off the visability. buggy throughout and muddy at spots, but hey, you're in the woods, what do you expect. come prepared for these conditions and you will not be disappointed!

View is great

Beautiful trail, very easy hike through a mix of terrain. Great for the family as we had 5, 7 and 10 year old's with us. Breathtaking views of the marsh with mountains in the background. An abundance of different birds and wildflowers to stop and identify. If you are in the area, this is a must do trail for any family whether you are a beginning hiker or an expert looking for relaxation. But, bring the bug spray!
