Fantastic and unique landmark!!! Loved seeing the architecture and beach views and the island!! Also had immediate access to Eagle falls and the Rubicon trail!!!

Anyone been there recently? Wondering how water is currently. Speed of water safe for kids?

Walk across a cool bridge, then down hill to the river. Cool swimming ponds.

Such a beautiful hike! My favorite hike in the area! So much to see on this trail! Heard bullfrogs, tons of birds, saw beautiful wild flowers, and wild turkey. The rushing of the water sounds on your right is amazing. Passing through watery paths were pleasantly unexpected. Bring good shoes or hiking bits because of the water and mud. You will not be bored!

Went here with my 9month old and husband. I carried our baby in a kangaroo pack. We had never been here before and thought we’d give it a try. There are trail maps for those looking for a bit more adventure. I went on a Wednesday at about 3pm and there was a moderate amount of people. Along our trail to paradise falls there was plenty of beautiful scenery to look out at. We ended up walking down to the waterfall and made our way back the same way we went in.

Amazing trail with waterfalls, creeks, spectacular views. Started at Regency trailhead, Donner Canyon Road, Fall Trail, Middle Trail, and Back Creek Trail, 7.1 Miles, elevation gain 1,555 feet, moderate hike. Lot of shades and wildflowers.

Easy hike, great trails

I wish the boardwalk down to Rush Creek was usable. The newts were fun to watch there. This is still an easy, fun trail for the whole range of ages as it is wide and level with the added interest of the flumes. Wildflowers abound.

Started at HQ. easy walk to the Sempervirens Falls. From there we took the Sequoia Trail up the hill and across the 236 to skyline to sea. That was much prettier

Went March 31, 2018. Beautiful hike, even without waterfalls, but glad they were there! Spring seems like it might be the best time to go. It’s not hot yet, the waterfalls are going (if we have rain), and there’s a ton of wild flowers! Saw some turkeys, butterflies and heard frogs. Great spring hike. Everything was green. Great views of city below too!

It’s a very nice and challenging trail. There are sections that are quite steep. The Saturday that I rode it was busy. Some pedestrians are oblivious to bicycle traffic. They don’t stay in the right lane. Today was the first day of over 80 degree weather. Summer rides will require you to bring water. There is not much shade at the north end of the trail.

Large portion of the trail runs alongside the road which takes the serenity out of the hike whenever a car drives by. The second half after passing Shadowbrook trail was much better with road noise. Overall the hike was pleasant, and relaxing. Small detour to see the falls. I would rate this as an easy hike.

Beautiful hike! Loved seeing the waterfalls. We went in March and it was muddy most of the way but still lovely. We went clockwise and there was lots of steep uphill spots. Would like to do it again. Round trip from street to loop and back was almost 7.5 miles.

all around great trail

This is one of the most beautiful Hikes I have ever hiked. With slight drizzle and cloudy skies , it was a amazing hike and I had stopped by the redwood for nearly an hour to enjoy the nature's beauty. For the most part of trail you will have the pristine creek running by beside the trail. the ascend and descend alternates itself and gives you a pleasure of a good workout. Although there is something about the trail I would like to mention. If you are taking the loop through Fall creek south fork trail and join back the Fall creek trail after hiking Big Ben Trail, then after hiking 1.3 miles in Fall creek trail from Big Ben along the creek, you will find that the path has been completely eroded and there is no way to proceed further. You would have to take a switch back to reach the Truck Trail, then hike thru Ridge Trail and S-Cape Trail to join the fall creek trail back. The switch back is not a well marked trail path and you have to figure it out moving back from the closed path say by .2 miles , this increases the trail distance to 10.3 miles and is not what that has been mentioned.

very beautful

Loved this, very easy trail and super pretty. The bridges and the falls are soooo perfect. I would go back, for sure!!!

Lots of people and dogs out enjoying this beautiful day. Had to take a side trail to the river for my pooch. great trail for the family.

Visited on a sunny Sunday afternoon. It's a wonderful hike with multiple tiny waterfalls on the way. We did the loop anti-clockwise and found it to be moderately challenging. There are certainly a few sections of steep climbing, but nothing very strenuous. If you're visiting Mt. Diablo park, this should definitely be on your list of hikes!

Amazing foliage

I started the trail from Saratoga Toll Road Trail (to the left) because through Indian trail it said no trespassing. Most of the trail goes through forest and the crossroads sometimes did get very confusing, because of no markings and they were not in my map. At the end of the trail it said you need to sight up somewhere, but there were no papers or anything; behind the fence it said you need a permission to go through from the park... very confusing. Overall it might be a nice trail for people who like to hike in forest, but nothing too entertaining for me, and confusing with no markings and that private property.

Love it! Basically it’s Cardinet Oaks Road all the way (approx 30 mins) to the point where you can turn either left or right for the loop itself. I suggest going clockwise. The Falls Trail is my favorite.. then the second - and last part - of the loop, Middle Trail, can be challenging for some. Can be muddy!

This is great for a quick hike/trail run. Especially if you take the longer trail.
