Corvallis Map

It was very steep. To get to the top you literally go straight up. Be careful when muddy. It was a bit difficult to find the trail. There are many different trails! Use the map!! Worth it getting to the top! Wonderful very.

Great hiking trail. Easy to get to. It is steep at some points. Nice being able to take my dog and to be off leash. Had a nice sunny day in late Dec. and was not busy.

Great trail

Great hike, easy with views, no dogs allowed!!! Great for bird watching.

Enjoyed it a lot. The forest is beautiful, and I saw lots of mushrooms even at the end of December.

Good easy going trail. We took the trail up and 500 Rd back down. We got there around 9:30 and the parking lot was full. However we only saw a handful of people hiking/running. This trail connects to others so you can make your hike longer if you want. Overall nice a great with mostly tree cover and well maintained trails.

One the best hikes in Corvallis, good workout for a Sunday afternoon

I enjoy this trail - busy enough with hikers, mountain bikes, runners to feel safe but not so busy that it’s a deterrent. It’s a gravel road to the top, the trail down winds through gorgeous forest. As a hiker, be mindful going during the on season for mountain biking- the plants are tall enough that you could be hard to spot with much advanced notice. Definitely keep your dog on leash! On a rainy day there is very minimal overhead cover. This is a trail definitely on my repeat list.

Very beautiful trip my daughter and I rode our bikes stopped and 8 lock's lots of blackberries on the way on a beautiful summer evening

Pleasant easy hike with just a little hill climbing. The old growth forest was beautiful.

It was hard finding the actual trailhead if you don’t use the app. I absolutely loved the hike! Such a good workout and my dog loved it as well. I try to go places that allow dogs off leash and it was a perfect trail for that. Another thing that confused me was the satellite on the app. I wasn’t sure if I was going the right way so I kept asking people who passed by if I was going the right way; finally one person seemed to know what I was talking about

Pretty good hike and easy to get to, the incline is pretty steep but a good workout! Lots of people on bikes which is cool. Not very many view-points. I think people use it more as a walking/jogging loop regularly. There’s a nice little pond and it’s a fun place to hangout when it’s sunny. The trails are mostly gravel.

We (wife, dog, me) walked his trail on a Saturday afternoon in August. Delightful easy walk thru managed forest. Encountered occasional other cyclists, joggers, and walkers. Trail is thru the forest and does not offer panoramic views.

We (wife, dog, me) walked the first part of this trail late afternoon on a Friday in mid October. Spectacular views, good climb, and we encountered no other walkers. We'll definitely do it again and try some of the other trail options.

We were taking photos of this magnificent beautiful spiritual place!

Beautiful scenery!!

3.9 Miles is the trail length according to my phone. Took me about an hour and 20 minutes to complete. Good trail but if given the choice I’d do the section 36 loop trail any day over this loop trail

awesome so many trails

Very nice hike with a steep.incline but such an amazing view.

Lovely hike with my 2 grown kiddos and 2 dogs. The lake was small, but beautiful and peaceful. The dogs romped around in the water for a bit. I rated this hike only 3 stars because 90% of the loop was on a gravel road. We were under tree cover the entire hike and the trees were pretty along with birds chirping!

This was a bueatiful trail for me and my dog. We took the shorter option since it was my first time on this trail. I only wish the map had the you are here pointer so I could navigate myself better (I got directions for the shorter route from another hiker).

Well maintained trail. Slightly steep switchback turns closer to the summit at Dimple Hill. Very shady for most of trail. Gorgeous views of Corvallis and Philomath.

It's beautiful and serene.
I walked the surrounding trails afterwards.

Nice trail....perfect Sunday morning walk

great hike peaceful and the lake is beautiful can't wait to go back and explore the rest of the trails

I took the road up, and the trail down. I'm a little out of shape, but was able to do this entire hike without a bottle of water at around 7pm. It's an easy hike with manageable elevation gain. The views are not good. At least from this trail. Haven't found a good vista of the valley from this area, at least not yet. This hike was EASY.

Enjoyable trail run. The clearcuts were unfortunate though!

beautiful hike. We took the trail up, and the road back. We did not go to the furthest point due to some off leash dogs running around, which would have been a hindrance for our on leash alpha Aussie, but it was a lovely hike, none the less.
