A very nice forest hike. See some of the oldest trees in the region. Easy to find, good parking. Near town.

Amazing views at the top!

Not a difficult hike but very nice - especially with the leaves changing.

Hard trailhead to find. Look for
“Trail
Closed” sign. Turn right before bridge. Otherwise it’s a loop.

Great hike. Very clean and well marked. A bike ride up to it is all up hill but a good way to get up. And an awesome way down! I would recommend going to the right if you would like to see the oldest tree in the forest. The elevation change was nice but beware of the exposed roots.

Great hike. What a payoff at the top. Most beautiful view.

This trail was a really pleasant surprise! I’m not from the area and I was just looking for a quick hike to get my dogs out of the car for a bit. This hike actually features 3 waterfalls and I was only expecting one. So that was a nice surprise. Also it’s hillier than I expected it to be and there is a few spots with some nice views. It started thunder storming shortly after we got moving, but it was a great hike regardless.

Smell of cedar is great. Trail is well maintained. It is a beautiful walk. Elevation is easy to maneuver.

Beautiful trail, all pines. Great for younger hikers. Take the left route for some reason the views that way around the loop are more stunning...

Washout on the road, it is accessible to all the falls both to left and right at trail separation. Largest is to the left off closed atv trail on golf course road. The largest fall is a steep decent down, and you have to climb down into the base of the waterfall to come back up another trail. Beautiful and worth the climb, difficult with younger hikers. Teens were able to do it. Falls to the right are perfect for younger hikers and easy access. Worth the scenic walk!

Cool relaxing hike, however not as amazing as I thought it would be

Plan to be at the top by sunset, most beautiful sunset in Michigan! We stayed after to stargaze, and it was equally incredible.

Beatiful bluff at the top- and tons of blueberries if your timing is right.

Golf course road still closed, but if you come from above you can get pretty far before the road is washed out. Just go down to 21st street and head up the hill until it dead ends into golf course road. Take a left and go slow for about a mile or so to where the atv trail is. You can walk in even though the trail says it’s closed. Beautiful hike, not too bad from erosion, just be careful.

Attempted to reach, but road is blocked & trails were closed. Wish I knew how the hiker three days ago accomplished this hike.

As a hiker, the trail is challenging; many short hills and rocks. There are other trails that connect, and I became confused because the trails aren’t marked well. I ended at the highway which was not my trailhead and had to walk back uphill one mile to reach my car. As I drove away, I saw the same thing happen to a couple of bikers.

Some truly amazing close-up exposure to various elevations of the falls. Easy to personalize to make easy or challenging.

Very cool old growth forest! Came early in the season, trail needed some clean up, but overall a very nice trail!

It's a nice hike uphill through the forest, crosses path with an old logging road. The bluff at the end is windy, beautiful, and gives a great view of the forest to the south, and the harbor to the North.

Beautiful scenery. Best to go in the Fall highly recommended

You have to spot these tiny signs all the way up and it is an amazing view from the top (took a car) when you get up to the top there is also a mailbox to sign your name and to put it back inside the mailbox lots of empty pages. only if they could cut more trees down up top I’d give it a 5/5 that being so 3/5

We did the "big loop" at about 3-3.5 miles and it was beautiful. Enormous old white pines, among other trees too. Very nice hike.
