The initial ascent can be challenging but the two outlook vistas are worth it! The trail recorded for this seems off and we had to jump onto the Ross Trail to get back to the Gerard Trail on the way down. Stop to enjoy the waterfall if it has rained recently.

Beautiful, fun and easy. There were some points where I see people’s houses, but it’s as good as it gets in the area

Beautiful trail even in winter. We were able to tie various trails together to get a great 5 mile hike in.

Multiple views and it was nice to Boulder/climb at Twin Boulders for a bit. They’re located just beyond the 2 viewpoints along the trail. After the initial 1/3 of the circuit the rest is pretty flat and quick to complete.

Awesome view at the summit! Trial is nicely marked; going up the yellow trail definitely gives your calves a nice burn — going down has a lot of neat stopping point.

One of my favorite hikes !... this hike will not disappoint !! ... great look out points

The summit was spectacular !! Awesome hike!!

Beautiful scenery...
Trails were well marked and lots of fun.

Wonderful hike alongside the lake until you get to a ridge with a beautiful view the whole way. The castle on top is super cool and has an awesome panoramic view. Probably my favorite half day hike I've done in CT!

Super scenic! Easy reverse hike (downhill first). Pretty sure it’s only 1 mile total.

Pretty straight forward, crowded however in summer with a lot of of bathers in the falls! Fun for kids.

Started at Pine Knob loop and Finished at the parking area for St Johns Ledges. Nice hike for a total of 8 miles one way.

This was a great trail! Very well marked and open. Beautiful views and not too strenuous. I’m 23 and my mom is 54 and we both were fine.

A really nice day on this trail. Easy, not too many others gonna do this again when the foliage is brighter

Beautiful adventure...striking views and great work out with steep hills and rocks. Loved it!!!

Great hike. Bummed we apparently missed the trail that breaks off for the bridge, but overall very good hike.

Great hike.

nice trails, near a river, moderately busy, lots of dog walkers and dog pick up bags available.

It was a nice trek while camping in copake falls

This is a great park. With plenty of stuff to see you can easily spend a day or two. As long as you pay attention and plan your hike it shouldn't be to difficult. This was my first time and I had no issues.
I will ask that you keep your dog on a leash as rules tell you to. This is not for your dogs saftey but others on the trail. Don't get mad at me when your dog gets hurt because you don't have them on a leash and they blot up to my little girl. Just be glad I didn't come after you next.

Moderate to difficult climb to two nice lookouts. About 20 minutes the hard way (left, red and blue trail) or 45 via the switchback which takes you past the Indian settlement. Well worth it! There’s a pretty waterfall nobody talks about much, probably because it’s just a trickle most of the time. But today it was sunny and beautiful and we’d just had 5 inches of rain so it was spectacular.

We LOVE the ocean, and this hike gives the best of both worlds. Look for the "artist" that does the rock pile statues.... awesome to say the least. We weren't prepared for the sun and didn't realize this has a beach. Great walk although BUSY with lots of people. We will going back many more times this fall. Beautiful !
