Great neighborhood fitness track. Has cushioned running track beside asphalt path. .

Definitely a fun place to visit; this trail offers interesting historical insight into Georgia's past. I new to Georgia, so it helped me learn and appreciate the states natural beauty.

Beautiful, well kept walkway with Vita 2000 fitness ail. stations, refreshing natural beauty, cypress, Spanish moss, mostly shaded. Picnic tables and benches. Great walk/jog tr

This is a very good area for biking. I saw deer and a bobcat as well as alligators. I didn’t need any bug spray at all during my ride and I rode around the ponds and down the sandy side roads.

Nice trail. A little short, but loop it both directions for a decent ride.

Thankful I was introduced to AllTrails so I can give JFG a review. It’s my favorite trail in The Hill. The Spanish moss makes for a peaceful setting. The grasshoppers and crabs keep you on your toes! Also makes for a great stroll with earbuds and a pair of flip flops.

We saw several types of crabs, lots of birds and clams. Areas of the trail were washed out, but you could walk around the places, I wouldn't suggest a bike though.

Beautiful trail, but going down the right of the entrance are two washouts. The first you can cross, the second has two unstable looking pipes. This was about 1 mile into the trail. August 7th 2018

amazing piece of history.

Beautiful

Enjoyed it very much. Quiet and peaceful walking amongst wild horses. Take a swim in the ocean to cool off

Easy hike in the swamp. Saw lots of birds and alligators

A short little hike to see beautiful driftwood on a quiet beach

A really nice walk, a bit warm at noon in July , no real shade to speak or, saw 3 alligators, many varieties of birds and several types of butterflies

Great place to go for a walk, take the pups for a walk, or just hang out. It's usually a good idea to see if there are any events going on. Some of them can make the park a pretty crowded place. Plenty of places nearby to eat, quite a few are dog friendly. Will make for a nice morning, afternoon, or evening.

The trail is washed out in many areas. Can’t hike/bike the entire length.

Great place to walk, run or bike. Plenty of benches and tables to sit and rest.

A very nice nature walk. The only reason it didn’t get 5 stars was the insane amount of grasshoppers everywhere. They would either just stay in your way, or jump towards your feet, or jump up your leg. Really annoying for a couple of miles. Other than that it has gorgeous views and very well shaded.

Very easy walk to see two old locks used on the canal. Can walk to the end to the Ogeechee River.

Not really a “hike” but it’s a peaceful walk, and the perfect distance. Loved the little exercise stations along the trail, too. Wish people could really be more respectful and pick up their dog’s poop.

The Recess Plantation Trail (3.2 Miles) is the best trail on the refuge. Park at the Wildlife Drive Entrance - East side of SC170. Walk 1/4 mike to entrance to the trail making it about 3.7 mikes round trip. Even though it is a relatively short hike, bug spray and water will come in handy.

Very cool and unique. If you are anywhere near Jekyll Island this is a must see. I would not travel hours to see it but if you are in Jekyll, St Simon, Sea, or St Mary’s Islands or passing through I95 at Brunswick, GA, take an hour or so and check it out!

This is NOT a trail. It is a walk on a beach that is nowhere near the fort mentioned (7 miles away). If you go to St Simon Island, go see the fort and lighthouse, plus the novel downtown but, unless you want a 1/4 mike walk down a crowded public beach, pass on this supposed “trail”!
