Completed Trails Map

Waterfall at the trail head is beautiful, however the gorge trail is closed for the winter.

always great

The trail is mostly a mown path, which then cuts into the woods to circle back. The raised walkways are nice, but the whole trail seems randomly defined, necessitating more raised paths than if it had been more thoughtfully planned. I didn't find the trail exceedingly picturesque, but it's fine if you just need a walk in the woods.

Well maintained, great views, easy on the joints

Just There yesterday and viewed the Falls . There was some snow on the ground and didn’t want to do the 2.6 mile trail . Beautiful area . Solitude . Will return when the snow is gone for sure !

Very beautiful trail along the gorge! Natural trail with a few dips and hills, but overall pretty easy. Went in the winter when there were no leaves on the trees so you could see how magnificent the gorge was!

We started at the north entrance close to the zoo parking lot. The trail starts out nice, moderate terrain through the woods. Some nice scenery and easily walked however, as the trail progressed, it became more and more overgrown. We had a jogger stroller and began to experience a harder and harder time the farther we went. As we got near the end, the trail became extremely narrow and overgrown and we encountered an impassible pile of debris, almost like a stick fence that kept us from going further. Unfortunately we had to turn back the way we came. Not fun!

Great place to take the dogs! Amazing cliff side views

Enjoyable loop we do year round

Lovely easy walk along the cliffs.

It’s a loop around the lake. Green Lakes in general is meh.

Super nice trail! Well marked with beautiful view of the wetlands and water. First half mile in for the short and long loop is grassy trail. Watch for snakes (gardeners) and frogs and wear high socks or long pants for ticks. Great lookout spots on the long loop and little inclines here and there. Little muddy in spots but nothing to navigate around. Would definitely visit this place again!

Nice short hike through beautiful scenery. Close to college.

Great easy hike, steps a tad steep for the little ones.

Started at the Huntingtonville trail head and walked down to the end in Black River and back. 6.9 miles. Great for biking and rollerblading. Wish people would take care of their dog's crap though.

Salmon River Falls is a beautiful peaceful (yet loud) place to visit. Short and easy trail to the falls. Spectacular in the summertime and wintertime.

Amazing views of the water and a very easy hike. The park was originally used as a dog kennel so there are statues of the famous Elhew Pointers everywhere as well as the kennel itself and a burial site for the dogs. Very nice trip.

A lot of ticks but a good hiking spot. I like the Eel Bay trail the best because you're by the water for most of it. Very easy hike with good views and, if you're lucky, plenty of wildlife. I have seen vultures, waterfowl, a porcupine and a fisher in the two times I went. Also a very easy hike for dogs.

Great trail. Variety of terrain. Not so complicated that my five year old couldn't conquer without some assistance. Bring bug repellent!!

Finally got to do the whole trail despite living on the other side of the gorge in Whitesville. Needs a little maintenance at trail junctions and where trails restart after clearing at the power lines. Some signs missing. Started at Oak Rim trailhead in Rodman, went about 8 miles, then looped back around to the car via Old State Road so we could try to see the eclipse. This trail meets up with other trails, John Young trail for one, which has two trail heads on Old State Rd. If you want a shorter hike to Rainbow Falls, these are it. Also there's a swing, picnic table, and grill at the junction of the John Young and one of the ski trails(missing sign). All in all, an amazing trail, will be doing it again.

I have this a 5 due to it really coming thru on waterfalls in a short period of time. also a well made trail system. great quick hike!

Enjoyed walking this with my 3hr old this morning. Great views along the way!

Peaceful stroll along the river and some nice views of mini waterfalls. Very technical so if you're running- be careful!

This is a very beautiful easy hike along several waterfalls.

Nice and flat crushed gravel trail. Good place to go to get a 4 miler in real quick! Random lookouts throughout, so don't bother with them unless you enjoy looking at weeds. There are also some exercise stations as well.

Not bad... paved, so good for walking, jogging, or road biking. It's clean, so that's nice.

Unfortunately this trail was partially closed during our visit (near Stewart Ave) so plan ahead. We did manage to see a lot of it by coming from Cornell's side - and what we saw was lovely. Just wish the signage was a bit clearer regarding the closure.

absolutely loved the peaceful walk through the trail. Extremely Beautiful scenery throughout the hike. We continued on a road beyond the endpoint of the trail, and found a secluded beach that was something out of a movie. Certainly going back this fall!

Just beautiful
