Good trail there’s parking as you come in and also past that up the road a bit. Keep hiking up the trail and you can see it just off to the right

This is a pretty easy hike it is kid friendly as well as dog friendly! It is super pretty has soo many tall trees as well as a river flowing down! Did get a little lost trying to find the heart but eventually found it when I saw a heart drawing with an arrow drawn on the dirt pointing to the direction! It was super fun definitely going back during summer to maybe get in the water!

Great easy trail

The whole trail is amazing. This hike has scenic views the entire way up and down which made it special.Priceless!
Whole trip took almost 6 hours round trip, including breaks to strip off clothings layers, lunch, take pics, take a time at the overlook. Things I would recommend bringing, specialy in winter: a good pair of boots and micro-spikes. It gets icy at the top! he last 1.5 miles of the switchbacks are covered in snow and ice.

We did this trail on January 18th. The trail got snowy(up to about 3/4 ft) when you got all the way to the top, but most of it had no snow. The views at the top as well as the entire way up are absolutely breathtaking. Was quite challenging for the average hiker but a million times worth it.

Amazing view, totally worth the trip!

We did this hike January 11th and were astonished with how warm it was! We brought MANY layers ready for chilly weather but we ended up stripping down to a single layer of pants and t-shirt! If you start from 7-9AM you are going to be in direct sunlight for the entire trip up with little intervals of shade. With that said, we were so happy to feel the suns warmth (hot!!) because we were coming from freezing Boston weather. This hike had scenic views the entire way up and down which made it really special. The half dome is perfectly visible throughout the first 2 miles of the hike or so. Then the views switch to the falls! Gorgeous. Perfect introduction to Yosemite. Took us about 6 hours because we had breaks of taking off layers.

—WARNING—

The last 1.5 miles of the switchbacks are covered in snow and ice. We brought spikes for our shoes and we cruised along but we saw MANY fall hard. To enjoy the entirety of the hike, definitely buy shoe spikes!

I loved this hike, we where there first part of November. The deepest part of the Narrows was just above the knee. We had rented the water gear at Zion Adventures. The water temp was 42 degrees and we where not cold at all, feet were wet the whole time, kinda felt like you had jello in your shoes! We hiked about 5 hours up and back. I will definitely do this hike again!!! The scenery was spectacular.

Aweosme hike. Brought the entire family along-deer in the stream-waterfalls-scenic spots-everything is surreal here!

This was my favorite hike of all time. The difficult hike up is totally worth it because of the amazing views. Did this hike in the middle of December, and there was only a little bit of ice towards the top.

Great place to hike. what some people may not know, if you hike another half mile or so, you will run into another, HUGE HEART ROCK. I will post a pic of it. you will see my daughter in a red shirt.

NOTE: Please keep in mind that the hike becomes a little more difficult, with rocks, log crossings, branches, water streams etc.

Nice easy hike with a kid in the backpack!

I went on December 21, and ~85% of the trail was in ice or snow. The last half had the hillsides completely covered in snow, from 1 to 2 feet in it. I lost the trail many times after the first half. Very dangerous without a GPS as you can lose your sense of direction (where trail leads), as you’ll see foot prints going various directions and splitting. When I went, there were only 3 other people that I was aware of. Very beautiful and quiet. It was around 40 degrees but it’s not an accurate reading, and there were still heavy gusts when you start to summit.

I did this hike in late September. Weather was 90 degrees, but the water was 62 degrees, and cold. The Narrows path is a paved trail along the river that ends at the entrance into the Narrows canyon. I would strongly suggest renting the neoprene socks and hiking shoes in town, along with a hiking stick. Your hike will be much more enjoyable if your feet aren't freezing cold (we didn't and wished we did). Stick definitely helps with your balance. Don't underestimate things in hiking up this river. The Narrows hike up the canyon is an incredible hike and unlike anything I have ever done before. The scenery and environment is spectacular and a MUST do at Zion. The place is very crowded, which is a draw back. But is it still worth it.

Great little
Hike! You have to go up and to the right to find the heart but its beautiful !

Hiked up the narrows. Rented gear to keep our feet warm and bodies dry. Did the hike with 4 kids ages 9-13 and 2 adults. Everyone loved it. Despite it being December and snowing lightly for part of the trip, we were warm as long as we kept moving. Wall Street was amazing and also hiked the other way towards veiled falls. Quieter going this way and equally wonderful! Steady traffic in and out but you also had moments where it was just your group.

Awesome 4 mile hike. The mine at the end of the trail is super cool

Great views! LOTS of hard switchbacks straight up. Take more water than you think you’ll need and trail running shoes are a must. This is definitely the hardest trail I’ve done, also be sure to leave early!

Amazing history along the trail. It is an easier, family friendly trail.

Pretty trail.

Awesome hike! Do it in spring like me, when the flow is the biggest!

Whole trip took 5 hours round trip, including breaks and lunch at the overlook. Things I would recommend bringing: sunscreen, sunglasses, food/snack, plenty of water, a good pair of boots. Optional gear: micro spikes and binoculars. The whole trail is amazing. At points the sun reflecting off the snow and lack of tree cover can be relatively intense (hence the glasses and cream). It gets icy at the top, but my friend made it all the way in a pair of tennis shoes. 10/10 would recommend to ANYONE

We went as far as the Lower Gate. It was spectacular. The views of the valley, Half Dome, and the falls were totally worthwhile. And the hike was a nice workout.

Overall great trail. The fire road to the trail head was closed for the winter season right off rt38 so the first mile or so to the trail head is a flat gravel road. Would have liked to do a little off-roading in the jeep! For good reasons tho there was plenty of packed snow and ice about .5 miles on the fire road. Once at the trailhead the entire hike was packed snow and ice at this point. Glad I brought microspikes! Didn’t see a single person out there but I had my dog and a friends dog with me and they loved it. Only hiked about halfway up the trail it was pretty tough in the snow and didn’t wanna push the dogs too hard in the deep snow. I’ll be back to do this trail to the summit come spring when the fire road is open to the trailhead and there’s less snow on the ground.

Always a great hike with great views.

Amazing, easy, beautiful trail!! So much litter though. Just imagine if everyone took a little responsibility for keeping our public spaces clean. My wife and I picked up as much trash as we could, but there's more out there.
