Took this hike with my very athletic son. He never broke a sweat, however I certainly did! Gorgeous views and quite a workout for me.

beautiful park, not so crowded in the morning of a weekday. many pretty dogs, some unpicked dog poo poo though.

The tree cover is lovely, the views are breathtaking (if you don’t get caught in cloud cover) and the hike is a steady incline, with some harder switchbacks near the top. Only negative: it gets really packed with people.

great hike and loved the view of falls

I love this hiking.

Awesome hike. Waterfalls are a must see.

One of the best hikes I’ve been on!

Fun hike close to home. There were some steep hills that work your calves. We took our dogs and ran into quite a few people with dogs. Started this hike about 2 and it was moderately populated. There was a little bit of water in the waterfall.

Good hike, Two beautiful lakes. We went there with kids (11 yr, 8 yr, 6 yr). Trail path is wide enough and good. Moderate crowd.

Been there on Sunday 08/11/2018. Enjoyed the hike but did not like the fact that there are no view points (no creeks, no waterfalls or no high views), it was all dry. The tail path is wide and good. I guess this trail is rated Hard because of the elevation and the distance. Took 4 hours to the top and 2.5 hours to come back. Less crowd. Not much sun light. It was all rocks at the top. The view from the top is good. Near to North Bend Downtown and easily accessible, decent parking lot. Restrooms are horrible.

great hike a few steep switchbacks

I was super excited to see all the views with water, but sadly the water was all dried out. It’s got really pretty tree views, cool little bridges, and it’s a decent work out. We ended up getting lost and took an extra 2 miles some where off the trail lol but it was alright just more excersize and pretty views for us! Also, when you get to the “top” there’s no real view to look forward to. Not a bad hike at all, I’ll retry in the fall when I can see the water but if your looking for a view at the top, you won’t find it here.

Always a good strenuous hike/run. Today did two loops to the summit. Lots of friendly people out there today, appreciate everyone moving off to the side for this old guy running.

Lovely hike close to Seattle. Can be crowded.

So nice to meander along the Coal Creek looking for little babbling smallerfalls and enjoying the coolness of the little valley. Up to Primrose Loop and back to the main path is nice to get an out-of-city experience in the shade, while staying within the city limits. Bonus points for the gorgeous and plentiful creek bridges all smelling freshly of oil and pine:

Lovely cruise hike with just the right amount of mystery about which mountain creature you might run into (sadly this bear-hungry Aussie only came up against one mean squirrel but a nice handful of humans coming up the trail while we made our way down).

The beginning of the hike is easier and runs along side a river. You’ll start to hear the waterfall as you hike deeper and start to gain a little elevation. There is a fabulous lookout point with benches to enjoy the view of the waterfall from afar. The hike becomes a slightly harder with lots of change in elevation towards the waterfall. There are no signs on the trail. We ended up at the upper falls spot first and then went back down towards the lower falls lookout afterwards. Gorgeous hike!!

Great workout. Not much for views until you get to top. Scramble the haystack for a fantastic valley and Mountain View.

Overall good family friendly hike, it is busy though.

Seward Park is one of my favorite places in Seattle. Love it.

Very doable, very pretty views of the waterfalls!

Fun way to spend a hot day! Views from upper and lower falls are gorgeous!

I went on the 4th of July. I lucked out with parking. Judging by the amount of cars, I considered not going but was able to get a parking spot at the trailhead. Based on the amount of cars, I was pleasantly surprised to not really meet up with too many people for the about the first mile. The rocks weren't as bad as the roots as people have mentioned. I wouldn't take little kids but I saw plenty trekking without a problem. I had a dog and encountered about 18 others throughout the day. All but one were on leashes. The mud greets you near the top. I'd say the last half mile. The worst part were the bugs at the top. I didn't notice them once I crossed the wood planked walkway. definitely be prepared. Beautiful, relatively easy hike. I'd defi do it again.

My friend, who has just recently gotten into getting back into shape and I hiked this trail today. She is almost 60, and I am in my mid-sixties. We enjoyed many streams, tall trees, views of the South Fork of the Snoqualmie River, and just hanging out together. It is rated easy, and at our age and ability found it very doable but it’s still a workout. We went down to the lookout for the highest waterfall (lots of stairs and not all of them very even heights) and we are glad we did. Enjoyable day, even though it was in the 90’s by the time we were done, since there are virtually no places where the sun is beating down on you.

Much of the trail follows a beautiful stream through relatively dense woods and ferns. The trail is both long and attractive, especially considering its proximity to the city.

Good for a morning walk with a buddy! A little anti-climatic at the turn around, but interpretive signs were pretty interesting. I’d do it again.
