This place was totally and completely out of my way, but it was so worth it once I got here. The entire hike is stunning. Very few people hiking here in the winter so it felt like I had the place to myself!

I hiked this trail in July and was disappointed because I couldn’t do the whole thing. It’s beautiful and the descent is not too difficult, but the trip back up will take about twice as long. I want to come back and complete the trail because of its amazing scenic route through the Grand Canyon.

It was beautiful but now it’s noisy and trashy! Put earbuds on... not everyone wants to hear ur crappy music!! The sounds of nature are so much better than whatever ur blasting from ur phone. Please take ur trash with u when u leave!!!

relaxing and fun trail.

Fairly easy hike, was able to do this with my 4 year old daughter and wife no problem. Tons of folks out there on Sunday 1/13/19. not a quiet hike, but enough space on the trail for everyone. Hardest parts are just crossing streams here and there on the way to and from the waterfall, very doable for all ages and dogs are allowed too !

Descended the Kaibab trail on January first and spent two nights at Bright Angel campground. Hiked up Bright Angel. An Amazing trip! Snowed New Years Eve so we had an absolutely beautiful setting for our trip. Train for the downhill hike as it sure kicked my............ The Ascent on the Bright Angel was gorgeous. It helped to have layers as we went from 40 degrees to 18F. Traction device for boots also helpful above Indian Gardens. We left Phantom Ranch at 10 am and most of us were out by sundown so headlamps are recommended. Some young hikers did down and up in one day stopping for a beer at Phantom Ranch! Not for the Faint! Hope to do rim to rim some day!!

What an awesome hike! If you have a four wheel Drive you can access the parking lot just above the trail. Pretty easy hike for someone in shape
And trail savvy. Some tight spots in a couple of the slots but amazing. Beautiful day, great weather! Went in the fall. Highly recommend

We couldn’t get to the parking lot because the area was blocked off, so we parked in the residential neighborhood 3 miles below the trailhead and hiked up. Sturtevant falls was beautiful! It’s only about 2 miles from the trailhead. Would be great to visit in spring after it’s rained a little bit. We combined this hike with a visit to Hermit Falls (which was another 1.5 miles or so from the trailhead). Total round trip was about 13 miles. Nice and shady hike at this time of year, but be careful when visiting the falls because the rocks are slippery.

great hike, VERY crowded. went on a thursday, a less busier day but still saw a lot of people on the trail. parking wasn’t difficult, they have a lot as well as an overflow lot. half of the hike is relatively easy on a paved road. take a left when you come across both forks. the second half of the hike (after you get under the bridge) get significantly prettier and shadier. you cross the stream a few times before the waterfall. the water flow was good. too much graffiti but honestly not a lot of trash. makes a great skill level for beginners.

Perfect for a Sunday afternoon afyer a winter rain, and would be even more lovely on a quieter day during the week. just the right amount of stream and boulder hopping for a fitst day back after the holidays.

My favorite trail because of all the trees and waterfalls.

It is a very nice hike to see some hoodoos and other formations. I also really like how some unscrupulous lowlife scum sucking bottom feeders are thinking (?) that carving their name in the rocks is the best thing to do.

Cute little waterfall at the end of the hike. Pretty easy terrain to hike on, especially with a dog.

Relatively easy, but pretty long. There are lots of nice spots along the trail. Especially near the river. Free parking but it is very limited. Dogs can be on the trail but the juerros complain if you let them off, no matter how well trained/behaved your dog is.

El viaje fue muy increíble y este lugar es encantador, el blanco de la sal es tan bonito, es un buen lugar para fotos, lo recomiendo mucho.

A great way to start the new year

excellent trail with amazing views, we did it in late December, dress for cold weather, it was 8 degrees on our trip, watch for snow storms and bring crampons for the upper section. will do again soon.

Great trail to take with kids, especially for a first time hike. It’s pretty heavily trafficked, so you may be annoyed if you like quiet hikes.

It’s very good app for hiking I love when I go to live a experience knowing the way and the beautiful panoramas

We had fun did a little over 4 miles round trip. Got pretty close to the falls but became tough for my wife at 30 weeks pregnant.

lovely easy hike, not much of a lake but the views and that forest is totally worth it.

Closed due to government shutdown and water contamination. Come on Democrats, it's only pocket change. Love this trail

We did this hike first thing in the morning, and had Gower Gulch to ourselves. Golden canyon was so crowded until you get to red cathedral then we had it to ourselves again! By the time we got back to our car at Zabriskie point that parking lot was packed. So go early and hang in there because the whole loop is awesome! It has a little bit of everything-rock scrambling, colorful rocks, high canyon walls, some flat easy walking as well as some ups and downs, and fantastic views!

Easy trail. I did not care for the amount of people and the dog deposits on the trail. It was good for a quick outing.

super easy hike. very very over crowded, especially during the summer. your lucky if there is even water falling from the falls. the trail is easy, its always busy so u just follow the crowd as u go.

Fairly easy, though there is a paved road side and an unpaved side that’s a little more challenging.

Great views of half dome. Areas to stop and throw rocks in the water, if that’s of interest. Decent picnic type hike. Still open and clear in the winter.

Park at north pines camp ground if you can. There’s also a shuttle stop if you are able to get on the shuttle.
