Be aware that while the trail itself is moderate I believe the distance listed is way off. The map and description indicated a round trip distance of 4.8 miles but to get to the actual falls at the cliff it was 4.8 miles one way.

Great easy and scenic trail. If you’re into trail running it’s a steady incline with even ground until you get the rocks on top. Be extra careful on the rocky area because it was snow covered and slippery.

Great views during our December hike, while headed up and down, 360 degrees at the top. My only criticism is too few markings in several locations where trail forks, making AllTrails GPS location checks necessary. Be certain to check your location at the top Bald area, and walk the entire loop indicated on the AllTrails App, including towards the rock-faced area on the Northern side...great views at the edge!

Very picturesque.

Great trail that is not nearly as popular as it should be. There are two short spurs that go around the lake and to an overlook. These are not marked as clearly as they could be, so it would be worthwhile to download the map or pick one up from the park office before leaving.

Apart from the overlook, most of the trail is through the forest without much in the way of views, but the trail is still beautiful, with many picturesque streams and rivers. For the most part the trail was very well maintained, but some did portions require a little bit of care. There were two difficult climbs of about a mile each.

Very pretty trail. Someone has trimmed the entire trail where it was narrow. TY. Looks great. Waterfalls, creek crossings, bridges, camping spots, Huge pines, views. This trail has it all. From parking at Warman Dell to the top and back was just over 8.6 miles for me. Great Trail.

Great hike with amazing views of the town below! Lots of trailheads, so it’s easy to get off whenever you need.

It was raining when i went. looked like there would have been a great view on a sunny day. I'll definitely go back though when i can see that overlook.

great views on an awesome trail. Near the top are a row of privies provided by Army.

Well maintained trail and highly trafficked. Would be nice for a trail run if not so crowded.

Very good hike, and absolutely stunning views. It is well worth making it to the top.

Unfortunately, we ran out of time and did not make it to the top. This hike is NOT 7.2 miles. It's closer to 9.5 miles round trip. Beautiful waterfalls on the way, just disappointed we didn't reach the knob.

My wife and I did this loop on November 3. Plenty of water sources were available along the trail. I found it to be moderate, with one or two short, strenuous sections. Decent amount of other hikers on the trial - lots at the visitor’s center and picnic area.
Spent the night at the Fern Cove backcountry site. Close to water, but the ground was all slightly sloped for a tent. Had a firepit available.

A must if you in the area. Multiple waterfalls and campsites along the route. Well maintained

Looking up from the parking lot was intimidating, my wife and I joked about doing the winery instead. We are 60+ hikers and don’t give up easily, so up we went, and made it to the top. Apple watch says 5.06 miles, 1542 feet elevation, 3 hours and 19 seconds, including lunch and photo stops. This was a cool November hike, so no wildflowers or leaf colors, but the views were spectacular, well worth the effort.

excellent short hike!

This is our new favorite waterfall trail. Several beautiful falls before the big one. Can’t believe how this little creek makes such huge noisy falls. Trail is easy, did some rock hopping to get up to see the falls come through the cliff. Didn’t climb to the top, that looked very steep and treacherous. Started around 10, lots of parking spaces. Finished around 1. Parking was scarce.

This is a great.view with a great hike!

Had a great day. Beautiful scenery. Will do again in the near future.

Beautiful scenery! Trail was fine first part.. last mile was difficult, BUT worth it when you reached the top. Loved it.

I LOVE THIS TRAIL. I’m sad it took me so long to find out about it, seriously. This trail has it all! 3 waterfalls, a river, a mountain, an AMAZING lookout.... I loved it so much. The first two miles are fairly easy, then the last two are climbing up to Pinnacle Knob. I really, really enjoyed this hike. I went on a Saturday and maybe saw about 15 people the whole time. I also took my three dogs and they had a great time. Highly recommend this trail! Parking is nice and convenient too. Also a lot of really cool camp spots. Another thing, the trail has been rerouted since it was last updated on here, so it’s definitely more like 4 miles to the top.

I loved the views on this trail. It was a bit rooty but not bad. I am new to hiking and did the trail with ease. To get the cave with waterfall tho is a boulder climb which may be where you turn around! The bathrooms tho were horrid I held it the entire time because of how bad they were.

Beautiful trail but the beginning was not for people who are afraid of heights. I sadly have a fear of heights and found it very difficult. The part from the beautiful falls on was fantastic! I think it’s one of the prettiest hikes I’ve ever been on. We went in the summer.

This is a great trail to hike for beautiful long range views! There are many rock outcroppings along the way. It was rocky and rooty in some places. My girls are experienced hikers, but we were unprepared for this trail. (We didn’t bring enough snacks to keep them happy and energized). LOL! But the views made it all worth wild!

My family and I had a great time on this beautiful hike. We love hiking near water and this hike follows the creek more than 90% of the time. My daughters are 6 and 7 and pretty experienced hikers already. This was an easy hike for them and our 2 dog (Vizsla & Yorkie).

We did the western fork and it was definitely a challenge from the lake to Lookout Point. The lake should be a definite side Trail for you to explore you get to walk completely around the lake.

Beautiful hike! Did this with my sons last weekend. It was cloud and overcast, so we stayed cool. The falls are a great payoff. I don't recommend climbing to the top of the cliff, it has gotten very dangerous since my last visit a few years ago.

Fun hike! Steady incline.

Views that’ll make you smack yo mama. Tough hike but totally worth the sweat. Get a pic on the rock up top. You’ll know the one.
