I got plastered by artificial snow makers trying to find the trailhead by the Brighton Ski resort, but once found it was a great hike! It was fairly quick, even with the snowfall on the ground. I loved skipping rocks on the frozen lake and hearing those cool Star Wars noises.

Did the loop trail instead. Definitely recommend it over this super short one. Picturesque and fun.

Waterfall in The beginning of November is like a sink dribbling water lol good exercise though.

Did this trail yesterday, it hard to follow the trail with the recent snowfall and quite slippery due to icy areas, but worth the challenge and inspiration for capturing both visually and mentally the solitude of this area. Simply beautiful.

If you hike only one trail in Valley of Fire this should be it! Amazing colors, rock formations, slot canyon, awesome! Do it!

This was an excellent hike for all levels. It’s starts out with a gradual upgrade as you walk through the forest. Gorgeous views starting out. The trail does a switch back that heads off to the right that quickly became quite a bit steeper. The switchbacks made it doable. Our 10 year old daughter wasn’t thrilled about how long it was taking. She did get tired. We gave the option to turn around. Other hikers let us know we were about 15 minutes from the waterfall and cave. She then got determined to make it to the falls. We finally made it and the views were spectacular. The waterfall is trickling off of the mountain right now. Our daughter was super proud of herself for making it to the top. She climbed up a level and enjoyed sitting under the water. It was a great hike for exercise and ended with really gorgeous views. It’s always nice to be able to hike to water. We would definitely do it again. Without kids, you would get a killer workout in if that’s what you’re going for. Make sure to layer your clothing this time of year. When we left Vegas it was about 10-12 degrees warmer. It was cool up at the waterfall as the wind picked up a bit. The Temperature felt amazing as long as you could add or take off a layer. For those that may not be as stable on their feet, walking sticks would be nice. Not necessary, but helpful.

Lots of people. Trail not greatly marked. Doesn’t really have an “end” to the trail. Saw rock climbers which was fun. Would recommend.

It was a pretty hike, but very crowded. The switchbacks are in pretty bad shape from erosion from people taking “short cuts”. We witnessed many people trying to be “adventurous” bypassing the switchbacks. Not only was it kicking rocks down on people, but also tearing up the earth. Show some respect. STAY ON THE TRAIL!

Great hike, really beautiful. 3-6 inches of snow and lightly snowing all day. Well worth the uphill climb.

Trail closed at 3rd tunnel - we did not see any signs that it was closed until we got to that point. Tried from the Hoover dam side the next day and again there were no signs that the trail was closed. We hiked to the first tunnel and found the gates closed so could go no further. Terrible communication from the park service.

Arrived around 8:45 on Saturday morning and were surprised to see hardly any cars. Took us less than 2 hours and we hiked almost 4 miles at a very slow pace. We ended up not going up the switchbacks on the way up (took a left instead of a right at a fork). The trail is clearly marked at the beginning and then the blazes become non existent. Our “trail” up had a very steep grade with very loose rocks. It got us there quick but we really had to watch our steps. Cool cave to explore to the left of the 3 falls (more like trickles...but there was water!). And then we found the real trail to take back down. We did venture off it to check out a cool view and ended up on a very steep, non switchback trail for a little bit. Extremely dangerous due to the loose rocks. Parking lot was almost full when we completed our hike.

great hike for this park. short and flat

Stayed at an Airbnb for $25 in this neighborhood and walked over to this area. It is a change of pace for what you would expect for Vegas hiking/walking. Humid air rises from the wetlands and there can be mosquitoes. Mostly saw families out enjoying an evening walk. Would go again if in the area.

Very relaxing hike. Gets some good exercise and also cool down from the hot city. I parked at the lower bristlecone lot and ended at the upper lot and walked on the road to my car. I think that’s the smart play.

Kid friendly!! My daughters hiked barefooted because it’s all sand. We found water at the end of the hike and several small caves.

Super cool trail with a great little slot Canyon! The rain had just hit, so the water was pretty deep in some places. We ended up wading through almost waist deep water in some places. Super rad hike though!

A short hike but a beautiful view. It was very hot the day we went but the crowds weren’t bad.

This was an awesome hike I did on Saturday morning. I would highly recommend this hike if you are in great shape because it can get hot you have to carry your own water. Different places on the trail can have more or less people on it someplace is your buyer self other places it’s congested. Get there as early as you can the views are spectacular specially at the end of the trail.
A Virtual Treadmill video of this hike can be seen on my YouTube Channel, copy and paste link below to watch it. Thanks.

Great little training hike with a cool payoff at the end. Mid week is best to avoid crowds. It’s pretty easy hiking, stay on the trail and don’t cut the switch backs, and remember it starts at 7,800’ in elevation so pace yourself until you’re acclimated.

Great hike, don’t forget you are starting at about 7800 feet

With all the great hikes in the Vegas area I don't think I would do this one again. It was super easy: wide, flat, mostly straight. But it was quite long and there is no shade except the tunnels, so I'm not sure if kids or elderly could do the whole thing. There are some great views of the lake and the railroad tunnels had bats, but mostly I hiked it so I could get to Hoover Dam without dealing with the chaos of the traffic and parking garage there. Went early in the day in June and had to help an elderly lady suffering from heat exhaustion back to her car and her daughter was going to take her to the hospital. Take plenty of water and keep in mind that if you go to the Dam, it can add at least another mile. Also at certain times of day or year the gates to certain parts can be closed.

One of my favorites on the mountain!

Love this trail! One of mine & my dog Annies favorites ✌

Nice hike and surprised to find it completely snow covered in late October. The snow made it even more fun, and the trail was still easy to follow.
