Nice hike on a Spring morning. Disappointed at the end. Excavation at the hole with a big pipe sticking out of it. Haven't been able to find out what it was for. Anyone else have any answers?

Good trail. met lots of people. if you don't like hiking UP, then Ddon't do this one. The waterfall was beautiful. parts of the trail you need to be very careful with foot placement.

Slightly muddy. At the hole there is a significant amount of water so no going in. Three boys 7, 8, and 9, had no issues. Took alternate trails back. Phone worked the whole way so I knew we were ok, but honestly youre never out of sight of civilization.

Beautiful hike, with great views. The trail was a pretty snowy/muddy at parts, but still hikeable. I was recommended this hike by a volunteer at Galena visitors center and it did not disappoint.

A nice hike that is close to the city of Reno. Trail can get really muddy during wet seasons and crossing the river can be challenging when the river is high. Great views throughout and a satisfying waterfall at the end. I've done this trail in summer and winter and it was a good experience both times. A lot of other hikers and dogs.

Did an approx 7 mile run from white creek trail to dry pond and there was very little if any ice/mud on the way. The pond was full of loud frogs that made for an awesome halfway point to relax to listen to them.

Amazing hike for March incredible views of waterfall and scenery. From summer to winter in one hike! Bring a sweater just in case

elevation gets very high but beautiful hike!!

Great!

Really fun trail! Was a soupy mess with the snow melting, but still had a blast. Trail was a bit difficult to find in the higher elevation of Peavine due to deep snow, but was able to follow along with the app. The only point that you could hear traffic, was along the southern part that ran parallel with McCarran. Good views of the Reno skyline. Nature trail part was interesting as well. Only passed a couple other hikers; lots of footprints suggest that the peak time is before 5 pm. Parking is difficult for the trail head. I ended up parking in the apartment complex lot. Was happy to see the car there when I returned!

Fun hike that's close to town. Lots of people out on a warm Sunday afternoon. Trail was pretty soupy in 5-6 spots from the rain and snow melt. Lots of footprints churning up the mud. Once in the tree line trail was very slick on the inclines. Waterfall was very pretty, as was the rest of the hike. Trail head is far enough from major roads that there was no sounds of town, only rushing water from the creek the whole way. Interesting to see where one of the recent fires affected and stopped.

fantastic trail for anyone in Reno. I love the sound of the creek as you hike.

Nice hike!
Few runners and bikes but not overly packed with people.
Some snow and mud. Shoe chains helped in the few inches of snow on the ground.

Couple inches of snow once you get in the trees but mostly dirt and mud on the way up. The trail can be easily followed and navigated. Recommend good traction on your shoes since the mud and snow can get a little slick on the steeper slopes. Great run! Especially coming back down! Enjoy!

Hiked this on Saturday, 2/10, it was muddy and icy in several areas. Did not hike down the back side as many said it was very icy. Great hike, beautiful scenery. Lots of dogs and bikers too!

Interesting trail. All of the elevation gain is in the first bit, the majority of the way is very level. The "Hole In the Wall" was much bigger than I expected. Nice hike this winter as I had the daughter and grand daughter along, so didn't need to worry about cold feet in snow. Didn't have any issues finding the trail, just used the map in the app and zoomed in to distinguish the route.

Beautiful hike and perfect weather. Some ice going downhill as well as some mud but an overall great hike.

Hike was beautiful, icy on the far side but very manageable. The trail was pretty busy but everyone was very nice! Great views! At a steady pace can be done in less than 3 hours. We will do this hike again soon!

Great trail but very frustrating that so many dogs were off the leash! If your dog is nice that's great but you don't know how dogs will interact. It caused my hike to have moments of stress that I would rather not have to anticipate. The hike was beautiful, I would do it again without my dog.

It was beautiful

Enjoyed the evening walking with 4 children.

As it’s been noted, the trail head is hard to find. Just find parking near the river and take a right towards the bridge to find the trailhead.

Gorgeous hike, a good portion of it in the sun, even during the winter months it got a little warm. Muddy at this time of the year for stretches, not more than 1/2 mile or so. The waterfall at the end is worth it...sort of frozen over in the winter. Didn’t find the “bridge” the first time through, but built up logs made it fairly easy to cross

very nice walk

Little muddy today, but always an amazing hike :)
As others have mentioned, there is a bridge so you don't have to cross the very first creek. Take the higher trail to your left and follow it in for a ways, until you see a small white silo on your right. There is a metal grate bridge right there!

I went back to try the trail again and managed to find the bridge. Take the very narrow steep trail that goes up to the left and follow it along the creek until you find a metal bridge that crosses over it. It will be on your right a ways up the creek. Once you cross the creek, which is flowing very heavily right now, it’s an absolutely gorgeous hike
